Only thing they didn't do was the back bathroom floor. Could be because there are 2 litter boxes there. If I had known, I would have moved them so they could clean he floor.

It went very well. They are very courteous and business like. The house would smell good and you could tell it had been cleaned. They were very professional and they came and went quickly. They would always leave a nice note.

I recently arranged for Cottage Care to clean my home. Upon arriving home after work, we discovered that they did not clean the basement of our house as previously agreed upon. I promptly left a message with the company about my concern and asked for a return call to rectify the situation. The next day, I did not receive a call back and had to reach out to them again. When I spoke to the manager, she claimed that the house keeper said that she did clean that area of my home, but that a contractor who was also working at my home at that time messed up her work and then asked her to clean up his mess. I expressed concern about the validity of that story, given there was no one working in that space on that particular day to my knowledge and we were familiar with the workers who were there that day (painters). I was able to later verify that the workers were indeed not in the basement that day and never asked the house cleaner to clean up after them. For a company that touts a high commitment to customer service/satisfaction, I found their management unprofessional and unresponsive when handling this situation. I can't believe that they made up a story to defend not doing their work instead of just owning up to the mistake and offering to fix it. Although, they ultimately offered to send a cleaner back to our house to "touch up," I do not feel comfortable having them back into my home after being misled. I will not be hiring Cottage Care again, as I find them unprofessional and untrustworthy. In general, i also feel that their prices are quite high in comparison to other local services.

They lady came and did a great job. I was happy with what she did. They cleaned the house, cleaned everything. It was half the price. If they were proposing to do it for the regular price, it wouldn't be worth it to me.

They didn't do the full housecleaning; they said they weren't going to do certain areas. I wasn't real happy with the quality of the clean so I wouldn't use them again. It wasn't a thorough clean. They didn't dust the lights in the entryway. They didn't want to do anything in my dining room. I told them they didn't have to do my family room. The things they cleaned didn't seem to be that clean. It wasn't an excellent experience at all. The pricing was good if I had gotten what I paid for. They weren't wanting to give me what I paid for which was a full house clean. They were responsive when I contacted me.

They're honest and on time. They're trustworthy. They're good enough.

We have used cottage care for a monthly house cleaning service for awhile now. Have always been happy with the cleaning. Annette, the manager, is great to work with for scheduling and requesting services. They have always showed up when they were scheduled and Annette calls the day before to remind me. We tried another company but switched back to cottage care because of the great customer service and sticking to there schedule!

The woman who performed the house cleaning was nice but her work was average. Based upon the ad that I received, I was expecting thorough cleaning. I received a basic dusting, wiping down, sweeping and mopping. My condo was definitely clean when she left, but the service wasn't anything exceptional. The scheduling, however, was outstanding. A woman (I think the manager or franchisee) contacted me right away and was extremely flexible with scheduling the cleaning. She went above and beyond and was very pleasant and professional. Overall, my experience was average as my ratings indicated.

They did an adequate job. They were here on time, did the work, didn't have any problems with them, and the price was okay with the service.

Annette is very good to work with and made the scheduling easy. She also helped accommodate me with cleaning fewer areas when I was trying to lower the cost. They send out two people who bring their own supplies. They were out for 3-4 hours. I changed my overall rating to a "B" from an "A" because the quality was not consistent. The first visit left my house sparkling clean and then 2nd visit was not satisfactory. This cycle continued a few times- perfectly clean and then not so much- until I cancelled services for unrelated reasons.

The workers arrived on time and were very nice. I told them that what I needed most was a very thorough vacuuming, but they seemed to finish much too quickly to have done a really thorough job. I'm a very good housekeeper, and I'm sure my home didn't look that dirty, so I think they may have skipped over some things. One of workers commented about the cleanliness of my tubs and showers, and I realized the next day that they must have skipped them because of it. When they were almost finished, their supervisor came to evaluate their work, so they started packing everything up and forgot to clean the living room. I called as soon as I realized but was told that they were already back at their office, and no offer was made to return. I just think that a business worth its salt would have rushed right back to complete the job.

They were very nice, but did a mediocre job compared to others I've had for housecleaning. I paid extra to have the floors mopped, which they did with a quick mop rather than by hand (as other company's do) and the floors were still very dirty afterwards.

I bought this housecleaning job for my friend who has 2 kids and a full time job. She took off work so Cottage Care could get into the house. After 2 hrs of work the Cottage Care people left and my friend called me because she was so disappointed. Kitchen and bathroom floors was not clean and the cabinets and oven still had dirt on them. My friend called the supervisor at Cottage Care and told them what a lousy job these 2 women did. Supervisor said they would make it right but they can't come back to the house for a couple of days. So now I have to rearrange my time so I can go to my friends house to open it up for Cottage Care to clean what they should have cleaned in the first place. UPDATE: I wrote on 12-09-2013 regarding housecleaning done for a friend of mine. So this is a follow up on the situation. Cottage Care came on time to my friends house. One cleaning lady and the supervisor. The work was done in one hour and the cleaning was done to my satisfaction. The supervisor told me why some of the work wasn't done. I can see that it was a lack of communication. Cottage Care was very professional in handling this situation. I will use they again.

Cleaned entire house and did a great job. Very professional. I was totally surprised to have the manager show up at my house to ensure that their staff were doing a good job! Would definitely use this service again.

I purchased the house cleaning special from Angie's List for Cottagecare- Columbus Northeast as a gift for a family member. The dated was set for 10/28. The two ladies arrived on time and went over what had been discussed via a phone call with the owner of the company, Annette. There were three bedrooms, a full bath, kitchen, dining area, living room and laundry room to be cleaned. They ladies explained what cleaning products they used and whether the owners would prefer to use their own cleaning products, and or vacuum sweeper.They dusted from ceiling to floor, polished furniture, vacuumed, wet mopped the floors,scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom sinks,cleaned the outside of the appliances and the inside of the microwave oven.There was concern about using cleaning products on the tub as it been newly glazed. It was suggested to use vinegar, but, after checking with the owner of the company the workers used hot water and sponges and it looked fine. The wooden shades on the windows needed to be dusted twice. It was explained that the company doesn't wipe the shade slates individually but just dusts them all at once with the shades in the up and down position. There is a separate service at $30.00 per hour for extras like the wiping the shades or wet wiping the floor boards down, they said.'s The owner, Annette stopped by as the ladies were finishing up and reviewed the work. She spent time dusting the shades again.She explained that she always checks with customer the first time the service is used. All in all they did a good job, addressed all concerns, and, I would use them again. It was a great deal from Angie's List .

Overall I was pretty satisfied. I have slatted blinds in my kitchen that were still dusty. I will call and clarify this type of cleaning services that they do. They are a bit more expensive than other places, so I expected the best.

I had signed up for and quot;the Big Dealand quot; and so this was half price, but she didn't skimp. She was on time. She cleaned the bathrooms including the shower stall and glass door and the floors, the camode and sinks. She dusted the vents. She vacuumed and dusted the furniture in the bedrooms and living room and dining room. She cleaned the kitchen floor and the outside of the cabinets and the counters. It was thorough and fast. She was very pleasant. At the end her manager came and looked over her work and gave me prices for repeat service if I desired it. I am used to doing my own cleaning and I was very pleased with the service.

Two people came with all the cleaning supplies and equipment within the time frame promised. Did an outstanding job! Very pleased with the results. Scheduled monthly cleaning.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went very well. They were pretty thorough and I had to ask specifically for them to do a couple of things the way I like them to be done. They were very accommodating.

Everything went well. Kitchen and Bathroom sparkled. Living room, dining room well cleaned and polished. Everything smelled fresh.

It was ok. They came before calling to verify that it was a good time. When they came I was not ready for them and I asked them to come back in a half hour. They did not come back for about 2 hrs. I did speak with the owner and she apologized for the miscommunication. The quality of the cleaning was ok.

The company contacted me right away to schedule and the staff showed up on time and was very professional. They did a good job of cleaning. However, I should have read the and quot;fine printand quot; a little closer. The deal was for whole house cleaning up to 3000 sq. ft. Having a 4 bedroom, 2400 sq. ft. home including 3/4 finished basement, I thought we would get the and quot;whole houseand quot; cleaned. Well, the fine print was for only 3 bedrooms, basement not included and only kitchen floor hand washed. Our entire first floor is hardwood, so I had to pay extra to have them mop the other areas. They would include the basement and 4th bedroom for an upcharge. I decided not to opt for that. I'm sure a 3 bedroom, 3000 sq. ft. home does exist somewhere, but as a Real Estate agent, I've never seen one. Overall, I was pleased with the cleaning, but felt duped by the fine print. They did follow up after the cleaning and asked if they could send a quote for cleaning the entire house on a regular basis and I said that would be great. I never received the quote or heard from them again. Lesson learned...read the fine print.

Manager was very professional and called to remind of upcoming service. She also came to the house just after the worker came to check in. She was very conscientious and attentive. Unfortunately that's all the good I can say. The first girl showed up 45 minutes late and the second girl turned up an hour later. They were missing some of the equipment they needed. The took a long break to and quot;eat somethingand quot; then sat in the car and smoked and talked. (They were only here for 2.5 hours.) The cleaning job was very superficial. Items on the kitchen counter were not moved to clean beneath them - ditto with dusting around the rest of the house.. The kitchen floor was the only floor cleaned and then only lightly damp moped. Most surfaces were only wiped off not cleaned. Bathtub and glass surround still had soap scum and water spots after they and quot;cleaned.and quot; This would have been satisfactory for a bachelor or someone who does no cleaning whatsoever, but as someone who keeps a clean house in short spurts but needs an all at once real cleaning once in a while, this was not satisfactory.

I called Cottage Care last July, and had them come out and clean the house after I had fallen and broke my wrists. We had been redecorating and I was not able to keep up with the cleaning. They came and cleaned the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms, as well as the living room and family room. We set up a bi-weekly schedule and they have always arrived on time and completed the work in a satisfactory manner. If something wasn't satisfactory, Annette made sure that it was completed to my saitsfaction. I am happy with the service.

Annette was very nice on the phone. She got everything scheduled and called the day before to confirm. Two cleaners were sent to my house - one arrived early and started working and the other was on time. They were both very nice and professional. The cleaning was adequate. It was a general cleaning. They did miss a few things - I found an area in the living room that had not been swept and the shower looked like it had been wiped down but not really cleaned. I would use them again if the price was right but I have had other companies perform a more thorough cleaning during a regular (not deep) clean.
