Darren was fantastic. I originally requested that he replace some damaged drywall but he suggested repairing the existing drywall. Not only did this save us money, but his repairs were so good that the walls look brand new!

Darren Adams, with a busy schedule, came within a couple of days of my call. Spent time discussing what should be done and ultimately translated this into a formal estimate sent to me. Kept in touch until he was able to perform work. On the specified day, he arrived with all necessary tools and equipment. I had bought the storm door, and he picked it up for me. Also ordered and had delivered the necessary lumber. The project took five days. Darren kept me informed on the progress each day and was receptive to input and observation. He worked a full day each day from early morning to late afternoon, taking little time for lunch. The deck and storm door are well built and installed, respectively. Painting will occur in the spring. Darren offered to provide an estimate for this if I am not wanting to do it myself. I am very happy with the final product and the detail and attention paid to getting the project done right. I was particularly concerned about the bottom of the deck being left unsecured so as unwanted guests could explore for a new home. He was very accommodating, and took care not to let this happen. The lattice at the bottom of the deck remains as it was before the job was started. He was also as careful as possible with regard to not damaging surrounding shrubs, grass, etc. Everything was gathered up and put away in my garage at the end of each day's work. All discarded materials were picked up and disposed of by him each day. I believe if any issues were to pop up after the winter that he would definitely revisit and correct. I will consider him for future jobs that require a skilled carpenter and painter.

Once Darrin got in there, discovered more damage than first thought. This led to a much bigger project than either of us expected and more cost. However, Darrin managed this situation very well, dedicating his time, skills, and effort. The final product is awesome. Darrin does great work and we would highly recommend him.

Excellent. Darren and his crew worked 8 to 10 hour days to move the work in a timely manner and completed needed extra services requested by the owner and stayed within the two week timeline. The extra work included gutter guard placements, power washing driveway, sidewalk, and front porch so owner could apply sealer. Each day after closing down crew cleaned up area and stored equipment and materials in extra garage to remove any possible hazards. I really liked the way he discussed every item he begin to get my verification we were on the same page with his means and methods of doing the work.

We had Adams Custom Painting and Construction paint our whole house in 2009. We were very pleased with the work back then, so we contacted them again. Our whole house, including stucco, wood siding, and trim needed to be painted. We also needed some rotting boards around the windows replaced. Our trellis needed to be re-stained and some repair work done on it as well. Darren and crew did not disappoint. They were here on time. Did quality repair work, and painted the whole house and re-stained our trellis. Darren's attention to detail and quality work is top-notch. We will definitely call Adams Custom Paint and Construction again in the future.

We had Adams Custom Painting Painting & Construction come out to our home to refurbish and paint our porch, paint the shutters and front door, and refurbish and stain the deck. From the initial meeting to the last day on the job, Darren was an absolute professional in all aspects of the job. He and his team were always on-site early, working through the day until early evening. They were friendly, skilled, on-task and did a thorough clean-up . Darren was eager to explain the process, next steps, and to offer superior alternatives (that fit within the quote). He listens to the customer and goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. Darren's attention to detail and fine craftsmanship really stand out when the project is complete Not only do our porch and deck look fantastic, they are structurally more sound. . We are very happy with everything Darren did for us and would hire him again!

Great Experience! Darren will be back for future projects! Bottom line is that at the end of the project there was only a token (4" long) and partially hidden piece of trim that was not painted. That was it. The whole outside of the house (paint trim, paint stucco, paint eves and downspouts, repair lots of bad wood, fix the hole the bees were using, and fix the hole the birds were using) was done well. The worst problem was this token piece of hidden trim. It was taken care of immediately. The project started in the fall. Darren wisely recommended prioritizing the wood repair over other tasks. When the weather started to turn he could have pushed forward risking quality but recommended that we delay the project (and therefore his revenue) until the spring. He could have recommended continuing and we would have agreed. At each stage, Darren kept us informed of his progress and issues. He warned us of variables that could affect the timeline and budget. Our trust in Darren grew with each step so that even before the project was completed we had decided to get his input/estimate for another project. When looking at companies, I look at a few of the best and a few of the worst reviews. I looked at the single negative review for Darren. My experience aligns perfectly with Darren's account of the situation. It appears that the "unhappy" customer is an outlier and was the source of his own unhappiness. It's too bad there isn't a website for companies to see the reviews of customers! Darren was recommended to us by a neighbor and we have already recommended him to 3 of our friends. Adam was punctual, and courteous every day on the job. He was very neat in all his painting. He did not damage any shrubbery, plants, or grasses during his painting. He gave recommendations on the color selected for the paint before starting the job. he was very reasonable in his price. He also dis extra work, ie. installing new shutters and mailbox that we selected. He charged us a reasonable price without leaving the job until it was complete. My wife and I highly recommend Adam to someone who needs excellent work done on exterior painting and construction done at a reasonable price.

Darren pointed out other issues which needed repaired. His work is high quality. Kept us informed of problems and ordering issues.

Darren did a great job making our fence look like a million dollars. He discussed staining and painting options in detail and we chose to stain. First he power washed the fence and then came back on two separate occasions to stain. We have used him before for interior painting, he did an awesome job, and he will be back this winter to paint several rooms. All my neighbors are asking for his contact information.

Walls and ceilings of 8 rooms, a hallway and foyer painted. Darren also did plastering where needed and helped us with color choices and ideas. Wonderful. I have used Darren Adams for over 10 years, in all types of work. He has painted my entire house, as well as my house before this one. Interior, and exterior. He is very capable of doing repairs of just about any type, from wall repair, trim, and even has resources to help with exterior repairs! (He repaired a leaking chimney and then repainted it so you couldn’t even tell there was ever damage!) Darren is a professional and very particular about the quality of his work. I have had him do custom painting for my children and husbands garage/man cave (stripes, clouds etc) and use him to get referrals on color choices. You can get cheaper, but you get what you paid for...if you want a professional and it shows, I will always pick Darren.

Darren did an excellent job for us and was very attentive via text message and phone, as we were out of town for the holidays when the weather finally cooperated enough for the repairs to begin. The job was more involved than first thought and he was very conscious of keeping us informed throughout the whole process. He went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable with the extra charges since we weren't at home to see the additional damage that was uncovered.
