Installation took 4 hours, was done neatly. System works fine; minor leak discovered during first week of operation, which they came out immediately when notified and fixed at no charge.

They are very dependable and accommodating to my schedule and their work is superior. They are all very knowledgeable. I have used him for a long time and I'm very pleased with their work.

The leaks occurred several months apart. Each time the AK person came out on time and fixed the issue. When reporting the problem, the person at AK would ask if it was the PVC portion of the pipe or the copper portion. This ensured that the right person came out to fix the leak. No leaks since the second fix.

I was able to set up a repair appointment pretty quickly. On the day of the appointment, I received a call when they were on their way and minimized my time out of the office. The leak was tricky to find, and technician Tyler methodically searched and identified. He also made a few additional suggestions to prevent future issues, which I agreed to. All repairs were made promptly. Tyler also had our system's repair history available which was very helpful in making decisions about the additional work. I had a question about the billing and received a call with detailed information from Aaron. Overall great service and I would highly recommend.

In late Sept 2014 I contacted AK Irrigation, and many others, to give me a price for installing an irrigation system in my front yard only. A couple of weeks later I had an estimate from AKI and with a couple of revisions, I accepted it. Communication with AKI wasn’t (and still isn’t) great, but we got everything figured out. The AKI crew that did the install did a good job restoring my landscaping and grass to the state that it was in before the install. Because of the size of my yard and my existing landscaping they did everything by hand. I was very impressed with this portion of the work. My sprinkler clock and the BFP is in the basement. I was less than impressed with the work they did inside. They left a big mess on the floor from drilling their holes through the concrete. I ended up cleaning it up because I failed to bring it to their attention. They only used silicone caulk to close the gaps in the concrete wall where the cable and the piping came inside. Unfortunately silicone won’t stick to dusty concrete. I would have liked for it to be grouted. I’ve also had a small leak that took far too much communication, scheduling, and repairs, to try to get repaired. It was actually repaired it again on 6/30. I received training on how to use the sprinkler clock and that was very thorough and I have a good understanding of how it works. They threw in a free rain sensor, but it has never worked really well. I’ve moved it around here and there and it always reports little to no rain regardless of how much we got. I didn’t ask for it and it was free so I’m not complaining. I have contemplated switching to a different sprinkler clock that can get rainfall from the Internet via Wi-Fi. After using the system now through one full season (2015) and a couple partial seasons (2014 and 2016), I have to say that I’m a little less than impressed with their placement of sprinkler heads. I have one corner of my landscaping that does not get watered (but fortunately it doesn’t seem to need thorough watering, for whatever reason). Initially the curb lawn did a good job of watering the sidewalk and street, but they came out and made some adjustments. I still feel the sprinkler heads are a little too far apart and that makes watering a long narrow strip very challenging. I’ve made it work and I can live with it. In 2015 I discovered a small leak at one of the zone valves (which was the source of water in my basement) and I called AKI to come out and repair it. What I also found was that they shoehorned three valves into two approx. 8” diameter valve boxes with the sides cut out. There was absolutely no room to work. They also spliced their wiring with standard dry-rated wirenuts filled with silicone caulk. I know that I will be servicing this in the future, so I ended up replacing it with a generously sized 12” x 17” valve box and I used the proper waterproof wire nuts. When the technician came out he asked if they installed that. I told them yes and explained why I made the change. He told me that he doesn’t understand why they do it but they do it all over and he hates it. Hmm. These kinds of details are important to me. If I were to do this all over again, I wouldn’t hesitate to hire AKI, but I would be more involved in the layout, if I didn’t just lay it out myself, and I would specify things like oversized valve boxes, proper electrical connections, etc. I am generally hard to please, but I think they’re a pretty good company that wants to take good care of their customers. They offer a five year warranty which I very much appreciate. At a minimum, I’ll certainly use them for fall shutdown. The fall shutdowns in 2014 and 2015 were fine. They did the spring start up in 2015 and I did it in 2016. No complaints there.

Great service, good quality work, but paper work (with Columbus Water agency on backflow meter inspection) is poor, I had to call 3 times to clarify the process on missing documentation.

Our old irrigation company nearly tripled their service rates this year, so we switched to AK irrigation for startup, black flow testing and winterization. Our tech Tyler was awesome. He has friendly, helpful, honest and punctual. Moreover, the rates are very competitive. We will be sticking with AK irrigation!

We moved into our house last Spring and needed to set up irrigation services for the year. After reading a number of reviews on Angie'List. I decided to give AK Irrigation a try - they provide full service support at what I felt were reasonable prices. On start-up, the technician walked the property to evaluate spray patterns and to look for leaks - he found a leak in one hose near one of the sprinkler heads and showed it to me. He quickly resolved the issue by replacing a small section of the hose. He also walked me through the operation of the controller. In the Fall, AK came out to blow-out the irrigation system. The technician explained the process to me and was very efficient in completing the task. He also did a final walk-through of the property to make sure nothing was out of place with the system. The team at AK did a great job of contacting me to set up appointments, so that there was almost no work on my part. In all, the team is very courteous and very professional.

There seemed to be an issue with their calendaring, because they missed the original appointment. But as soon as I called they had someone out to our house in the next two hours. He was professional and didn't take very long.

This is my 1st irrigation system. AK came highly recommended from others in my neighborhood. They are modern, professional and efficient!! Email communication was excellent. Paying and scheduling were simple. They automatically plan for my startup and winterization. Amazing service!

Our homeowners association contracted with this company to turn on/off irrigation systems. We had just purchased our home and still living out of state when we got the call that our backfield valve was "bad" and had to be replaced for $350. Our home was built in 2005 so it was strange to us the entire valve was bad (couldn't even be repaired) so we asked the technician to leave the bad valve in our garage so that we could have it checked. When we moved in the only thing there was a bill for more than $400 because they were also charging us for the turn on which our association pays for. No "bad" valve was left. After several phone conversations the charge for the turn on was removed but mysteriously the technician has no recollection of the request to leave the "bad" unit and of course we were told it was destroyed. When we challenged them on the necessity of the new valve and charges they sent a threatening email they would be at our house to remove the their new valve, report us to the City of Dublin who would shut off our water because we did not have a proper back flow installed. The kicker was when they miraculously found our bad valve after three months but when I went to their facility it was not there. In our opinion we were taken advantage of because we were not present at the time of service. We have been told by other irrigation companies most back flow valves don't go bad in 10 years and if they do the ball can be replaced and fixed for much less than $300+ dollars.

Excellent experience from the initial walk through thru installation and start up. Aaron was very good at explaining what equipment they use and why. We had just built our new house and needed them to be flexible so that we could get the system installed between the final grade of the yard and the installation of the sod. There was only going to be one day that was going to be available to complete the install and I was not able to tell them when that would be until 2 days before I needed them here. They made it. The installation crew was excellent and made sure they understood the future plans for the patio and landscaping before they started. After the sod was completed, Aaron cam back out the same day to make sure all the heads were working properly and coming up through the sod. Excellent customer focused company.

Went good. I declined part of the service but needed to have tech back which they did without additional charge on same day of service. Tech was very good about explaining how things worked with system.

This year they came on time in May 5,2015 to turn-on my system, after they cancel the first appointment the same day (no problem, everybody has emergencies). The guy who came told me I need to replace 10 rotors and fix a line. This last line it is the same one that they fixed last year. Anyway he told me he would speak with his people at the office to absorb the cost for this one and that they would call me back to schedule the appointment to repair these issues. I had to call them on May 30 to see why they did not call me yet. Now they say they are not available to fix it until June 9. In the mean time my yard starts to suffer the consequences. I am very disappointed because I trusted them. I do see lack of professionalism here. I paid in advance in January for two services this year. Now I do not have option, I need to wait for them.

Arrived on time, carried out the winterization with no problems. We have used AK Irrigation for several years after purchasing a Big Deal. We had a small problem the first year but the management made it right immediately. We continue to be satisfied with this company's service.
