Dave was quick to help me with a tight timeline. He had his team here by the end of the week to take out the old, He worked with me on whether to keep or replace tub, toilet, etc. The installation of the tile was professionally done, the team checked with me on the pattern of the tile install. They cleaned up after themselves, rehung the doors and overall did a professional job.

These guys create works of art. They are very talented and know what they are doing. Curt and Jose arrived promptly and got to work right away. I appreciated their knowledge and suggestions to help make the job look more professional. They have an outstanding work ethic and seemed to take pride in doing a good job. They took care to protect the surrounding areas and cleaned up meticulously afterward. Dave made sure the job ran smoothly. You could tell that he has taken the time to train these guys the right way. Jose even took the time to tighten up a loose base cabinet. I would not hesitate to hire Schul Tile & Stone again and would recommend them to anyone in the Cincinnati area who is looking for a professional tile job.

Dave Schul responded very promptly when I called for an estimate. He is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Once a date was established to do the work, they showed up and continued to show up when promised until the job was finished. Curt, the installer is young but experienced, focused, polite and clearly cares that his work meets a high quality standard. Dave stopped in a couple of times during the process to make sure that all was well. If there is more tile work in my future, I WILL be contacting them again.

I worked with Dave to have a glass tile backsplash installed in my kitchen as a part of a remodel. Three different work areas were involved. Dave came out to measure for the tile backsplash prior to the tile being selected, which was not a problem. Once I selected the tile I asked Dave how much I should order (I was ordering from an internet site). He provided guidance on how much to order and also told me about using a 'schluter' strip to finish off the exposed edges. Once the tile arrived I contact Dave via email to set an install date. Another contractor working with Dave actually did the installation but Dave stopped by each day to see how things were going. Dave also obtained the grout color that I desired and coordinated with the contractor to have it on hand. I love the backsplash!! I thought it was very well done and really complements my cabinets and granite countertops. I did not encounter any issues during the whole process and I would highly recommend Schul Tile for tile backsplash work. I also thought the price was very reasonable; for perspective the tile I ordered was just about as expensive as the labor.

I called Dave to come for an estimate on several tile issues in the two upstairs bathrooms. He was prompt, extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful in explaining the options to me. He did not push any unnecessary repairs or replacements and was very attentive to my questions and concerns. He suggested several stores where I could find suitable tile in appropriate price ranges for my budget, which made selection much easier. After I made my selections, he arranged the order and brought all materials to my home. When the job began, Dave came over to check on the progress several times. His son did most of the work, and he was a terrific young man, very skilled, conscientious, and considerate. He cleaned up any mess that was created each day, worked efficiently, and paid attention to details, keeping me informed of each step in the process. I cannot emphasize enough how well this company worked with me; for example, I was concerned about the dust the job might create. They laid drop-cloths and cleaned up after work each day. The entire process took about four days, and I experienced no stress whatsoever. The end product is beautiful! I have had many service workers and contractors in my home in the past twenty four years, and this company ranks at the top. I wish they did jobs other than tile work, because I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Dave the owner has put together a great team, from the tile workers to the plumber, who provide excellent service. I am very pleased.

We were not exactly sure what type of tile to use, so we need consultation as well as an estimate of cost. Dave Schul came to our home, measured our space, and provided advice about several places to look at tile samples. As we initially looked at tile, Dave was available to us by phone and e-mail to discuss pros and cons of certain types of tiles and patterns that would fit our space. He was informational while allowing our to make our own choices according to our preferences. We were able to e-mail Dave our final tile choice, which he then purchased at his contractor discount price. We selected a travertine tile in a mosaic pattern, as well as a travertine as a 16" x 16" travertine and marble decorative medallion to go in the space over our stove. Dave communicated to his installers exactly what we wanted. The installers arrived promptly on the day of service. They asked us several questions to confirm the layout of the tile. The tile and grout were completed in one day, and sealed on the second day. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the installers. They kept our kitchen as clean as possible throughout the process. The complex pattern was complete,d and exceeded our expectations. We would contract with Schul Tile again.

We contacted Schul Tile & Company at the recommendation of a tile distributor to install a backsplash in our kitchen. Owner Dave Schul responded promptly, provided advice for tile selection, submitted a fair and reasonable quotation and completed the project on schedule. He was pleasant to work with and his team is very professional. We are totally pleased with the new backsplash and completely satisfied with all aspects of the work completed by Schul Tile and Stone.

I called 3 vendors to come quote on correcting a botched shower flower install. Dave came and assessed the situation in a very timely manner. He was professional, consultative, and appeared to be genuinely concerned with both my need (the project) and my budget. I selected his company over the other bidders and his installer, Dan Grube, was able to get started within days! Dan, too, was extremely professional and treated my family with respect. He completed the job on time, on budget, and with a high degree of quality. These gentleman, and this organization have earned the right of first refusal for any of my future tile work!

Overall, just OK. Repair took about 4 hours. Owner (Dave) sent his son to do the work and, although his son is very polite and professional, quality of work was not fantastic. A couple of the tiles were not set flush and he used a gray color caulk, rather than the white which was in the rest of the shower area. Not a big deal, since the repair was only temporary (will eventually remodel the bathroom).

We decided to have Schul Tile & Stone install our kitchen backsplash based on Angies' List rating, price quote and initial meeting with Dave Schul. He is a super friendly guy and seemed to have obvious knowledge about tiling to answer all our questions. He was prompt in etting back to us with a quote and his price was in the range of other quotes we received and a little lower than most. Schul Tile & Stone was very cooperative when we had last minute changes to the date we could allow them to start. When the work began, Dave's stepson arrived on time and promptly got to work. He was a very conscientious worker and completed the job in the time we were told to expect. He, too, was very friendly and willing to listen to our detailed requests. He was very thorough in his work and wouldn't quit until he was satisfied with the outcome. He seemed to have no issues or problems and seemed very skilled at his job. He began with the framed area over the cooktop and was very precise in his measurements and cuts. Everything else from there fell into place with no extremely small pieces or odd shapes. He planned it out very well. He was diligent in his cleanup, as well. If we were to do any other tiling work we would use Schul Tile & Stone and highly recommend them to others.

Was pleased with the end result. Saved having to completely tear out the shower stall and start over. As this is a house being sold, cost was an issue. They worked with me to find the most cost-effective way to have the shower end up looking nice enough for potential buyers and solved the problem at the same time so that it didn't recur.

I spoke with Dave regarding our need for a short turn around time for tiling work. I sent a picture with the specifications of my kitchen out on a Friday requesting a quote ASAP. By Monday evening, I hadn't heard back so I reached back out asking if he was still interested. He emailed me back stating I should call him right away. By the time I received the message, it was late in the evening so I called him on Tuesday morning. He quoted me a price, which was about 10% - 15% higher than other quotes, but when I expressed hesitation he lowered the price to a reasonable amount. He stated he would come by at 4:30 to complete a visual quote. I asked him to call me if he was going to be late. I left work early (and am now forced to go back to work in the evening to finish up) to meet him at our house. At 5pm, I called him and got his voice mail. I let him know that I was leaving the house and that we were no longer interested in the tiling work. I was hoping to have this done before I moved in, but I'd am going to find someone who is interested in following up with me (rather than vice versa).

Dave and his crew were great. I contacted Dave from Angie's list and later received a recommendation from a friend who is a contractor for high-end houses. His estimate was prompt, detailed and included a recommendation for a grout additive to prevent staining. The work took about a week with a one day delay caused by the tile order that I placed. Even though the order was paid and delivery confirmed, the tile order was never placed by the store. Dave spent over 3 hours working through the issue with the store and was able to locate the tile and get it delivered. Bryan was leading the installation and was then able to pick the tile up at the store and complete the job with Jose by working on a Saturday. The tile was 12x24 which involved a lot of cutting, including around existing cabinets that we were not replacing. They cleaned up each night and actively worked with us to keep the dust down in the house. The floors look beautiful. Not only are we impressed with the new tile, but all of our guests have been impressed with how good the floor looks and the detail of the work. Dave, Bryan and Jose were friendly, flexible, accommodating and skilled during the entire project and did a great job! .

They did a great job and are punctual, hardworking and clean. I was happy with the service and give them all A's. I will use them again in the future.

It was great. Dave Schul did a fabulous job and we plan to use him for our next tiling job, when we are ready to start that project.

We were remodeling our basement and decided to add a bathroom with a tile floor and tile shower with a decorative tile inlay. I had just laid the tile floor and put in cement board around the shower to prepare for the tile and my wife suggested that we get professional help to finish the job before our family came to town for Thanksgiving. We called Schul Tile based on their great Angie's List reviews. Mr. Schul came out to our home the afternoon that I called. He gave me quote to tile the shower and offered to include grouting the floor tile that I had recently laid. His crew was back the next day to begin the work. Within a little more than 48 hours after I called, the project was complete. I am fairly handy and hesitate hiring contractors because even though it takes me longer (sometimes a lot longer) I feel like I can do better quality work. After Mr. Schul and his crew finished, I was kicking myself for not calling them sooner. They were prompt, they did a fantastic job, they offered suggestions that I hadn't considered (they suggested adding a tile shampoo / soap shelf to the shower), they charged exactly what the estimate was ($500), they were courteous, and they cleaned up after their work. They even came back a day or two after they were done just to make sure I was happy with the work (and I was). I've found that some contractors hate to finish a job started by someone else, but they didn't mind at all and they did better work than I ever could have. I couldn't be happier. If there was a grade to give higher than an A+, I would give it.

We had contacted Dave as well as a few other tile installers to get quotes after we selected a tile from a distributor. All 3 companies came out to measure and submit quotes. Dave's price was similar to the others but the actual quote was much more thorough in terms of how much each phase/portion cost as well as what was and wasn't included. Dave was very passionate about making sure the job would turn out well and walked us through the entire process going over things such as to make sure you have the area for demolition complete walled off with plastic from the rest of the house as the dust WILL go everywhere. It took his crew of 3 about 7 days of work to demolish the old floor, lay the new one, and grout which is pretty quick since our house is very angular (very few straight runs so lots of tile sawing). Throughout the project Dave was easily reachable in the evenings or daytime when we had questions. All in all was a very good contractor to work with and would use again.

They took a week to complete the work. They were very professional and know what they are doing. My walls were dirty and they came back and cleaned them for me. They came when they said they would come and they called back. The owner came and checked on his people. I rate them high overall. I will use them again in the future if needed.

My experience with Dave was excellent. Dave called me back the same day and came out to my house the following day to give me an estimate. While there, he told me exactly how much tile I needed to buy and the different types of tile that I should buy. Dave works with his sons and they were able to start my job two days later. They arrived right when they said they would and were very pleasant and professional. They came back after the weekend to finish and grout. The tile job is excellent - our basement shower is now the nicest shower in the house. Dave even offered to make a corner soap dish out of an extra tile and that was a nice touch and something that I think will prove very useful. Dave was working nearby and came by after his sons were done to inspect the work and make sure that we were happy. Overall I could not be more pleased with the whole experience. We will use Dave and his sons again.

Dave did a terrific job. He was able to squeeze me in between jobs as my job was a small bathroom. My wife laid out the marble pattern the way she wanted it and Dave installed it per spec.He was on time, on budget, cleaned up the job each day, and made sure we were satisfied with the work. Great job. Look no further if you want a quality job at a reasonable price.
