A 1 Appliance Repair

Gentleman was prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. Excellent service

He arrived on time. And fixed it quickly.

It took some time since parts weren't readily available (had to order two circuit boards. Once installed, refrigerator started working. A-1 Appliance Repair arrived within the times given, called prior to arriving, diagnosed the problem, both he and I obtained the required circuit boards, installed boards, and checked out the unit. Cleaned up, paid bill, and off he went. Would use and recommend again.

Requested email quote and they never responded or called.

First, Easy diagnosed the problem and fortunately, he had the part with him. He took care of it quickly . I asked him a few questions and he was able to answer. I so appreciate A1's quick response and service!

Repair costs were more than unit was worth. Replaced unit.

The Vendor did not respond to a request for a quote.

Called about a fridge repair, the gentleman who answered asked a few questions over the phone, determined that the problem was likely due to an issue with the closed compressor system that would require service by the manufacturer, and pointed out that the fridge was new enough that I should still be covered by my manufacturer warranty. I now have an appointment for Samsung to come out and A1 didn't make me wait on a service call or charge me anything for this assistance--much respect to them for not taking the easy service fee money and will definitely call them for my next out of warranty repair.

He tested electrical input first, and said the problem was not enough input. Said I needed an electrician. Didnt check anythg else. Charged routine amount of his standard house call. Did say he wouldn't charge me another house call if he needed to come back. Electrician came the same day; there was no electrical problem. Called a different repair man, who came the next day, and found the actual problem (a melted wire inside the dryer); he had a spare, and the whole thing was fixed in an hour & 1/2. I didnt have time to mess around with the 1st guy, nor did i want him back; obviously he didnt try too hard. Decided I would rather pay again, than waste more time dealing with him.

A1 was very knowledgeable and professional. They were running a little late but called to let me know they were running behind and when they would be here. My fairly new Samsung refrigerator was leaking and they got to the source quickly and resolved the issue. A1 will be first on my list for appliance repair from now on.

He was so responsive to my request! I called on a Friday afternoon and he was there Saturday morning. He was in and out in 1/2 hour. While he was there, he also checked my outdoor vent to ensure there was no blockage. I recommend A1 Appliance and I'll call them again the next time I have a problem with an appliance.

Easy was prompt, knowledgable, and professional. I called on 6/18 and he was able to be at the house the next day! The freezer was not completely freezing and the frig was not cooling. Easy determined we needed a fan motor replaced. He was able to get the work done within 2 hours.

Water stopped dispensing from my side by side refrigerator. I called A1 and described the problem and he told me a quick and easy way to fix the problem. Pretty awesome in my book. He could have easily came out and charged me for it. Anyway, while he didn't actually come out, I would definitely give him a call if again if an appliance needs repaired.

The tech found the sensor that was indicating a leak but no real leak was there. A drip pan had some water in it but not much. She dried the drip pan and looked long and hard for the leak but couldn't find it with a visual inspection. The leak has not returned in the 3 weeks since using the dishwasher. She knew her stuff and we were very confident that she did what she could. Spent over 2 hours there and the bill was just $89.

A1 replaced the heating element in our dryer over 2 visits between Christmas & New Year’s Day. While we appreciated the work during a holiday week, we were less than impressed with his demeanor & honesty. He first told us the heating element was broken, and quoted us a price for the part alone of over $100 (in addition to labor). I did some quick googling on my phone & told him I found dryer heating elements for around $30, and asked him to explain the large difference in price for the part. I believe I was reasonably polite about it; I explained that, because I’m not familiar with appliance repair, I felt I should at least figure out what I could online & ask him about it. He immediately became defensive and told us the entire heating assembly (not just the heating element) needed to be replaced. He also told us he charges the store’s price, without adding a markup for himself. We OKed the work. He checked his truck, brought in a part, but then about 10-15 minutes later he told us he had determined he actually did not have the correct part, and would have to come back in a couple days when the parts store opened. When he returned a couple days later, he fixed the dryer, but he replaced only the heating element—NOT the entire assembly, as he had told us was necessary. When we price-checked the specific part (using the box he left), we found that the LIST price for the Whirlpool factory part was $60, although he had charged us $115 for the part, per his invoice. I called and left a message with only my name, number, and a request to call me back, and he did not call back. We would not have objected to paying a local store’s price for an approved factory part, and we would not have objected to paying A1 extra for time spent working over a holiday week. But we do object to dishonesty about pricing and the part he replaced.

He replaced brackett and showed me some other issues

Our French door refrigerator was leaking from the bottom. We expected it to be from a clogged drain, but it ended up to be a much larger issue that took several hours on a Friday night. Even though he had to give up his Friday evening, he was pleasant and professional. He even fixed a problem with our ice maker and diagnosed a problem with our microwave. All for much less than I expected to pay. I highly recommend and will use again the next time I need an appliance repair.

awesome! called 5 different repair companies to fix my washing machine as it was not draining properly. this is bad new with small kids at home! 2 of the companies were scheduling a week out, which was unacceptable. 1 company called me the following day and 1 company never contacted me at all. A-1 called me that same day, within an hour of my request for a quote. He came to my home that same day, found the problem right away, and was prepared to fix it on the spot. My husband wasn't home from work and I wanted to discuss it with him first, so the repairman agreed to come back the following day should we decide to move ahead with the repair. I called him the following morning and he came out later that same day to fix it. No problems since. He was professional, punctual, great communication, reasonable pricing. He clearly knew what he was doing and displayed that during his explanations throughout the entire process. A-1 is definitely on my go-to list and I will be calling them again in the future for any additional appliance issues we have. Thank you A-1!

Before he attempted to diagnose the problem he suggested possible remedies not requiring a service call. He was very thorough in checking every possible reason for the problem. He retuned the following day and replace the timer.

Came out on a Saturday, diagnosed the problem, left to go buy the part before part store closed at 12 noon. Came back and replaced part and cleaned out lint out of all the workings of the dryer. Very good job.

The technician was very professional and personable at the same time. He explained everything that was being done and troubleshot the problem to get the most efficient and economic repairs. Esy was very good and I would recommend him and A1 Appliance for your repair needs. An execellent company.
