Smileys Painting and Home Repair is a family run business! My wife is my helper. We stay booked 4-6 weeks out so please plan ahead before purchasing e commerce or calling to schedule work:) I am available for emergency work 24/7 please call and If I can help you I certainly will! Greg did a great job. The back door needed to be taken out and a new door installed. The door looks great and the installation was very professional. Also had bathroom ceiling painted with some minor repairs from water damage. Greg came the night before the job was scheduled and primed the area needing repair. Very happy with the work overall. Would definitely use and recommend Smiley's.

Once I put in a request, the work was completed in just a few days from my request. The actual work was finished in one day with two visits--allowing the repair work to harden then painting it.

My experience with Greg was fantastic. It seems most of the contractors out there don't care about the job they do, but Greg does. He did a fantastic job painting my house and didn't get any paint on my brick, which was important to me. I put a new yard in a few months ago and Greg took extra care not to leave any paint on the grass and picked up after himself. Considering all the scraping he had to do I'm surprised there were no paint chips anywhere in the yard.
He cares about the job he does and it's important to him that the customer is happy. A rare find with contractors these days.

Great Experience! Greg's pride and interest in his painting shows. Greg took his time in painting my living room to insure that the job was completed correctly . I'm looking into selling my house and would definitely hire Greg to paint the interior . Overall, the Big Deal price was right and the work completed was above my expectations.

I contacted the owner, Greg. He prompted responded and noted that he had received many responses from the Big Deal and had a full schedule. Since I was not in a hurry, I agreed to follow up in about a month. I contacted Greg a month later. Greg agreed to fit me in on short notice to accomodate my schedule. Greg promptly showed up at the agreed upon time. He finished the job quickly and neatly. He cleaned up and was on his way. I have no complaints. I would defintely recommend Greg. I am a big advocate of small businesses. I feel that when a person owns the business, he/she takes more pride in their work. I can indeed say that is the case for Greg.

Drywall
This went exactly as I wanted it to. I wanted him to do as much as he could in the time that I had. I am a "do it yourselfer wanna be" but I admit that hauling, cutting and screwing in an 8ft piece of drywall up three flights is way beyond me. I know that I can do painting and sanding so that is what I plan to do this weekend. I expect I will be calling him for other jobs in the future.

"I showed up for my appointment as scheduled.I am not liscensed to do the work she needed so I told the member that.I then recommended a couple of contractors to her. I can not be held responsible for other peoples actions. I called these people and talked extensively with the member at my loss of time also .I never contracted work and i get a bad report ,this is a joke! I tried to help someone who cant find any and this is the thanks i get SORRY."

I had an EXCELLENT experience with Smileys painting. I was really impressed with how prompt Greg was with getting back to me, setting up a time for an estimate and then quickly scheduling a time to start the work. I appreciated being able to actually speak with him when I called rather than waiting a day or two to hear back from him...as is what I have experiencd with other companies. He did an excellent job. He was very professional and friendly. I feel like I got great work at a good price. I have already passed along his cards to my neighbors. I definitley recommend Smileys. I will be using Smileys again.

"I talked to the member in June when he purchased the big deal .We talked about My schedule and I told him my availability was at least three weeks out and he thanked me for letting him know.I was not aware that he was ready for me to paint,however i returned home this evening to find this report and immediately called the member to try to resolve the problem.His wife informed me he was entertaining guests so i will make another attempt to solve the issue in the morning.10/03/2011. I regret any customer feeling this way and its not how i operate.I would like to stress to all of my customers that i deeply value your business and will do anything possible to accomodate your wishes,but please keep in mind I am a One Man Business and at times im Human.Hopefully the member and I can talk in the morning and resolve his issue ,Thank You for reading Gregory P. He is a great guy. He did the job within the time of the certificate I purchased from him as a promo. (2 hrs of work for a prepaid amt). Only charged $10 for supplies.
He was very nice, professional. I need him back!!!! He has a ton of painting to do, but his schedule sounds tight!

This was one of the greatest experiences I've had with someone working in my home. Greg is an expert at what he does. He has excellent leadership skills with his crew. My home looks wonderful and ready to put on the market. I've never had such quality and timely service from any handyman/painter/contractor. I've done this many times as we are a family who relocates regularly with corporate moves. If I could have Greg and his crew do this everytime we need to move across the country, I would lose less sleep whenever I know it's time to get a house ready to sell.

I called Greg right after I bought the coupon and he answered the phone (which was a shocker based on experiences we have had in the past). He was very professional and courteous. He asked the right questions and he was able to give a good estimate on the amount of time that it would take him without even seeing the room. We set up a date and time right there on the first call. He communicated very well with me. He followed up the day before he was going to do the job and made sure that we were still expecting him. He was prompt on his arrival. He had all of the materials needed. Once I showed him the room, he went right to work. He worked quietly and swiftly. When he was done, he showed my husband and I the room. He asked if we wanted another quote. My husband has a good eye for paint and he thought Greg did a great job. Greg said that if we decided on another coat to call him and he would come back out Saturday. We decided the room looked fine as it was. We had a great overall experience with Greg.

Greg was amazing. He knocked-out an interior ceiling very quickly, & professionally. My wife asked if he could hang the outdoor shutters, & he said he coul not only do it, but he could do it right then. He ended up having to drill new holes in the masonry, but he stayed at it until they looked beautiful. And this was on the hottest day of the year! He's a great guy, & very professional.

I purchased two hours of work through an Angie's Big Deal offer. Greg (Smiley's Painting) and I set up a couple of appointments but the weather would not cooperate! He even offered to come during the 4th of July holiday to complete the work but it rained on that day as well. Finally, we got some clear weather on July 5th so he came that evening.
It is an old wood porch that has several spots where the wood needs to be replaced. However, I did not want to take on the expense of replacing the wood right now so I was looking for a way to clean it up and make it presentable. Greg scraped the loose paint from the porch floor and filled in some of the big gaps with wood putty to smooth them out as good as possible. He painted the entire porch floor, putting two coats of paint on the areas that he repaired with wood putty. Prior to his arrival I did replace the wood on two of the porch steps so he put two coats of paint on the new steps as well.
He spent 3 hours total on the job and charged me for 1 additional hour at the same rate as the Big Deal price (which he was not obligated to do). I gave him a bit more given his dedication to getting the work done and because he did use some supplies to repair parts of the porch (I provided the paint).
It was well worth the money and the porch looks much better. I am hoping to make the repair last through this season and look to replace the wood sometime next year. Since Greg is also a handyman I would definitely consider giving him that job whenever I get around to it. I recommend him and I will use him again.

Greg put our bathroom back together after a pipe split behind the wall in the middle of the night. He patched up the hole in the wall, painted everything and re-plumbed the vanity. Looks good! Keep smiling.
