A 1 Appliance Repair

I called A-1 because there was soap suds running out the bottom of my dishwasher. I unknowingly put a sponge in there that must have had soap in it. I ran it through 2 rinse cycles to no avail. Brooke told me what to do on the phone. It worked and he saved me a service charge. :) I will definitely be a future customer.

He came within 4 hours of me calling, which was amazing! He was here for less than an hour and not only did he fix our dryer but also changed the way the door opened so that it was more convenient for us. Really nice guy, too. Not thrilled to have to spend money on a dryer right before Christmas, but he certainly made it as pleasant of an experience as it could be!

I called A-1 Appliance Repair to see if they could come out to look at my 18 year old washing machine to see if it was repairable. After I described the problem and the age of my appliance, A-1 Appliance Repair was very honest with me and stated that they could probably repair the machine but with how old it was it would likely have further more expensive repairs in the future. He told me it would be better for me to save my money from having him perform a service call and use it to buy a new washer. He also answered my questions about what kind of new washing machine to look for. I thoroughly appreciated his honesty and will call A-1 Appliance Repair in the future if needed.

It went great. He, based on the info I provided, made a good guess as to what was wrong and picked up the part and brought it with him just in case. It turned out to be what he expected so he was able to complete the work in a single trip.

Had shattered glass on front oven door. A-1 came out, inspected the door, found the correct part for replacement. I decided to replace the part myself since I had already taken the front oven door off; A-1 explained what I had to do. Well worth the service charge. I found them prompt, personable, professional and very reasonably priced. Would definitely use them again.

Brooke was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and down to earth. He identified the problem from past experience and the symptoms I gave him. He told me if he was right there would be carbon black under the part when removed where it had burned out. Sure enough!

The team at A-1 provided good advice and tried a few things to get the refrigerator up and running. My sense is that he did more than he was charging us for as it became clear that we likely needed a major repair/new compressor. My experience with them was very good and I would recommend them in the future.

Brooke came out on a Thursday after I called on Wednesday. He was able to order the part and come back Friday to install the part. My range is about 10-12 years old and the factory part that was sent wasn't as substantial as the original part had been. This concerned Brooke, so he spent some time with it and was able to modify the switch to make it stronger. Cooktop is working better than it has in a long time! We will certainly call him again if we need appliance repairs.

Brooke was prompt, professional and knowledgable. A-1 will be our go-to company for future appliance repairs. I highly recommend them!

He was very punctual and professional. He was concise and quick with the service, and he also provided additional care to extend the lifetime of our refrigerator.

Once we decided to replace the timer, Brooke advised that he would locate the part and would be out in two days. He came as scheduled and replaced the timer and the washing machine has been working well every since. What I truly liked about the experience was Brooke being very candid about my options. He did not try to convince to fix the washing machine nor purchase a new one. He provided me with options the pros and cons of each and let me decide. In this day in age integrity and honesty go a a long way. I appreciate his service and would DEFINITELY use him again and refer him to others, Thanks Brooke.

He had to order the part. He called while at my house to make sure the manufacturer had it. He rigged the washer so I could use it until the part came in. He was polite and professional. I will call him again if I need him.

Water was leaking out onto the floor. Called and he arrived the same day within 4 hours, fixed the problem promptly and was very friendly. Great service.

Great very professional, yet friendly

Brooke was prompt in returning my call. He went above and beyond to evaluate, diagnose, and fix our refridgerator. He even came up with a quick fix while the necessary part was ordered. We couldn't have been happier. Everything was up and running again before some of the other providers we had called even got back to us!

Brooke was able to come out within a day or two of calling him. He was on time (within the window) & called me before arriving. Brooke did a thorough inspection & concluded that the machine just needed an overall maintenance tune-up and cleaning. He considered the age of the machine and the amount of work needed before going ahead with the job. This can be really important as many appliances aren't build to last more than 10 -12 years. He tested the machine for awhile before leaving the job, it sounded great! His rate that he charged was very fair.

I'll start with the fact that Brooke responded to my problem the day after I called. He called in advance to let me know he was en route and arrived within the time frame he promised. He is probably one of the most honest service providers I have ever worked with. He diagnosed the problem and said he could make the repair at a price far less than I was anticipating. Not only that, he also discovered a huge lint buildup that was definitely a fire hazard and removed it free of charge (I was in a state of shock when he showed it to me). Honest, prompt, professional and fair. I will definitely use him again if any other related repairs are needed.

He is a very nice and good man. He was easy to schedule with also.

Our Dyer stopped heating. I checked Angie's list and saw that A-1 Appliance Repair had overwhelmingly "A" review accept for one "D." I read a few of the "A's" then the one "D." It was obvious that the individual that gave A-1 Appliance Repair the "D" was out of line. In the review the individual discusses a problem with a quote not a repair. The quoted information compared to the one I received (that was very detailed and appropriate) was misquoted by the reviewer leaving the "D" rating. I would suggest that anyone reading this review ignore the "D" rating and caulk it up to a person that did not have any real experience with A-1 Appliance Repair, as my experience was absolutely wonderful! Here is what occurred in my home. I called A-1 Appliance Repair at approximately 3 PM in the afternoon. I received a very reasonable and detailed quote of the cost of a service call followed by an guarantee that the repair man would be at my house within an hour. 45 minutes later the gentleman arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem and showed me what caused the overheating that blowout the thermal fuse. He then repaired by dyer. After completing the repair he went on to made additional adjustments at no extra charge! I was totally impressed with his professionalism, his quick arrival, and information on how to keep this problem from occurring again. If I could give all "A+'s" in each area I would!

The repairman came the same day that I called. He arrived on time and I really appreciate his honesty that it might not be worth the repair cost. It turns out the repair lasted about six weeks - but I knew that might happen and I was prepared. I would hire the repairman again.

Just don't give a bad review if you have not even talked to the repair man or had a service call...

I have used A-1 Appliance and Brooke in the past and always been glad that I did. this time was no exception. Called Brooke because LG front-loading washing machine wouldn't drain. He suspected drain pump and we made tentative appointment for later in the day; unfortunately, his truck experienced problems and had to be fixed. He kept me apprised of his schedule , borrowed a car and arrived at time convenient for me the following day--new pump in hand. Replacement was efficiently handled, machine worked. Brooke is very polite, tidy, earnest and very good at what he does. I am also a sucker for a repair person who wears an identifying pressed shirt and who takes his shoes off when he enters house.

If he charges this much to look at the appliances then I'm not interested in his price to do actual repair.
