Description of Work: Used a groupon for two hours of work to have a ceiling fan installed. They exceeded estimated time by an hour and left a big hole in the ceiling around the installation. They had to take up floor boards in the attic to place the box on the joists and did not replace the flooring or put the items moved back into place. I was disappointed with the experience although the light/fan was installed property.

Description of Work: We did not use this company for any repairs. They promptly called to set up an appointment, however, we procrastinated in getting back with them due to busy schedules and our "deal" expired. Could not remember the date contact was made, but it was sometime last year. Kicking ourselves for letting the deal expire.

Description of Work: Added exterior outlet, opposite a grounded interior outlet. Done in 20 minutes.

Description of Work: We purchased Angie's list "Big Deal" $99 for 2 hours of electrical service. The employees showed up on time and were courteous however despite the coupon stating that "All other materials needed for work would be provided by Bradley at competitive pricing" they were certainly not! As an architect I know what wire, and junction boxes cost. The majority of the expense for electrical work is labor. (Hence my excitement at getting 2 hours for $99!) The materials for the box in the ceiling per Bradley would be $200.00. This is probably $20 in materials once you add it all up for instance (http://www.lowes.com/pd_73273-53911-54151CFBBHL-10L_0__?productId=3318594&Ntt=fan+junction+box&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dfan%2Bjunction%2Bbox&facetInfo=) A certain big box would be happy to sell you the fan box (The most expensive part) for $8.21. Now I have no problem with a fair markup but this is not what I consider competitive pricing and to be honest I would estimate $200 is high but within the upper limits if I had not already paid Angie's List $100 for the labor. We asked Bradley to leave and promptly called Angie's List to get our money back. I feel bad for all other Angie's List members whom probably bought the big deal and were wrongfully cheated by Bradley. We do not and will not recommend Bradley at this time. UPDATE: We spoke with the owner of Bradley "Frank" over the phone Frank was courteous as well and reiterated that he felt Bradley offered fair market value pricing for materials. When we referenced typical distributor pricing for the materials he stated thats what the pricing was and told us to get our money back from Angie's List. He then said he didn't care what we wrote about them on the List.

They came promptly and discovered various electrical problems that would need attention and who should be called for the repair.(garage door opener, alarm system, cable, computer, etc.). This was not a service call but an inspection. The technician was friendly but thorough. .

Description of Work: Bradford Electric was supposed to install an outdoor electric box. They did not respond to phone calls or email. When they finally did they did not show up for the appointment or contact us as to why they did not show. Moreover, they have not returned phone calls or emails since.

Description of Work: I purchased 4 hours of service they came on December 12, 2011 to perform work they was to move outlet and wiring for new window installation. I thought they did the work required on December 17th while I had a 6 foot by 6 foot hole in living room the installers told me that they could not do the work. I had to call Jess Howard electric for emergency work. It ended up costing me an additional $278.06 to get the work done so that my window could be installed. I have emailed Bradley Electric asking for reimbursement. I am alse putting you on notice as well for assistance. I feel that the job should have been done the right the first time and it was not costing me greatly.

Description of Work: Prompt and did a great job. I felt very satisfied with the repair of my ceiling fan/light. They also installed an additional outlet in my basement and I feel safer knowing it won't be overloaded and a fire danger.

Description of Work: Two technicians (an older man and a young assistant who he told what to do) came out to replace a broken back porch light switch which was done professionally. I didn't get an estimate first as I was having company the following day and needed the switch replaced immediately for safety purposes. They were here approximately 15-20 minutes. I was greatly surprised when the bill came to $159 as I thought it was quite high for the time expended -- even possibly including transportation costs. Still in "sticker shock" I even neglected to ask if they gave a senior discount, but I had printed out a coupon for $20 discount from their listing on the Angie's List website so my cost was $139.00. Later that day I remembered I had received an e-mail offer from Angie's List Big Deal for $99 for 2 hours of service from Bradley Electric. I called Bradley Electric and spoke to Rob to see if they could credit my Visa for the amount of $139 I had paid and allow me to purchase the $99/2hrs. Big Deal instead. Rob said he would have to talk to "Frank" (never got his last name). When he called me back the next day I was told that it couldn't be done. I subsequently wrote an e-mail to "Frank" c/o Bradley Electric noting my disappointment in his decision. It seemed to me that what I requested would be a simple bookkeeping matter on their part. I never did get a response. I realize that my big mistake was not getting an estimate first which I normally would have done but, in this case, I needed the job done that day and thought the cost might be around $100 or less. It seems to me that a firm listed in Angie's List might have been more accommodating to one of your members.

Description of Work: I originally bought a coupon on Angie's List to have a ceiling fan installed. When the guys from Bradley Electric showed up, they discovered that not only was the wiring to the existing light fixture original (60+ years old) but that the light fixture was not connected to a receptacle. So installing a ceiling fan would not be possible without investing much more money than I wanted to do. We discussed the problem and options. I asked them to reconnect the old light fixture and they reinstalled so that it was more secure than before. They also fixed another electrical problem, so their service call was not wasted. I paid $119. for the service done on that day. They gave me the option of using my coupon for another electrical job I needed done (installing 4 new light fixtures in my basement) vs. having to get a refund from Angie's List for the coupon. The guys from Bradley returned today to install those basement light fixtures. They removed 4 old fixtures and installed 4 new ones that I had purchased at Lowe's. They worked quickly and pointed out that I had purchased the wrong fluorescent bulbs for the fixtures, the ones I bought worked but as they pointed out on the light fixture boxes, the bulbs were not the recommended size. Knowing in advance that because the bulbs were the wrong size, that they would likely burn out after several months was helpful. This job was done without additional charges. The cost was covered by the coupon I bought through Angie's List for a ceiling fan install, at least a couple of months ago. They did a great job and my basement now has more light than it has had in many years! I highly recommend Bradley Electric.

Description of Work: After a transformer blew in our neighborhood, Bradley came out and replaced a fuze thingy in the electric box. Then they put a whole house surge protector on. Great job. Very fast reply.

Description of Work: I did not have electricity in my masters and upstairs bathroom. I also needed a ceiling fan installed. Frank was honest and he did not try to upsell me, but provided the help I was looking for. The job is complete and lights and electricity work!

They replaced two light fixtures, and gave me an estimate on new electrical service. They called me with the estimate the same day. I was pleased with their services.
