I was curious to see if the floors would separate during the winter season because wood naturally contracts and expands with the temperature/humidity. The floors remained very stable during the heating season. Colonial Hardwoods provides a very professional installation. The floors were stained with a chestnut stain followed by three coats of an oil-based sealer. I am so satisfied with Colonial Hardwoods that they will be coming back to install hardwood in the master bedroom and hallway. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Colonial Hardwoods installed, sanded, and finished three bedroom floors w/closets with 2 1/4" oak hardwood. Scott Lippert and crew did an awesome job! They installed the floors carefully without doing damage to the walls, trim, or baseboard heaters. They were careful to lay down an underlayment before installing the flooring. They took the time to carefully layout the flooring before cutting/installing it. Scott was very good about going over all the details each day before he began working. I appreciate this great communication.

Description of Work: I had a prior poor experience having hardwood floors put in. |Scott went above and beyond tearing out existing flooring and installing hickory floors from scratch. |Was able to match the stain color I was looking for and although putting in floors from scratch takes longer the end result was wonderful. |I have told several people about colonial floors and thanks to scott and john I am finally comfortable in my home with my beautiful floors!!!!! |Thanks guys |
