Gave me the brands, that in his experience had the most repair problems. No high pressure sales tactics. The $65.00 service call was less than the $100.00 several other companies wanted. Description of Work: He repaired a water leak in the refrigerator. The repairman was terrific. I would definiely have him back in the future and will recommend them to others.

Description of Work: We called A-1 Appliance Repair and they answered their phone immediately. I asked if they would be able to come out on the "same day" to fix our dryer. They said not a problem and they were out 6 hours later. Very courteous, professional, and I felt the price was worth every penny. I will call them again for service repairs.

Description of Work: Fixed our dish washer.

Description of Work: We had water accumulating in the refrigerator and thought we had a leak in the ice maker. It turned out to be a frozen defrost drain. He unfroze the drain and ran a piece of wire down the tube from the defrost heater to keep it from happening again. Quickly accomplished.

Description of Work: The week before we called because the washing machine would not drain. I was afraid the pump was gone and we would end up replcing because it was 14 years old. It was a sock stuck under the agitator and he fixed in 20 minutes. He aid the rest of the washer was in good shape and not rust on the body. We then had him look at the refrigerator door that did not always close unless you gave it a little push. He said the hinge was bent and came back the next week. We really liked this young man who was punctual, knowledgeable, and polite.

Description of Work: Replaced igniter in GE gas oven.

Description of Work: Called him on 4-21 and scheduled an appt. for the next day (4-22). He promised to arrive between 9 am and Noon. By 1:00 pm he had neither shown up, called to give a reason for his no show or requested rescheduling. I could have used those four hours to find another dishwasher repair business, made other phone calls and/or run errands. Now I must wait three days for another repair service to arrive! Future customers beware!

Description of Work: I called the company to repair my ice maker. The gentleman asked several questions about the problem. He then advised that I should call the repair company associated with the brand of refrigerator. A1 could have easily sent someone out and collected on the service call, but they did not. I appreciate the upfront honesty that this repair could be outside of their area of expertise. I will keep the number handy and will call this company with other repair needs in the future.

Description of Work: Unfortunately this company does not fix samsung washers but, the person who answered the phone was able to tell who in the columbus area does fix them ( only one company in the area )

Description of Work: Brooke identified what was the most likely cause of our refrigerator issue with the freezer not staying cold while I had him on the phone. He asked me to defrost it before he arrived which saved us money so that he didn't need to waste time thawing it out before he could work on it. He quickly identified the issue, went out to get the part he needed from a supplier even though it was getting late in the day and returned to fix it that same evening. Upbeat, knowledgable and honest. Will definitely call him again.

Description of Work: Called on weekend to leave message to set up service call following week. He answered and spent 15 min. discussing dishwasher problem. He suggested I look into buying new one as it was more cost effective. Took time from his day off and offered pros & cons to make decision. Whether use him on this project will use him in future. Lots of people can fix an appliance. What I want is someone I feel I can trust.

Description of Work: Brooke returned our call in an hour and then even came out same day, replaced a busted circuit board all under an hour. Thank goodness for him!

Description of Work: Very Honest. Told me it would be cheaper to replace the appliance than repair it. Since we own a B&B, he said we did not need a commercial washer again--They were essentially the same as a regular washer--just cost about $400.00 more.
