I called Care Heating & Cooling to schedule an annual furnace check (They had a Big Deal for $49). They were scheduling a month in advance in October, but it wasn't a big deal because it wasn't an emergency. They have repaired my air conditioner before and did a great job. The Tech (Matt Yates) came out exactly on time. He is great. He works efficiently and effectively. This is a good company that will tell you the truth and fix the problem instead of just telling you to replace something. He got the furnace working great and I will call next spring for a check on the AC. Highly recommend.

The serviceman was professional, no problems there. When he gave me an estimate to replace the motor though, I was shocked. He said it would take about an hour to install with parts and labor totaling close to $800, or a little less if I bought a service contract. When I called the company the next day, they would not give me a breakdown of how much was parts and how much was labor. Having worked in the automotive repair field for over 40 years, I have never heard of such a thing. I found I could obtain a new factory replacement motor for $165. I installed it myself in about an hour and I am no HVAC expert but it was quite easy. I'm not against any business making a fair profit but this seems very excessive to me.

Cracked heat exchanger discovered. Recommended a new furnace.

They were informative, friendly, & courteous. There tests show 85.7 reduction in duct leakage (cold air) 27.5 hot air ducts the rooms in our home are more evenly heated now.

Service provided by CARE was great as usual. I use CARE for all my HVAC needs. Consistent, friendly, fast and economical service.

I was thankful that Care Heating and Cooling called me promptly in the morning on Monday, since my furnace was not working and it was cold in here. Seth arrived in the early afternoon and did a thorough job of diagnosing my furnace issue and fixing it, as well as checking for other issues and making sure the furnace was running well. He explained to me what caused the problem, which was helpful. He wore floor protectors on his shoes, and did not mind going into the crawl space. Seth was friendly and efficient, and I would definitely call Care again if I were to have any further furnace or air conditioning problems. They gave great service at a very reasonable price.

The Angie's List deal for a $49 furnace inspection, tune up, and cleaning was very competitive. Working with this company was very easy. Scheduling my service appointment was quick and painless. Matt was my technician, and he was prompt, courteous, and did a nice job. I would definitely use this company again in the future.

It went great. The cost was covered under warranty.

They quickly diagnosed the issue regarding the air intake and exhaust and gave the the solution to fix it myself. $20 worth of PVC pipe later and it was working smoothly.

I called on Care H & C for a seasonal tune-up for our ten year old Trane furnace. The Care technician said we needed a new heat exchanger which would cost about $2,000 or replace the whole furnace. He said something about the heat exchanger being "clogged up" and our furnace is inoperable due to carbon monoxide issues. I called another company for a second opinion and they found no problems with our heat exchanger. Our two brand new carbon monoxide detectors aren't measuring anything. Beware of Care using fancy diagnostic print outs to say that you need a new heat exchanger. At least get a second or third opinion!! Care also had to change the time of the appointment and the Care technician was a little late arriving from the changed time. I don't trust Care Heating and Cooling.

Care Heating and Cooling is excellent. I had another company inspect and repair a furnace. That tech fixed a minor problem but claimed to find other serious problems and condemned the furnace, claiming it was unsafe to operate and must be replaced. That tech turned off the gas valve and drove away. I called Care for a second opinion. They arrived right on time and inspected the furnace. They used the first technician's notes to try to find these serious problems. They assured me those problems did not exist and the furnace was perfectly safe to use. They turned the furnace back on. More amazing, they have a policy that if they are providing a second opinion to verify a furnace heat exchanger leak, they will charge nothing for the inspection to confirm the issue. So my visit was free of charge. Let me repeat this. Care Heating and Cooling drove across town, inspected my furnace, and turned it back on free of charge. The tech made it a point to tell me about that policy and find it on the previous notes so he could avoid charging me. I recommend Care Heating and Cooling and will use them exclusively in the future.

I purchased the $49 special furnace tune-up. I was contacted within reasonable time to schedule the appointment and everything went smoothly. The technician came on time and explained a few things about my furnace. It went as expected. I would use this company again.

It went fine. One of their techs called of which necessitated me to change my plans. The board cost appox $600 and would have wanted other options. The furnace is 22 yrs old and would have liked options on a new one. With the warranty of only a year on the part...I might have considered getting another system. Now I just hope this piece lasts.

CARE Heating and Cooling, Inc. was more than accommodating. This company was called on October 1, 2015 to check out our furnace and air conditioning system. A representative came to us ON THE VERY SAME DAY!!. He explained very clearly the problems we were having and the solutions. We needed a whole new furnace and air conditioning system. The system we had was over 15 years old and worn out. So we were given a price for a brand new heating and which included military AND senior citizen discounts! We are paying through our home equity line of credit. The system was put in on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 and it only took 4 hours! To us that is quick!! The men were very professional and made my dog Cody feel at ease. The whole process beginning to end happened so quickly. I am amazed how Care Heating and Cooling, Inc. made putting in a whole heating and A/C system so simple. I will definitely use this company again and I highly recommend this company to others. Added note, because we have a new furnace and air conditioning unit put in, our home owners insurance has been lowered $30.00 which makes it really nice for us since we are both retired and on a fixed income.

Really amazing service... My A/C quit working on Monday, I called Care Tuesday morning and they had someone out that same afternoon (within the time window given). The tech even called to let me know he was on the way. While I was worried that I was going to have to replace the unit (14 years old now), the rep tested some various parts in the unit, and said it's only the capacitor. not only that, but he had one in the truck. Instead of having to go days on end with out A/C, and spending thousands of dollars for the fix (which I had expected), it was under $235 and fixed in about 10-15 minutes, and now my house is finally cool again. I wish all companies were like Care. A++++ Recommend highly.

This company had to come out twice to repair two different problems with my air conditioning. I appreciated their timeliness and their only fixing what needed to be fixed instead of upselling products and being mysterious about the work they performed.

Our A/C had stopped blowing cool air and we called CARE and they were able to get someone out very quickly. They diagnosed the problem and were able to fix it on the spot.

Ed, Evan, and James arrived promptly at 8 A.M., working through lunch, replacing one water heater and converting the furnace to natural gas. Since Bright Star gas had not unlocked the water, they left us with one functioning water heater. They returned the next morning and finished the install just as the gas company arrived to unlock and test the water. Everything was started and tested.

It went well. I'm not sure it was as thorough as the same service purchased at full price. I've had this service done by others in the past and it seemed more thorough than this one. Of course it cost twice as much. So I'm OK with what was done.
