Curt’s Brick & Stone LLC

I don't know if this company is even in business! I read an article that one person wrote that said she had excellent service from them. If this is true, then perhaps she was their last or only customer. I was able to leave a message on the recorder, you'd think the owner could have called me back and said we have gone out of business or we're no longer taking on new customers because we're too busy! I'm not happy with the attitude of Curt's Complete Landscaping by not calling me. I would NOT recommend bothering with this company as thier not calling has caused me to be way behind in getting a huge amount of work redone (so I don't fall again from unlevel pavers. I'm 71 and the fall I took has been confirmmed by two doctors that I've a pinch nerve in my left elbow and it also has undone all the therapy I went through for my back and neck (bulging disc's) that I had under complete control. This is one of the main reasons I need the work done as soon as possible. I did call another landscaper in Deleware, OH and he came out and will be giving me an estimate in about a week. This landscaper is also on Angie's List.

These guys are excellent! The estimator was very knowledgeable. They showed up exactly on time, and finished early! I have already referred them to friends.

They were excellent. They did it in four days, which is unheard of. They did a good job and they listened to what we wanted.

We got over 10 estimates for the patio- we were looking for not only price, but a company who seemed to grasp our vision for the patio design. Curt's was right-on with the drawing they came back with after meeting with us. They were very easy to work with- this is a family run business and the same 4 or 5 guys were here the whole time- they do not use contractors- so you know that the people you worked with on the design will also be doing the installation- no communication problems. Curt's also had the best price out of all the contractors we met with. The patio was installed in 5 days and it is BEAUTIFUL!! All of our friends and neighbors have "patio-envy"! Our next door neighbors loved ours so much, they had Curt's put in their patio the next week and are also thrilled with theirs. After our installation, we discovered that one of our main water lines underground (and under the new patio) had been broken- probably due to the weight of the bobcat. Curt's worked with our irrigation company to come back out- at no cost to us- rip out a section of the patio so the pipe could be repaired, and replace it so it looked like nothing ever happened. We have several friends who now want to use Curt's as a result of our experience and our fabulous patio. We've done the research for you- use Curt's- no need to shop around- you will not be disappointed!! Great service, great price and beautiful results!

An excellent experience from start to finish. Nate was extremely helpful in answering the many questions we had and gave great advice. They did a very competitive quote and they offer a good Angie's List discount. The communication was great before and during the work--Nate always called to let us know what was going on. The steps look fabulous, even better than we expected.

I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the driveway. Curt and his crew were very courteous, exceptionally neat and professional. The driveway looked perfect and the grass next to it was restored very well. I waited until now (Apr 2010) to report because I wanted to see how the driveway made it through the winter. It looks as nice now as it did the day it was installed. I was a little concerned about shoveling snow on a paver driveway, it is as easy as an asphalt driveway, maybe a little easier. I seems as if snow and especially ice do not stick to the bricks like it does asphalt. The bricks are not as slippery as a sealed asphalt driveway. My daughter had Curt install a paver patio 4 years ago, it is still in great shape. I would recommend Curt's concrete to anyone thinking about a paver driveway.

We were very pleased. Their bid was considerably lower than the rest, and they completed the job quickly, neatly, and to my specifications. Within in a few weeks, one couldn't even tell that construction had been happening in our yard.

Overall we had a good experience and are very pleased with the final product. Things didn't go perfect, but we were pleased with how the team responded to our concerns. Here are the issues that came up: (1) Jake scheduled a time to provide an estimate but missed the appointment. It was an honest mistake because he got his calendar mixed up. He apologized sincerely and directly without making any lame excuses and he was extremely flexible in finding another time that would work for us. (2) Our lawn was torn up more than expected. Our expectation was based on similar work Curt's did for our neighbors with no noticeable lawn damage. The ground was softer and wetter when they did our work so we ended up with two muddy ruts across our yard from the truck's tires, plus a couple other bare spots in our yard near the patio installation. The team acknowledged that the amount of damage done was "greater than average, but not unreasonable" and responded to our concerns by taking some extra steps to repair the damage. It was not perfect and we still have a bit of yard repair to do on our own but again I was pleased that they did their best to respond to our concerns. To summarize, we believe we got a nice looking, high quality patio at a good price. If you use them to do your work, just be aware that they will drive a truck full of heavy stuff across your yard and, unless the ground is completely dry when they do you your work, your lawn will likely sustain some damage and need some TLC.

They did it very quick and efficiently. I am very happy with it. The price was almost half less than other companies. They came on time. They did a great job. Some of my neighbors used them as well and they did a great job.

We had several companies come out and give us quotes. I picked Curt's Brick Stone and Concrete from the yellow pages blindly. Our salesperson was Jake. He showed up on time, was professional, answered all of our questions and provided us a quote on site. He brought examples of pavers and worked with us to find the best ones for our patio based on our color and texture choice. His team showed up promptly on the first day of work. They were all very professional and worked with us to save some of the old pavers for other use. It took them roughly three days to complete the patio, but there was rain mixed in with those days when they couldn't work. They gave us good advice on how to prolong the color of the pavers and dos/don'ts during the first couple of days. We are thrilled with the outcome of the patio. We love to spend time outdoors and are looking forward to enjoying it to the fullest. I feel very strongly that if any issue comes up with the patio that they will partner with me to fix it.

These guys are super concientious and work very hard to meet your expectations. They perform quality work and are resonably priced. They kept us well informed of their progress and the finished result was absolutely beautiful All were polite and professional and it was a very pleasant experience from beginning to end. Can't say enough good things about Caleb!

Our experience with Curt's was fantastic from start to finish. Very professional, high quality work, competitive pricing, and great communication throughout. We have absolutely no complaints, and the end result was better than we even imagined. We have already recommended Curt's to several of our friends.

They were responsive and professional from the very first phone call. Jake came prepared with everything needed to give us a full quote on site. They installed the patio in two days, reseeded small areas of lawn that were disturbed, and hosed down the street. Olia's (sp?)was absolutely delightful. VERY professional and incredible work. They paid great attention to detail and handled our frequent and silly questions with patience. We love the work!

They came out quickly to give us estimates then made a return visit with brick samples and photos so we could make a more informed choice. We originally were going to have a stamped concrete patio but they were able to do paver for just a little bit more. They were about $1000 below another company's paver estimates, a company who used the same brick supplier. Work started about two months after our initial appointment (which is when they told us they could start). Patio is very well done and the steps are beautiful, large bricks with a wonderful herringbone pattern in the middle of the top step. They also hauled away our old deck and cleaned/washed the street. I would recommend to anyone looking for a paver patio.

It went very good. There weren't any problems or issues. They came out and did the job exactly how they said they would. They didn't use as much materials as they thought they would so they deducted it from the total cost. They were very friendly and they arrived promptly. Also they did a good job cleaning up afterwords.

I worked with Jake in which he helped us plan our patio according to our budget and was very accommodating as we had a couple of change requests several weeks before construction was scheduled to begin. It took the crew of three only two days to complete the job which exceeded our expectations. The crew members were careful not to damage existing landscape and did a great job in cleaning the site after the work had been completed. They answered all of our questions when the job was finished and even planted grass seed where some top soil had been poured in front of the patio. I would highly recommend Curt's to anyone thinking of having a paver patio installed for their home.

Originally Curt's came out last year and provided an estimate and we unfortunately could not do the work last year. We called them earlier this year and our appointment was during one of the worst winter storms we've had. They kept the appointment and provided us with an updated estimate that was very reasonable and was kept to the amount after the work was completed.

Andy Busch was the sales rep who first met with us to scope out the location. He was a true professional, who made recommendations on the design and showed us photos of their previous work to give us ideas. After the initial consultation, he met with us once more to show us samples of the stone and brick to be used in the project. They were able to start the work a week early, and it took them only 2 days to complete the work. The team placed plywood down on our lawn to protect it from the bobcat, and for the most part, cleaned up after themselves. The post lights I had ordered arrived a week and a half later, and as promised, Curt's team returned to install them. Not only that, the employee who came to install them saw that I did not have the bases for the lights (my oversight), and went to the local Home Depot to purchase them for me! Talk about great customer service!

I called Jake to schedule a time for him to come out and give me an estimate, he arrived punctually that day and worked with me to draw up a plan and work through a few details that I had not considered. I had initially called him to give me a price quote on a stamped concrete patio as I had with 3 other local companies. After talking with Jake it became clear that I could actually get a paver patio for less than a stamped concrete patio when working with his company. Two days after meeting with Jake we decided to sign the contract with Curt's and schedule the patio installation. We were able to schedule the install to happen a week and a half later. The crew arrived on the exact day specified and got down to work immediately taking care to protect my lawn and existing landscaping. The whole project took two days and turned out even better than I expected. The entire crew was courteous and respectful of my home and and took care to minimize any damage to my lawn. WONDERFUL JOB!

We started looking at patio ideas in the summer. After getting some pretty good advice, and 4 or 5 estimates, we settled on Curt s to do the work. Our decision was based on a few factors: performance reports from Angie s, plans, estimates, final costs, and the sales pitch. Jake Livingston, Curt s representative, listened to our ideas, presented us with alternate choices, and drew up the plans as we talked. Following the decision on what designed patio we wanted, Jake gave us an estimate we could live with. Very professional! Jake then looked at his schedule and estimated work could start in two weeks. That was fine with us. He called a couple of days later and asked if we wanted to have the work start earlier? We jumped on that. The materials were delivered on one day and work began the next. After two days, and some bad weather, the job was completed. The crew then repaired and seeded the ruts in the lawn that were made by the bobcat. Thanks, guys!

They were very good, price was very reasonable.

I'm glad he wasted our time and my husband coming home from work early not to get a quote back to us.

The good: responsive scheduling. Were very good accommodating our design. The job start was pushed back several times due to the paver we wanted being back ordered. They were good about calling a day or two before to let us know they wouldn't be out and to set a new date. Throughout it all everyone was very friendly and the patio is very nice. The not so good.: We had asked that nothing be dumped in the street due to covenants, there was a pile of gravel left there for a few days. Our drive was scratched up pretty badly from the bobcat. Our side lawn was deeply rutted from the bobcat and some of the grass torn up, we were told they'd fix that when it dried out a bit but they didn't came back for it. We'd asked that there be gaping left in the base of the wall for drainage, that wasn't done. The crew wasn't very good about cleaning up the site at the end of each day and at the conclusion of the job the driveway and street were left very muddy, we ended up washing up ourselves.
