Forest and his team are wonderful. They did two different home inspections for my wife and I. The first deal ended up falling threw so once we found another house Forest was our first and only call. He took his time to go threw everything with us. If we would ever decide to buy another house in the future they would be our only call once again.

The home inspection was very thorough and I really like how they publish the report online and email you the link so you access it anytime, anywhere. Everything was on-time, and we appreciated the Angie's List coupon of $65 off. Would definitely recommend!

Forest did an excellent job. We have used him for 2 home inspections and were very pleased with the process both times. The first time he identified problems with a house that we ultimately decided not to buy due to conditions he brought to our attention. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain things in terms easy to understand. He is very thorough and seems to enjoy his work. We would highly recommend him for any home inspection.

Although Forrest was very busy and about to leave for an out of town conference, he scheduled the home inspection with only a few days' notice, and was very accommodating in scheduling it for a time that was convenient to all parties involved. I arrived at the house at the time to find Forrest and his crew already there. We had to wait awhile for the owner to let us in, since the realtor's office had failed to inform him, but Forrest took it in stride and was quite cheerful about it. I stayed for about an hour while he showed me some of the more serious problems with the house, and then left. In all, the inspection took about 2 and a half hours. They even managed to find the tiny attic and enter it to inspect for any possible problems. Forrest offered many useful suggestions and gave advice as to how we might handle several problems that the team found. All in all, it was a very meticulous inspection, and provided us with a lot of useful information for our negotiations with the owner.

We hired By-Lions for a home inspection of a house we are in the process of purchasing. We chose them based on Angie's List reviews (and the coupon didn't hurt). The company was very responsive - I left a message and the owner personally called me back to make sure his staff had been able to assist me with everything I needed. The owner did the inspection. He arrived promptly. His inspection was thorough. He pointed out many things along the way, and answered all of my questions during the inspection. His report was good and prompt (the next evening) though did leave out a few things he had verbally identified during the inspection (it is good to take your own notes at these things). The inspector was clearly very experienced and I had confidence he knew what he was doing. The other nice thing about this company is that they contract with radon and pest inspectors to have all three occur at once, and saved me the phone calls of arranging them all separately. Not all companies do this! The pest inspector they worked with was fantastic, came during the home inspection, and pulled me aside to show me things to look out for in the future, as well as everything he was finding at the time. The home inspector set up the radon machine and arranged the report to be sent to me. Overall a great experience, though wish the report hadn't left a few things out. Would use them again and take better notes next time!

The inspector was courteous, thorough, knowledgeable and professional. He was up on the roof, in the attic, down in the basement and walked the exterior of the home.

A detailed inspection was completed and they addressed all of my concerns and addressed concerns that would a problem in the future. I was impressed with the quality of the service. There were three guys there to do the inspecition and Forest was there to. They were all very professional and friendly. The best money spent on my house. This was a duplex and it had some concerning issues and I was concerned about my investment. They were great and addressed everything within the house and the outside, including the roof. GREAT! GREAT@ service would highly recommend.

Forrest was punctual, informative, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to work with. I will use him again in the future and have already recommended him to friends. Very thorough and extremely good work! We were satisfied.

We used By-Lions twice and both times they were very responsive, accommodating, prompt, affordable, knowledgeable and very thorough with all inspections. They answered all our questions and provided detailed reports for home, pest and radon inspections. I would highly recommend them, and be sure to use the Angie's list coupon.

I would highly recommend Forrest as a home inspector. We will be using him in the future should we be be in need of his services. He answered all of my questions and conducted a meticulous assessment. He was able to give an overall assessment of the home's conditions and in addition catch many small problems that would have totaled higher dollars. He was on time and delivered all of the reports in a timely manner. He was clearly passionate about his work and understood that this is a stressful time for home buyers.

Everything went fine but the Inspector missed the following Items to be checked. These items were not in a working condition and if it were identified, I would have got them repaired at seller's cost. (1) Ice Maker in the Refrigerator (2) Calling Bell (3) Front Lamp Post

Forest was on time and performed a thorough inspection. He answered all my questions and explained everything so I understood what he was talking about. I used the coupon available here on Angie's List. Even with the coupon he was a little more expensive than some other home inspectors but I chose By-Lions because of the reviews.

I called Forrest for a home inspection and was able to be scheduled within a few days. He followed up the day before the inspection to confirm our appointment. I met him at the condo and was very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and ability to clearly explain what he was doing. He is very thorough and is extremely attentive to every detail in his inspection. He was very friendly and spent time to answer all of my questions. He gave me a written summary of his findings before we left so that my Realtor and I could address them with the seller as soon as possible. Then, as promised, he had his formal summary on line within 24 hours. This is a very busy time of the year for buying and selling houses, but he made me feel like I was his only client. I highly recommend him.

Forrest arrived early and was already inspecting the outside of the house when we arrived. He took his time going through each area of the house and pointed out anything he felt we needed to know about. He was very friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and professional. The report was detailed, including pictures, and was very helpful. We were able to use the coupon provided on Angie's List website, which made his pricing very competitive. I would recommend him to anyone in need of the services he provides.

Forrest at By-Lions was amazing. He arrived BEFORE us and by the time we got there he had inspected the outside/perimeter of the home. He spent 3 hours going through the property. He explained everything that would need to be fixed, any concerns he had, and included recommendations for repairs. The report was available online within 24 hours. It was our pleasure to work with him and we would recommend him to ANYONE getting a home inspection!!!

Forrest was great to work with. He handled scheduling the service, and arrived a few minutes early to begin the inspection. When I got to the house, he was out back inspecting the deck. He was very thorough during the whole process, and explained what he was looking at. Any time there was a potential issue, he pointed it out to us, let us know how critical it was, and how easy/expensive it would be to remedy. I had tons of questions and Forrest was very patient and answered them all in a way I could understand. During the inspection, we decided we wanted to have a termite inspection done as well. Forrest does not do termite inspections, but he called a provider that does on the spot and had it set up right then and there. We were so concerned about getting a trustworthy inspector, as this is our first home purchase, but we were so thrilled with the work Forrest did and feel completely comfortable with the entire experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest inspector with experience, knowledge, and great customer service.

I got a home, termite, septic, and well inspection for a very old 1800s farmhouse. We absolutely loved the house and land but ended up releasing ourselves from the contract after the inspection. I contacted Forrest 3 days before our inspection deadline. He was first to return my phone call and my first choice off of Angie's list. He had two other professionals that came with him to the inspection. They were all very thorough and made sure we understood the amount of work we would have to put into the house. His inspection report was very knowledgable with lots of pictures. We are first-time homebuyers so we are very new to all this. Forrest Lines did a great job inspecting the 1100 sq. ft. home we are purchasing. We received a discount on services because of a coupon on Angie's List. I called Forrest on a Wednesday and left a message. He called back within a couple of hours and managed to schedule me for a home inspection that Saturday (short notice and right before the holidays). He showed up on time and spent about 3 hours at the house (inside and out) and walked me through all major issues he found. He provided a printed report with pictures that was very detailed and thorough. I would definitly use him again.

Called Forest and he was very helpful in answering my questions. I had a short time table as I was only given 5 days to do inspections. He squeezed me in within two days but had to cancel do to a report the owner only disclosed after they accepted my offer that stated the house was structurally unsound. I called back and cancelled my inspection and Forest was very understanding. I will probably use him when I finally find a house that isn't about to collapse.

Forrest was very professional from start to finish. Walked me through the whole process and made sure that understood everything that they were pointing out to me. Everything was done exactly the way that was described to me on the phone. They did the inspection last night (11/28) and I received the inspection paperwork early this morning (11/29).

Mr. Lines was responsive and polite, beginning with my initial phone contact. I called a couple other vendors about performing this inspection, and came back to Mr. Lines because he was able to perform all the services I needed, and because of his responsiveness and competitive pricing. On the day of the inspection, Mr. Lines and his assistant met me at the home to be inspected, and we discovered the homeowner still at home (which was unexpected). Mr. Lines impressed me again by handling this little bump very professionally (the homeowner later admitted that he'd goofed when copying down the appointment). We got to work inspecting the property after a short delay, and Mr. Lines and his assistant were both very patient and thorough in their explanations as we moved around the house. Although I certainly could have just waited to see everything in their report, for me, there's no substitute for seeing things "live" and up close. We finished the inspection very close to the timeline Mr. Lines had shared with me prior to the inspection. The report from the inspection arrived in my email the next day as a PDF. It is attractive, well-laid out, and detailed. It's certainly a document I'll keep for reference in the future. I received the radon test results separately, after the required 48-hour testing period had passed. Both documents indicated some items I'll need to resolve with the seller, including items I'd have missed if I were to attempt a walk-through myself, so I consider the inspection to be money well-spent.

Forrest arrived early in order to talk with the seller's about the house. He began his inspection outside and then worked his way in. He showed us how things worked, and gave us good tips for maintanance and upkeep. He answered all of our questions and shared a lot of valuable information about our new home.

Forrest is the BEST. I am so happy that I found him. I spoke with a few inspectors and the following points sold me:1. His credentials are impeccable - he teaches home inspection, president of Ohio chapter of National Association of Home Inspectors, Board of Trustees member for NAHI, etc. These things tell me he is not just doing this in his spare time; he is a very dedicated inspector. 2. When I called him to ask if he could do a Saturday inspection, he said "I am in a customer service business. I do the inspections when they are convenient for you." Really, when have you heard that before? The other inspectors I called were all about the M-F, 9-5, which is great for those of us that are buying a house and do not have a job. Post-inspection, I am even happier with him. He took his time going top to bottom on the house. He did not just provide a report after the fact; he would point out items as we went through the house, explain what the problem is, talk about possible remediation of the problem, and answer ALL questions that we had. Trust me, we had lots of questions and he took the time to answer each one AND took the time to make sure we understood his answer. Even though our home inspection occurred during a very busy time for By-Lions, Forrest had the report to us the next evening in electronic format with digital pictures included. For the sake of brevity, I won't go into detail of each thing that makes By-Lions your best inspector option. Just know that you will be very happy with your service.
