After spending approx. 1 hour viewing my entire home the organizer stated that I didn't really need her service because I was already very organized! I can't tell you how much I appreciated her honesty and integrity! I would recommend to everyone!

Karen is amazing! We spent a couple of hours together talking about the needs as I saw them across our home, as well as our general habits and routines. Then we went away on vacation and left her our key (I trusted her completely). We came home to transformed spaces, reflecting beautifully our discussions and what Karen intuitively understood from our home. In particular, she turned our young daughter's room into a dream space for her - it not only looks fantastic but is organized in a way that helps my daughter enjoy her room and her things in a more independent, self-directed way. It is a gift. Her ideas are brilliant. On top of it all, Karen's rates are extremely affordable, particularly as I consider all the benefits of her time and effort.
Description of Work: Organized and made sense of daughter's room, home office, utility areas and storage areas, and several other living spaces.

She evaluated my lifestyle, business needs, personal storage needs and developed a system and placing of all storage items in my home. I did not have counter space in the kitchen, closet space in my bedrooms, and my den was totally dis-organized, as was my basement. She helped me sort through all of my storage items and integrate them into orderly, logical new ways. This took several visits over several days, so that the job would not be overwhelming. I now have counter space in the kitchen, a place to organize all of my paperwork and research books. The den was converted into an additional storage area for clothing. I truly enjoyed her. She is very insightful and drives to make sure that my living spaces match my daily habits and needs. She is very thorough and a pleasure to know and work with. I am so grateful that I was able to find her---she is a treasure!
Description of Work: Organize kitchen, den, bedroom and closets. Organize entire basement storage area. Develop filing system for personal and business files. Develop system for shelving and naming all stored items.

She was very honest and did exactly what she said she was going to do. She followed up on everything. She was here about 10 minutes late, but that wasn?t a matter. She was very fair and knew what she was doing. She did marvelous things in my closet. My closet looks beautiful now. She was very good and I would highly recommend her.

It was wonderful to have a fresh, positive and creative friend come into my madness and help me get through a big hump I just couldn't get myself over. The only thing I regret is that I couldn't afford to have her come and help me rearrange every nook and cranny so that everything is in it's proper 'home' - Karen just placed unrelated items in certain places that I wasn't comfortable with, but I am too much a perfectionist and that's one reason I can't ever start a project, because I'm afraid it won't be perfect. and I know I have to keep telling myself that everything doesn't have to be 'perfect' or I'll never get anything done. I hope to be able to have Karen come back and have her help me set up an office 'system' - I want her to be my lifelong coach to help me be functional and productive. I was hoping she was going to tell me to throw more away than she did, but she just didn't have the time. She drove 45 minutes to get to my house - and so professional, she wouldn't even stop for a drink of water!
Description of Work: Karen came to my home and worked six hours straight helping me tidy up my home. I was more concerned about other parts of the house, but she started out rearranging things in the kitchen, on the countertops and tables and gave me some good ideas, as well as reorganizing my cabinets some. She didn't go through every cabinet or closet because she was only supposed to stay around 4 hours, so she moved on and tackled the biggest mess - in the room where no one could walk. She worked fast and set me up so I can get in there now and go through the rest of the paper piles. She helped carry out boxes I didn't need to keep saving and other trash, along with some items that needed to go into the storage shed. She never took one break and had the most pleasant and personable attitude.

I joined Angie's List with the goal of finding a professional organizer - and I struck gold. I called Karen in a panic - I was having appliance problems & water leaks in my kitchen - the fact that the only storage areas in my house, to move things to, were filled to the brim with junk was just adding to the insanity. My first appointment with her was to work on the laundry room, Success! We accomplished in 4 hours what I hadn't been able to accomplish alone in the last year. Yesterday she was here to work on the basement. Success again. I can now walk through my entire basement and find the things I wanted to keep, on my shelves- there is no longer junk everywhere and I've gained tons of storage space - for the items that I really do want. I've had to show the space off to my friends, and they are incredulous. I really have no idea how she can accomplish all she does, in such a short amount of time. Karen is very professional. Completely respectful of my belongings and any emotions attached to them. She is prompt, fast working and extremely helpful. I'm not sure why I feel so tired after her trips to my house- as she really does almost all the work. If you're reading this review there is a good chance you have the same problems with organization that I do. Believe me when I tell you that Karen has truly been a Godsend. Is it hard to acknowledge that I have to pay someone to do something that I should be able to do on my own? Absolutely. Is it worth the price to hire an organizer? Oh, Heck Yeah!! (she has a coupon on Angie's list - be sure to use it!) I could go on - but I think you get the idea...

Happily ran errands, packed to store items, weeded through any amount of roof full of junk, goods, appliances, art & furniture. Organized quickly & professionally. Work was superb.
Description of Work: Organized kitchen, closets, soft through my stored goods to be donated, auctioned, pitched or recycled. Provided sources upon sources for organizational tools. Also planted garden (flowers) around home for us!

She is very reasonable. She is wonderful to work with, has fabulous manner. She is non-judgmental, upbeat, positive, and highly ethical. Always answers her phone or returns calls quickly. I just can't say enough about this person. She is very effective, she does a tremendous amount of work in a short time.
Description of Work: She helped me make a move. She helped me settle in after the move, provided design consultation, picked up things for me from the store, made up a new filing system, organize my garage, closets, laundry area, children's room. She has also provided landscaping advice.
