I have been receiving Energy Audits (paper copy) from this company. I called them on Tuesday, February 3. They kept giving me the run-around about how much gas I am (or have been using in the last 12 months). They indicate that I use 55% more gas than 100 other customers with similar homes. The problem is, my home was build in 1979. It has been a total electric home. My husband and I bought this home in October of 2014. We had it converted the day before Thanksgiving 2014. How in the world can they have gas useage prior to November 2014? I don't appreciate receiving info like this. It cost us a pretty penny to have a 96% efficiency gas furnace installed in our home. Just to receive a notice telling us that we are using 55% more gas than similar homes. Also, the cooking was converted to gas, but not until November of 2014. I called again today, February 5. I was put on hold for a very long time. I called back from an unlisted number and the call was answered immediately. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The representative kept asking the nature of the call. I told her all of the above. She began to "hem-haw" about how they randomly select customers to send this info to and then transferred me to another department. I was on hold for a long time. Then got a message that thanked me for a survey, feedback or something like that and then the call was disconnected. I don't know who these people are. But, if they are trying to get business by doing this type of thing, I am very offended. I paid too much for my furnace to have prople (who don't know what they are talking about) tell me I am using 55% more gas than other gas customers.
