A 1 Appliance Repair

A prompt appointment was made and the tech arrived on time. Took great care with troubleshooting and solved the problem on the first visit. Very pleased.

A-1 did an excellent job. They came out the same day I called, which was important to me as I wanted my fridge fixed ASAP. The repairman, aptly named "Easy", was quick, professional, and extremely nice. He diagnosed the problem quickly, gave me an estimate, and offered to go get the necessary part immediately. The fridge was up and working shortly afterwards.

My refrigerator's problem was beyond their ability to fix. The repairman recommended 2 other companies to try before giving the frig up as a loss,and did not charge me for the service call.

Arrived when expected. Had to pickup the required parts and was repaired later the same day.

Thought I was going to have to replace our refrigerator. Was under $100 and fridge is working like new.

He did a great job! Knew right away what to look for and the charge was reasonable.

Looked at dishwasher and determined it has a hole in the tub from rust; could patch for a temporary fix but eventually the hole would get bigger. Biggest issue about installing a new dishwasher is that our new floor is higher than the diswasher base. He offered several suggestions and gave me a referral name. I appreciate his honesty and professsionalism and will call him again for other appliance issues.

Our refrigerator/freezer started to go out on a Friday afternoon. They were able to come the next day (the only company with Saturday hours) and fix our issue. Easy was extremely knowledgeable about our system and was able to pinpoint the issue quickly, get the part, and fix our refrigerator/freezer. He also was able to point us in the right direction on another minor appliance fix. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to all of my friends. Thank you for saving our bacon - literally!

The repairman communicated well prior to and during the service call. He quickly identified the problem and worked the solution we agreed upon. We discussed other things he could do and I plan to hire him to fix a timing issue with my dryer. Great hire!

The technician did all the necessary troubleshooting to determine the ice maker needed replaced. He gave same day service to purchase the replacement ice maker and install it. Didn't charge me extra for taking the extra time go and purchase the ice maker and did a great clean up job when the work was completed.

We ended up needing to buy a new dryer, but our old one had functioned far longer than had been designed. The parts needed to fix it were no longer available. A-1 appliance recommended someone who would clean out the lint (always a problem given our vents) on an annual basis. He also charged for a service call, but promised to waive the charge if we decided to keep the old dryer and replace the worn belts. We didn't.

The guy who came out was very responsive ad professional. He said that it was most likely the motherboard problem, and that to replace would cost anywhere form $300 to $600. He also pointed out that some new ranges cost that much and that it might not be worth fixing this. Very honest!!! He was able to reset the computer by disconnecting the rage from the outlet, and the oven started to work again. He said that he doesn't know how long "the fix" might last, but he charged only the fee that they charge to come to the house and see what the problem is. It's been two months and the oven is still working. I'm very happy about it.

I had an emergency situation when my refrigerator broke down 2 days before I was leaving the state for an extended trip. I called A-1 Appliance Repair on a Monday morning and they worked me into their schedule later that day, between other appointments. They got the refrigerator working again in one day and their price was reasonable considering the price and the quick service.

Spoke to the gentleman on the phone intending to set up a service call. He informed this is something I could do myself if I chose to and explained exactly how to do it I appreciate his honesty and Help he gave me. He could have just come out and charged me the call. Burners are all working fine using his direction ..good guy I’d hire him anytime

Great. Service person was very responsive, fit me into his schedule as quickly as possible. Made a great effort near the end of the day to get the part that I needed before the parts store closed. Only one thing went wrong. Needed to get him back out to connect the dryer light wire. Otherwise was great. I will definitely hire again.

He was great! He took apart the dishwasher and found the problem, and he was able to fix it on the spot. It took about 45 minutes. He was on time, very friendly and helpful, and let us know the dishwasher could last another 5-7 years. We paid for his service call and some additional labor, and he gave us lots of tips about how to maintain the dishwasher in good working order.

I called to make an appointment for a broken fridge and the technician told me over the phone a probable diagnosis. He suggested I try a few things first before he came out; I did that and was able to fix. I appreciate the honest advice that saved me money and saved him a trip. Thank you!

The upper shelves of the freezer weren't working. The fridge is 16 years old, so I didn't know if it was worth repairing. I phoned on Friday, and they sent a repairman the following morning. After he examined the refrigerator, he told me how much the repair would cost and also how much it would cost to replace the refrigerator with a similar one. He had to run out to purchase a part, so the whole repair took about 90 minutes. He was very prompt, polite, professional. I'd definitely use this service again.

Very prompt and professional. I described the problem over the phone and it was immediately diagnosed and estimate provided. He came out the same day, confirmed the issue, and all was fixed within 30-45 minutes. Highly recommended and will use again.

Great company I would work with again. I had had plumbers in to do several small jobs, one of which was to replace the washing machine feed hoses. After they left we noticed the washer would not complete a cycle. It was giving an error code indicating it wasn't getting water. They came back to trouble shoot it and suggested it was a problem with the washer and not the work they did. I picked A 1 from Angie's list because of proximity and high ratings. They said they could add me on the same day late in the afternoon. The repairman arrived within 15 minutes of the estimated time and set straight to work. The repairman was quick, didn't prejudge the situation and explained the process he would follow to trouble shoot the washer. He then explained and demonstrated the problem he found. Unfortunately, the problem was something he doesn't work on. The plumbers had damaged the hot water feed faucet when they turned it on or off. I really appreciated A 1 figuring out the problem quickly even if it was outside the work they do. While he was there I asked if he had time to look at a bad burner on the range. He did and determined what was needed to replace it. He suggested balancing the cost of the repair with purchasing a new range which means he put my welfare above him selling me a repair. Based on my experience with A 1, I would definitely use them again for a major appliance repair or any other work in his repertoire.

I left a message and received a call back within 30 minutes. I was asking if he would repair my Bosch oven. After explaining that he probably didn't have the expertise for this particular repair, he referred me to another repair person who specializes in high end appliances. So nice to get such a prompt, polite and honest reply.

When I explained my problem the person who answered the phone explained our new fridge has a warranty and while he would be more than happy to come and look at it, it is probably covered by warranty. Also, he did ask me what was going on and he explained to me there is most likely nothing wrong with the fridge but since it’s in the garage and if the temp is below 40 F then that’s most likely the issue. Thank you!! Will call them again when I need to.

Easy returned, checked his previous repair, it happened to be working while he was there. He told me it was probably a particular relay. He pointed it out to me and told me the part number and where to get it when it started acting up again. There was no charge for the call. Excellent service, nice guy!
