We had several 40'+ trees on the ravine behind our house. The ravine is steep with multiple trees, a small stream and a neighbor's fence. We also wanted to keep the wood for our wood-burner. Charter Oaks was very easy to work with and did exactly what we wanted at a great price. Will definitely hire them again.

Charter Oaks is great! Last fall, the company treated my HUGE pin oak tree to prevent oak wilt disease. This most recent service involved cutting quite a bit of dead wood from the tree. Charter Oaks sent several workers, a cherry picker and a grinder to complete the task. The workers took their time and did a thorough job, and they cleaned up all of the small branches/twigs before leaving. I’m very satisfied with their expertise and work, and certainly recommend the company to anyone in need of a professional tree service.

They gave a prompt estimate, followed up with us, and trimmed the tree when we were ready--which was many many months later. They cleaned up the yard very nicely and did a great job trimming the trees. Everyone was very friendly and professional from start to finish.

Charter removed a difficult tree by climbing it and didn’t harm any of the many adjacent trees in the process - very professional!

We have a large yard with multiple older trees. Charter Oaks did trimming of all of our trees and removed several trees. They did a thorough job, left no evidence that they had been there, and were pleasant to work with. The quote was significantly lower than several well known national chains.

I'm a first time home owner. I knew that tree/landscaping services can get quite expensive, so I shopped around a few companies before getting the best quote from Charter Oaks. I was nervous about going with the lowest number because I wasn't sure if it would impact the quality of the work or my experience with them, but I honestly don't think I could have had a better experience anywhere else, regardless of price. They are so kind and professional on the phone, the guys who took care of the tree are safe, fast, friendly, and knowledgeable, and they were even able to fit me into their schedule three weeks ahead of when they had initially projected. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs tree services, and I'll definitely return to them for any future jobs.

Very quick to respond and did a great job removing the tree from a tight space with several utility lines. I would recommend them for sure!!

The 2 men were excellent. As one man worked on the tree, the other man cleaned up all the branches and leaves immediately leaving the area completely clean. Also one of the men moved my recycling to the curb so that it would not be overlooked by the recycle truck. Then he rolled the barrel back to the garage. I was completely impressed with their tree care and professionalism.

Excellent, price reasonable, the guys were prompt, worked without any down time except lunch break, worked well together, very polite, and Phil and the office staff are very courteous and willing to work with schedules. highly recommend this company , will use them again when needed.

Great! Phil, the owner, came for the estimate & explained everything in detail. He drew a diagram of what areas were to be completed & instructions for each. The only glitch was an extra week or so (they were 3-4 weeks out when scheduled), due to their bush hog becoming inoperable during another job. When I called to ask when, the lady I spoke with (sorry, I forgot your name) was very helpful, friendly and responsive each time. They were able to come out within a week after they purchased another bush hog. They arrived promptly on the set time & day. They worked very well & meticulously throughout their 6 hours here. The trees look more balanced & healthy with the dead cut out & thinning of branches. It was nice to have branches cut away from the roof as well & up from the ground. I was particularly impressed with the bush hog & clean up job afterward. All debris was cleaned up. Best arborist tree company we have worked with and will definitely hire again!

They did an excellent job with the trees and they did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. My yard was still a little soft from all of the rain we have had, and they were very careful not to damage the yard even with all of the trips they had to make back and forth to their truck. Their workers were very courteous. I would definitely use them again.

Everything went great, start to finish. Submitted request for a quote via their website and within two days the owner himself came out to provide estimate. He explained everything that would be done very clearly and concisely. When I called the office to schedule, I was told it may be about a week and a half to two weeks before they could get us on the schedule. I explained that we were having some other exterior work done (driveway tear-out and replacement) and that I would like to get it done asap. They were able to accommodate my request with the job being completed 6 days after receiving the quote. The gentleman (Brian) who did the trimming and pruning was very friendly and knowledgeable and addressed all my questions and concerns. He did a fantastic job and the trees look great. Will definitely use this company again and will not hesitate to refer to friends and family.

They were great to talk with and schedule and were able to come out in just a few days to take care of a non urgent tree removal. My only complaint was getting the stumps ground out which took several weeks and a couple of calls but they were very friendly and helpful from the office staff to the onsite work crew

It went great. I can't say enough good things about this company. They were prompt, professional, polite, and the price was very reasonable. I had to have a large maple cut down in my front yard. Jessica in the office was in communication with me about scheduling and did a great job. David, Kurt, and David came and had the tree cut and the area cleaned up in less than 2 hours. They were very careful not to let limbs or parts of the stump to hit the sidewalk or house and cause damage. Jessica scheduled for stump removal a couple days later and that was done well. I had a lot of roots above ground and now the stump and roots are gone. Great job! Would definitely recommend this company!!!

I called on a Thursday for an estimate and they said it would be Monday or Tuesday when someone could come out. However, they came on Friday, when no one was home and left a written estimate in the door. We had some questions about trimming our bushes so I called the office on Monday. The girl said she could probably answer my question. But when she went to look for our estimate she didn’t have it. I waited a couple of days and called back. Again she did not have the estimate. I told her our concern about the bushes and she said she would call me back. We are still waiting. It’s been 3-4 weeks. We got an estimate from another company in the meantime and even though the price was higher for the tree trimming we hired them.

We were very satisfied as we have used multiple time.. Owner Phil Mallory has given person attention. Prompt, courteous . will continue to use as needed.

Charter Oaks did a great job. They had the right people and the right equipment to be able to prune limbs very high in the trees. Now the limbs are back away from my roof!

This company not only provided the most fair quote, but they were timely, responsive and did excellent work. I highly recommend them.

3/2019. Both times they were very knowledgeable, the person doing the trimming was Brian. Very polite, did exceptional work. First time they trimmed our Magnolia and Birch trees plus some others before our new roof was installed and the second time the following spring they trimmed our Buckeye tree and cleaned up limb debris from a winter ice storm that broke several large branches from our Pine trees.

Charter oaks exceeded expectations. The price was reasonable, the workers were prompt and very professional and they look fantastic. We’d used another service for 20 years and will be Charter Oaks customers from now on. Highly recommend!

I have been a home owner for over 30 years and this was an exceptional experience. From the beginning with Phil, the owner, speaking with Jessica and Terry, and watching Ruskie, Kurt and Jake do their amazing work...it was the best experience and was seamless. This company is professional, incredibly knowledgeable and their follow up, precise. They leave the area impeccable, so well that you would never know they were there. I wish there were other companies as competent as Chart Oaks. They are few and far between. I have had other arborists here and they cannot hold a candle to these folks. Charter Oaks has been blessed with success because they do outstanding work. It has been an uplifting experience and I will only hire them again. Love this company!!!!

Everything went well, from beginning to end. We had weather issues and they kept us informed of any delays. The quote included all aspects of removal and price was competitive. We need another tree removed and I will not get another quote. I will just call them.

Excellent. We had one crabapple tree removed and the stump ground into chips. Two smaller trees (dogwood and hemlock) were removed. Two locust trees were pruned. Employees David S. and Dave were professional and courteous. As promised, a week later the crabapple stump was ground.

Work was completed exactly as discussed on estimate.

I was scheduled for the described services when it was a little colder. One of the Pear trees larger limb broke off with first snow and freezing rain. I called Charter Oaks to report my new problem with pear tree with the fire blight. Day later still really cold; Charter had people out taking out broken limb and trimming out the fire blight and other limbs. Very responsive and work was done as described. Cost of service was excellent and did not change with the request to rush scheduled winter service. Would recommend Charter Oaks.
