 + -1 moreThese guys were amazing. They were the first ones to call after I submitted a request on Angie's List, and they came out the same afternoon. They did everything they could to keep the price of the repair down, including calling the furnace manufacturer to see if some of the parts were covered by warranty. Then they were willing to work with me when it ended up costing a bit more than I expected (something that was out of their control.) They lent me a few heaters to put in my kids' rooms overnight since the parts place had closed for the day by the time they knew what they needed. The level of care I received from this company was incredible - not something I expected at all. I'm really happy to have worked with them, and I most definitely will be giving them my business in the future!

We had tried others in the past it seemed they are more interested in charging for a service call than fixing the problem. Once we discovered New Climate, they are the only company will call. | |When it was time to consider retiring our 15+ year old HVAC, they took the time to give us several options, including keeping the old system. Honesty is what is so important when you are considering spending thousands of dollars. | |With their help, we decided to buy a new system. Installation was the most organized, cleanest, and precise I have ever seen. I have shown the system to house guests and they are impressed, too. | |Our home is much more quiet and comfortable with the new system.  + -1 moreKirk arrived and listened carefully to our problem and what had been done to date. He diagnosed the possible problems, and thought that he could fix the unit rather than replacing it. We had proposals to fully change out our system: not one heating and cooling company was interested in working on the unit to repair it. Kirk analyzed the potential problems and systematically tested the outside unit thoroughly. We repaired the unit, vs. replacing it, and saved us thousands of dollars. He is a pleasure to work with, and I will recommend his company to everyone I meet. Honorable, hard working and trustworthy. Most highly recommended!!

 + 0 moreThe furnace in my mother's home was not putting out much heat. The home consists of an 88 year old, 33 year old and a 5 year old. The temperature kept getting colder and colder (56 when they woke today). I take care of the household finances for my mother, and had my niece call for service. Kirk came this evening, found the problem and got it fixed. He found the gas pipe blocked for some rust. If he was unscrupulous, she could have soaked us for a new ignitor since that is what we assumed the problem was. Instead, he only charged us for a one-hour service call even though he was there longer. He was nice, courteous, and I would recommend him to anyone (and will).

 + -1 moreI was advised by another HVAC service company that I needed to replace the condenser motor and fan on our cooling system. I was provided an estimate in excess of $1,000. So, I opted for a second opinion. I contacted Kirk Wiesman at New Climate. Kirk evaluated the unit that same day and stated that it is difficult to predict when the motor may fail. With young children in my home, I prefer to error on the side of caution and wanted the motor replaced if I could afford to do so. Kirk stated that the fan was fine and did not need to be replaced. As promised, Kirk provided later that same day an estimate to replace the motor ($393). We agreed upon a date and time for the work to be completed. Kirk showed up on time and installed a direct replacement (original equipment) motor. Kirk explained the charges, which matched the estimate. Kirk also explained the warranty on this work.
Description of Work: New Climate replaced the condenser motor on our residential cooling system.

 + -1 moreKirk installed a furnace for us in 2010, sent his nephew to service the furnace in the spring. He left us an extra filter and will no longer return our calls. I called New Climate this fall for service to our furnace and talked to his secretary. She said she'd have him call us. WE didn't hear from him or anyone at his office. I called his cell two weeks later and got no response. Kirk Wiseman likes to install an expensive furnace but not to provide the service to maintain it and keep up the warranty.
Description of Work: Kirk Wiseman of New Climate would not service the furnace he installed last year.

 + -1 moreKirk was getting a lot of jobs at this time and I told him we didn't have people living in the house until Thanksgiving came around so that gave him some more flex time and made the job take a little longer, but he finished about a week before I was planning on moving in. The furnace works great, and the ductwork they installed was very impressive going through three floors (through two closets). The attic wasn't the easiest place to work in and there are some neat twist and turns these guys had to take and he even cut the shelves and rod, then remounted them to fit with the ductwork. Also gave a great price compared to 4 other contractors I had quote the job.
Description of Work: They installed a new 95% efficient, two stage furnace with a wireless thermostat, along with an air conditioner. The AC required two new circuits to be ran from the box to a disconnect outside. The house didn't have a return air duct (important for the AC) so they also ran ductwork from the basement through the first and second floor, into the attic, and dropped return vents into four rooms upstairs.

Description of Work: It was a hot weekend and the air conditioner froze. Kirk came out repaired the unit and added freon. He also made some recommendations but suggested that I have them come back on the weekday when the rate was lower. i also discussed with him an upstairs air conditioner which he made some suggestions for but thought a portable unit that was significantly less expensive that I could buy from Costco would be a much cheaper and better route for me.

Description of Work: New Climate installed a hi-eff furnace and A/C in my home after my old furnace failed right after Thanksgiving 2010. I received estimates from Sears and Jacobs also. New Climate estimate was much lower than Sears and about the same as Jacobs. Kirk Weisman impressed me with his personality and honesty. My furnace went out again before New Climate was scheduled to replace it, and Kirk repaired it at no charge. He started work on my replacement system as scheduled and completed it in 2/1/2 days. Kirk and his assistants did an excellent job on the installation and cleaned up the area after they finished. They explained the programmable thermostat, humidifier, and other components so my wife and I could understand how they worked. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.

 + -1 moreThe furnace works quite well. New Climate even repaired some bad ductwork on our 2nd furnace for a reasonable price. Kirk reviewed several options with me about what size furnace we needed and why, the differences between furnaces of three companies, and left the final decision for me and my husband to make. When we hesitated because of the pricing of the 3 furnaces, he called the companies and got us a lower price on each furnace.
Description of Work: Kirk, the owner, came and provided a thorough estimate of the cost of installing a new furnace. Two workers came the day of installation, arrived late about an hour, but did a really nice job of installing the furnace. The owner came by to check on their progress and supervise.

 + -1 moreExcellent job. The only supplier I found who would tried to repair my heat pump and/or prolong its remaining life instead of going for the big sale upfront. Because of that honesty, I will definitely turn to them for the eventual replacement.
Description of Work: Heat pump would not turn on. A couple of other suppliers said the heat pump was dead and insisted I needed to buy a new unit. This company took the time to come back and look at the unit further, and turned out the unit was just low on freon due to a leak that kept the unit from kicking in. When the unit is ready to be replaced, I will turn to them for being so honest and not rushing to make the big sale. We need more suppliers like them.

I had no a/c.... they set up window a/cs to keep me comfortable overnight... they were very neat and professional.... price was competitive.... top quality equipment.... 10 year guarantee on parts and labor if you pay their yearly maintenance fee ($162) which includes 2 checkups per year. They made sure i got all rebates availalble (govt and duke energy).

 + -1 moreI called Lennox from the info on their Web site and they gave me the closest companies using out Zip code. This was the second company I called and Kirk answered. Offered to come out in an hour and give us an estimate. He did - and spent all the time it took to educate us as to what is new available since we installed our system in a new home, 21 years ago. We both liked him and what he had to say and his organized, customer friendly presentation. He listened to what we wanted without trying to sell and in a way that instilled confidence and trust. We thought that was pretty amazing - muy husband and I talked it over after he left and called him immediately and consented to the work. He and his assistants showed up the next day and we've never had such a complications- free encounter. They worked steadily and well and seemed to enjoy each other and the work and it showed.
Description of Work: Kirk (owner) and two assistants came out the day after we contracted for the new furnace, air cleaner, humidifier, and all-in-one theromstat humidistat They installed all this in one day smoothly and no hassle. Even pathched the drywall where they took the old humidistat out. Their cleanup was perfect as well.
