+ -1 moreOverall construction of the home is average-good, however, the service received after the sale is subpar at best. Warranty inspections were over 3 months late. Had to follow up repeatedly with service rep to get work done. Overall a very frustrating experience.
Description of Work: Purchased a new home from Centex in the Wilshire Subdivision.

+ -1 moreDON (NEW FIELD MANAGER) HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL IN TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH THE OUTSTANDING WORK, REDOING WORK THAT WAS DONE INCORRECTLY, OR NOT AT ALL AS PROMISED. HE CAME IN 30+ DAYS AFTER CLOSING TO ANSWER THE INCOMPLETE 25+ ITEM LIST. BEFORE HIM, WE FOUGHT TOOTH & NAIL TO GET WORK DONE THEY WERE ALREADY PAID FOR, PROMISED TO COMPLETE 30 DAYS AFTER CLOSING, BUT DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH. MANY NEW PROBLEMS CONTINUALLY WERE DISCOVERED AS EACH DAY WENT ON. THE PRESIDENT, WAYNE ZILL, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER, DOES NOT CARE IF HE PROMISES WORK TO BE DONE & IT IS NOT. HE DOES NOT CARE THAT YOU HAVE TO TAKE VACATION DAYS AT WORK TO ACCOMMODATE HIS CREW (M-F 8-5:00 ONLY) TO COMPLETE TASKS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE OR BEEN DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. ONCE HE HAS HIS MONEY, HIS ALREADY GRUFF PERSONALITY BECOMES EVEN MORE UNPLEASANT. BUYER BEWARE; THEY TAKE ANY PLEASURE OUT OF HOME BUILDING & MAKE IT 100%PURELY STRESSFUL.
Description of Work: BUILT A FAIRHAVEN MODEL IN MEADOWS OF GOLF VILLAGE. CENTEX NEEDED CONSTANT WATCH WITH WINDOWS IN THE WRONG PLACE, MISSING WINDOWS, STANDING WATER IN THE BASEMENT WITH THE WATER HEATER & FURNACE INSTALLED(RUINED), BROKEN CONDUCTORS-YARD, SUMP PUMP NOT WORKING, NO FLASHING ON ROOF & INCORRECTLY SHINGLED, ETC. SLOPPY WORK! THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH ITEMS LEFT AT CLOSING. THEY ALMOST ALWAYS ARE LATE TO CLOSE, HAVE UNFINISHED ITEMS, & DO NOT COMPLETE THE ITEMS AS THEY PROMISE AFTER CLOSING. THEY REQUIRE YOU TO TAKE OFF WORK (6.5 DAYS) TO COMPLETE WORK THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE PRIOR TO CLOSING. THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOU FOR YOUR TIME; THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME. YOU HAVE TO HOUND THEM TO GET THE JOBS FINISHED & DONE RIGHT. THE SELL SUBPAR UPGRADES; HARDWOOD FLOORING THAT CRACKS, ETC. PRIOR TO CLOSE WE HIRED ($400) AN INSPECTOR; 6 PAGES OF PROBLEMS & SOME MAJOR. WORK STILL OUTSTANDING (60 DAYS POST-CLOSE). LOTS REDONE INCORRECTLY & NEED REDONE AGAIN.
