Shetler Moving & Storage of Ohio, Inc.

The Shetler movers were very professional, prompt, and cautious with my furniture. The price I was quoted was the price I was charged. They showed up on time and got the work done very quickly. The movers very careful, especially of my newly refinished hardwood floors! A job well done!

Shetler was the Cincinnati local franchise of Atlas Moving Co. Shetler actually did a fine job packing up and moving our goods in Cincinnati. Our nightmare began when we wanted our goods transported to Boston in December. We contacted Shetler in very early Novemeber (like Nov 4), and told them we wanted our furniture delivered either Dec 16 or 17 so we would have plenty of time to get organized before Christmas. We had been told they only needed two weeks notice, but we really wanted our goods delivered on time, so we gave them lots of notice. What happened was our furniture was not delivered until December 23!!!! They cancelled runs and changed drivers and had all kinds of excuses that demonstrated lack of customer concern and lack of organization on their part. Our goods were left on a truck in frigid temperatures for about two weeks. So much for climate control! All I knew was my family company arrived two days before my furniture and Atlas ruined my Christmas! They had tried to make amends by offering us a service to unpack our goods as they were delivered thinking that was a generous offer. But the last thing I wanted or needed two days before Christmas were a bunch more people in my house unpacking things and not knowing where to put them, and neither would I!! I finally wrote a letter to the Vice president of Atlas giving them feed back on their lack of customer service. The response from them was written by some lowly manager who reprimanded me for not taking their unpacking service. It emphasized their lack of customer concern expecting me to want something they offered, but I would NEVER want!! This letter was even more infuriating! They are out of touch with their customers! I did not want any money or service retribution, I wanted them to acknowledge they screwed up with a customer and they should review their policies., and listen to their customers. Now I will never trust them again to do business and could never recommend them to anyone! Beware!

They were fine.

In the sales part they kept changing the numbers. The guys that did the move were very nice and they worked hard. They were careful and we had no surprises. The price in the end was great and was a very good deal.
