Crew was quick and efficient and left the yard in better shape than when they came. Trees look great! Professional arborist explained reasoning behind his techniques and helped us to understand. He also gave us a multi-home discount for teaming with neighbors to have multiple trees done in a day. Great experience!

It was a huge tree in our front yard and we were worried about branches going into our neighbors home and dropping on cars parked in the street. For days at a time they don't really answer the phone and they don't check their mail regularly. When I went to drop off a check it was a big muddy lot with no office that I could see. The tree looked almost the same after we had got home.

The trees from Charter Oaks are much, much nicer than the trees that I planted myself. My latest tree is doing amazingly well and is beautiful.

Charter Oaks was great! They were willing to work around my schedule and the work they performed was up to my satisfaction. We have two very large and old (150+ years) trees in our backyard that needed to be trimmed. They did a great job. They also removed a dead tree and came back a few days later to grind out the stump. The third tree they trimmed was in our front yard. There was some miscommunication between myself and my husband, as my husband told them not to cut too much off. And I really wanted more of it trimmed. They were very nice and came back and trimmed it back a little more for me, at no extra charge. I really appreciated it. I would definitely recommend this company.

Charter Oaks ground up a 7' radius stump for us. They were on time, professional and did the job as they said they would. I called them on Friday and they were out first thing Monday morning. This is the second stump they have ground up for me, and I would use them again and recommend them highly for this.

Came out and did estimate the day after I called. I have a very large tree that has top 1/3 dead, which I intended to have cut off. Phil Mallory at Charter Oaks said some trees survive a lightning strike and some don't. He suggested waiting another year to see if tree will live or die before I spend $400 to have top cut now and then pay to have full tree removed next year if tree does not live. Appreciated his saving me money. Price was $600 less than another company's estimate ($1,000 less if you count that one large tree I did not have done). Charter Oaks came when they said, completed work as promised, and cleaned up after themselves.

This was a pleasant and professional experience from the first phone call to completion of work. An arborist came to my house to assess the job and provide an estimate. He came back and completed the work within a few days. All debris was completely removed. He did a great job and greatly improved the appearance of our house and landscaping.

Removed more than enough branches. Left some dead branches higher up. Left area fairly clean.

I wasn't home when the work was initially done and it wasn't done as we discussed. The crew came back out the same day and did a fantastic job. I am quite pleased with the work.

Having used this company in the past for tree removal, I called to have their certified arborist look at an autumn maple in my yard that has areas of dead and dying branches. Phil Mallory, arrived early the next morning. He immediately determined the problem. Common to this particular species of tree, the root system/soil in parts is starving the tree of nutrients, especially at the top where the branches are bare. I asked for an estimate to have the overall tree thinned/pruned. He gave me one, but suggested I wait to see how it survives the winter then the upcoming spring. I thought that was very courteous and professional on his part. He also made a few suggestions I could do to help nurse the tree along to help save it for future shade in my yard. Maybe in a few years it will have to be trimmed or removed. If and when the time comes, I will definately call Charter Oaks Tree Service.

They were responsive to my request for an estimate. I personally visited the site. They gave good recommendations about the work to be performed and status of other trees on the property.

A team of three people completed the work. They worked very hard to protect other nearby trees and ground plants. The company's estimate was well below another company, yet the work was well performed.

Charter Oaks gives EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE! Three years ago we purchased an office building--7 days later part of the willow tree (on "condo association" property) fell on our building and damaged the roof. The builder paid to have the tree "anchored" and trimmed (we wanted it cut down). Two weeks ago one of the 2 remaining sections split at the top and "compromised" the "anchor". Gretchen worked with me to get Stephan, the arborist, out here as quickly as possible. When we decided to hire them to cut the tree down, again, Gretchen gave me VERY PROMPT service! I'm breathing much easier now that the liability of this rotting tree falling on our building and cars is gone! The crew were prompt, professional, and friendly. They went right to work and cleaned up well afterwards. There are 2 more trees that need to be removed in the fall. I have recommended to the "Condo Association" Charter Oaks get the work! I gave the crew refreshments---they were very appreciative!

Charter Oaks provided the estimate for pruning a tree in my yard. After I accepted their estimate, they returned at a later date to perform the work as described. They cleaned up all of the debris that resulted from the pruning.

I will never call anyone but Charter Oaks to do work for me. I thought their price was above and beyond the other in being the lowest and because I was so happy with the team that arrived. They cleaned up the mess after themselves and did a great job for us. I will definitely tell all my neighbors to hire Charter Oaks.

They were very prompt about giving us an estimate and coming out to do the work, even though I'm sure this is their busy season. We are pleased that they cleaned up so well after the tree was cut down and the stump removed.
