Because it was a large job the guys came about 8:00am. They brought a bucket truck,a boom truck and a shredder/truck. They put mats down under the trucks to protect my grass and yard. The guys were very skilled with the equipment and very professional.This is the second time they have removed large trees from our property and they are well worth the money. The office staff were friendly and helpful and the guys clean the yard up as they go so you don't have a mess in your yard. They will bring enough people and the right equipment to get the job done the same day.

We completed all of our communication by telephone. They were responsive and did the job to our satisfaction.

They were very good but not quite excellent. The price I paid was very reasoable for the work they did. The thing that was frustrating was that there was some miscommunication within the company. The day they cut the trees down they cut and/or chipped the trees and hauled them away. However, they left the larger pieces out on the front lawn. They said they would be back in a few days to pick them up. Days went by and they were still in my yard. I called to see what the problem was and they told me there was some miscommunication.

Very polite, friendly and quick. I was initially told about this tree by someone who just came to my door. Though the price was cheaper I don't like people just appearing, though I'm glad I found out. I called Angie's List and that company didn't have good ratings so I called Cox based on what I read about them.

I contacted Charter Oaks to obtain a quote to remove some ash trees that were infested with emerald ash borers. Charter Oaks was professional and prompt in their response. I was pleased that they were substantially less expensive than the other companies that provided quotes. They offered a discounted rate since several trees were removed on multiple properties. The trees were removed and stumps grinded exactly as described. They were quick and did absolutely no damage to the grass. I would definitely use Charter Oaks again.

They did an excellent job. Had to use their crane in all the yards and did not harm any other trees or property. This was a big job and lasted all day. I got quotes from 2 other tree companies and Charter Oaks was the least expensive. The owner is very professional and their crew was also professional. They also have a customer service person in their office who actually calls you back and follows up. It was a very good experience

The company came right away to do an estimate, and was extremely punctual in arriving to do the job. There was a question of which trees were supposed to be trimmed, and I returned home after the crew had left. It appeared they had skipped a tree; I called and they visited the next day to confirm this. They then sent a crew to trim this tree and also do some additional pruning - which I had not requested but which was valuable work - for free.

They stated that this treatment will kill the borer worms but they can't guarantee that the tree has not already suffered irrepairable damage.

perfect. They have done work here before and they are very professional and do exactly what they say they can do. A crane had to be brought down our steep and narrow driveway. It also had to reach over the house as the trees were in a ravine next to the house. I wasn't worried about anything going wrong because I knew what a great job they do. They also clean up and remove everything. There was one branch left and not all of the branches were removed from the boat shed, but those were minor issues. They aren't cheap, but they are licensed and bonded and I feel their employees are top notch.

The large, dead ash tree was removed from our front yard about 5 days after I authorized the work. They used a crane that kept the debris and lawn damage to a minimum. The stump grinding was done about 1 week later. A couple of weeks after that a crew came out and cleaned up the stump area and planted the grass seed. I tried to get 3 bids but, with one "no show", ended up with 2 and Charter Oaks was the most competitive.

I got 3 estimates for the work and their price was the best. The crew did a good job, and very good clean up. In error I paid them twice and they were very helpful in returning one of the checks to me. I would use them again.

I had a very large tree limb come down and knocked out my cable tv service during the storms the end of June. I have used Charter Oaks several times in the past and have been very happy with their work. The owner came out fairly quickly considering how busy they must have been with all of the storm damage done in the city. He gave me an estimate which I accepted and shortly after, the limb was cut and removed. They even took some other limbs that I had cut several weeks ago and had not had the time to cut and bundle them for the city to pick up. Charter Oaks has always done a good job for me. They clean up very well so it doesn't even look like they came. I will continue to use them in the future.

I have used this firm twice in the past and have been very satisfied. This time their price was the second highest of 4 firms providing estimates. I went with the low firm's estimate (they are also rated "A" on Angies List). The arborist with the low bid also provided valid concerns not noted by the other arborists.

The crew arrived on time and did an excellent job. Yes, I would use Charter Oaks again.

The owner, Phil Mallory came out 1 day after I called to get an estimate. He was very nice, and seemed honest as I had several other Ash tree's on my property that he stated could wait another year prior to having any work done. He is also an Arborist and seemed knowledgeable. They were also significantly cheaper than some other quotes I had received (still not cheap, tree services are expensive!). They came out promptly after I hired them for the job (next day) and even cut up some of the logs for fire wood for me at no extra charge. I have to split it myself, but that is expected. The guys that came out and actually did the work seemed to know what they were doing, and were also nice. They cleaned up their mess and overall did a great job. The made one little scrape in the yard when pcking up the big chucks of tree, nothing a little scotts patch master won't fix. I'll likely hire them again in the future.

We are very happy with their work. The tree was large and they could not get their equipment into our backyard so they had to carry the pieces to the front yard. They were able to dispose of the tree completely with little damage to our lawn. They were well equipped for such a large job using chain saws, front loaders,chipper/grinders, and cranes. A less-equipped company could not have done the job. They were courteous and communicated well and often with us as the job progressed.

They did a fabulous job. They were very professional and their pricing was good. We've had other tree service providers, these are definitly the best. I really like them. They didn't leave a big mess in the yard.

It’s a big company, we have used them consistently, and their service is excellent. I thought that their price was fair.

Overall process was good. Company showed up bright and early to begin work and had everything complete in one day. My only complaint were the oil stains left by their equipment on my driveway.

They were very good. They were in and out in just a few days which was great considering the number of trees they had to remove. They used a crane to get to trees in our ravine. They were also reasonable in price. Many of our neighbors have gone on to use them as well.

Overall high praises. I don't know how comparable the costs against what someone else might have charged so when I chose "A" on price it was because I thought it was going to be closer to $5,000 to do the whole job, so coming in at $3100 for all of that made me very happy. Very friendly workers on the phone and in person. I would/will use them again for any future tree issues as I was completely satisfied with the work and price.

This is the second time we have used Charter Oaks for tree removal, and we continue to be very pleased by their service. They came less than 24 hours after first contact to leave an estimate, and we had a date for removal within another 24 hours. A couple of days later, they arrived to remove the tree. The crew was efficient and professional. The tree came down quickly and easily and they thoroughly cleaned up all of the branches and debris from my yard, the driveway and the street where their equipment was parked. We will definitely call Charter Oaks again when we need tree services.

They did a fantastic job. They did a great job. They came out, got it done quickly and the price was good. It was a fair price; compared to some other folks I got estimates from. I had some trees trimmed and then I had some trees removed. He came out and cut it all in one day. They did a great job. They did exactly what I asked them to do. They cleaned up very well after themselves and they were very professional. I would use their services again in the future. In terms of punctuality, they came out when they said they would.

We obtained quotes from several companies.Charter Oaks was quick to respond to our inquiries and were very polite. They gave us a quote very quickly. The quote was substantially lower than all the other quotes we obtained. We initially wanted 4 large pine trees removed and then decided to have some additional work done including pruning and fertilizing some other trees. The work was done exactly as we had wanted and as scheduled. We would use them again.
