I received an email on Saturday (May 9th) that the delivery was attempted but not successful and stating that they would be contacting the recipient to arrange a delivery time. As of Sunday night at 10 pm, the recipient had not received the delivery, and had not gotten a phone call or a message or a written note that a delivery was attempted. I called 1-800-FLOWERS on Monday to express my dissatisfaction. The operator did apologize but then tried to talk me into accepting a 50% reduction and voucher toward 20% off a future order instead of canceling the order. I told her that I felt like the company should deliver the product for free and give me a refund given the circumstances (no evidence of any actual delivery attempt and no evidence of attempted contact with the recipient). The operator said the company did not provide any free products. I declined the 50% reduction twice before asking to speak to a supervisor, at which time the operator was suddenly able to cancel the order. I was informed that it would take approximately 2 weeks for a refund to be completed.
Description of Work: The provider accepted an order for a fruit arrangement to be delivered on Mother's Day (second choice on the Saturday before Mother's Day). I paid extra for the Mother's Day delivery. I placed the order more than a week in advance.
