A 1 Appliance Repair

Description of Work: Very Friendly & Knowledgeable Service Technician. Just by listening to the spin cycle the technician was able to diagnos the needed $500.00 repair. He basically said it was more economical to buy a new washer. Cheapest service call in Cbus @ $19.95 plus tax. Very pleased with their service.

Description of Work: Lid switch did not work and he fixed it and also replaced some minor parts to the agitator.

Description of Work: I could not have asked for better more time efficient service! From the moment I called brook , he was nice and said he could be out within a day to fix our dryer! His charges were incredibly reasonable and I will use him again for all of my appliance repairs! He even went beyond what I asked him to do and was able to fix two more problems for me ! He was very personable and I will never use anyone other then him!

Description of Work: I had a refrigerator ice maker problem and they figured out the problem, it was leaking water.

Description of Work: I called Brook requesting that he disconnect a downdraft stove for replacement with a free standing item. He offered to come and check out the job for no charge to see if he in fact could do what I was requesting. He did come out as promised,did the job quickly and expertly. He also saw that my vent to my clothes dryer was not up to par and fixed that using some of his own equipment. He charged me for service only. My new stove was delivered the next day and easily placed by the delivery men due to Brook's preparation of the area.

Description of Work: My refrigerator/freezer was not cooling. The freezer doors were hot and the dital readings very high. I renewed my Angie's list subscription today in the hopes of finding a reliable repairman. I called Brooke Preston after reading the reviews given by other customes. He spent about 5 minutes on the phone with me as I explained the problem. He gave me suggestions to try, which for now are working. But what impressed me the most was that he was willing to assist me without the need of coming to my house. His words were " I can come if you want me to, but why pay me $59 for me to tell you the same thing I'm telling you on the phone". I greatly appreciate his honesty and professionalism. I have added him to my "favorites" list in the event I need other appliance repairs. Thank you Mr. Preston.

Description of Work: Our Frigidaire refridgerator stopped cooling and starting to make an awful noise. We called and spoke with Brooke. He spent 20 minutes on the phone with us to convince us not to fix it because there was a good chance the repair would cost more than half of what a new fridge would and the replaced part may not last long. If we ever need to fix any appliance in the future, we are not even going to research here... we are just going to call A-1.

Description of Work: I had 2 refridgerators that were acting up. One in my garage that was freezing up, and the other in the kitchen that leaked, flooding the kitchen and going into the basement ceiling. Brooke explainded what he thought the problem was with the one in the kitchen offering to wait to come out until we tried his suggestion. Being we had 2 to fix, he came out at the end of his day and fixed them both. Took extra time on the one in the garage even though he wasn't quite sure at the start that he could fix it. Both jobs were done in a timely manner and the price was very fair. Nice guy! Would hire again.

Description of Work: I did not end up having the dryer repaired. The company was honest enough to tell me over the phone that the repair may ending up costing almost as much as a new dryer. This, coupled with the fact that the dryer had already been repaired once before (not by A-1) I decided it was time for a new dryer. I really appreciate the honesty of A-1. It is hard to find these days.

Description of Work: Brook fixed my broken freezer ... he found the broken part and fixed it right away. He was here on time and I would work with him again.

Description of Work: The guy came out and immediately found the problem with our refrigerator, which was unfortunately beyond repair. He was very helpful and sympathetic and seemed to really know his stuff. He explained exactly what had happened. I would use this company again..

Description of Work: My washer was producing very smelly clothes and running bleach cycles did no good. Brooke was very honest about this type of stuff and came out that afternoon. He took apart the washer, let me clean the rim and another piece, then put it all back together. He also purchased some cleaner for me to run through the washer. So far so good. Thanks Brooke!

Description of Work: We thought we had to buy a new refrigerator, for the temperature inside wouldn't get below 45 degrees. I called Brooke Preston at A-1 Appliance Repair because I got his name from Angie's List. He came over that same day, checked it out and fixed it. The freezer thermostat was bad and needed replaced. He was a great guy who explained all the we asked concerning the refrigerator. I would definitely recommend him.
