JERICHO MOWER SERVICE

We are in the process of trying to put our home on the market and our mower quit working. Argh! I took it into Jericho this evening. First of all, traffic was awful and I realized that I was going to get there a couple of minutes late. Some people would close up anyhow but he did not. I told him the problem and what my husband had done to try to get it working. He immediately took a look at it and made some adjustments that fixed our lawn mower. And I was on my way! I can't tell you how grateful I am!

Found them on Angie's List. Called them to inquire about service on my non-working snow thrower. They gave an estimate. They were helpful, on time, on schedule wit the return. They spent time to explain how to properly maintain the snow thrower going forward.

Did a fine job. Ready when promised.

Jericho repaired a push mower that had been sitting un-used for two years. They did an excellent job.

I stopped in just before close with a mower that would not start. They took a quick look at it, replaced a spark plug and the mower was working again. I was very happy they were able to service the mower so close to closing time. I was also greatful I did not have to turn the mower in for service and wait a few weeks to get it back.

Great - they did the job in 1 day, also power washed my mower and wore brushed and repainted the mower handle that had become rusty. The mower looked like new again! They were much faster and at or below price of where I previously took my mower and gave the extra cleaning/painting service I was not expecting.

They gave us a time they would arrive to pick up the mower. We made plans to be there, yet they showed up several HOURS later with no phone call informing us they would be late. They were days late returning the mower, but at least called to say "they were swamped and running behind". In the meantime, we had to hire a company to cut our grass twice! Once they returned the mower, it would not start. They came back for it and returned it a couple of days later in working condition.

Did not use. quit asking.

Jericho notified us that the snow blower needed a new carburetor and the total amount would now be approximately $225.00 instead of $59.00. We were already out the $59, which they didn't offer to return, and we debated spending the additional, but went ahead with the repairs. I think they gave a 60 or 90 day warranty on the repair. The winter of 2011/2012 was one of the warmest in years. We only had a couple of small snows that melted quickly and weren't deep enough to require a snow blower. I'm not sure my husband even used the snow shovel. Consequently the snow blower wasn't used during the warranty repair period. When we did get a significant enough snow in the winter of 2012/2013, the snow blower would not work again. It acted just like it had before the repair. My husband would try to start it, but it wouldn't run. It would sound like it was trying to start, but it wouldn't actually start; it would just die as soon as he let off the button. So, we were out over $225, the repair warranty period had expired, and we still had a snow blower that wouldn't operate when we needed it. If we had known this would be the result, we never would have purchased the original Big Deal or paid the extra for the repair.

They did a good job! They came and picked it up, and did a good job tuning it up and getting it ready for the winter!

They did a good job. The mower worked like new when I got it back. They were conveniently located.

I found them on Angie's List. They picked them up on Monday and returned them the following Monday. All mowers were cleaned and they did a nice job on them.

Service was great and the folks at Jerico's were very friendly. I would definitely use them again and look forward to the next Angie's List deal.

Spoke with staff briefly before deciding to proceed, received assurances regarding the work. I transported the mower myself (as expected). Work completed in the time frame I'd agreed to. Only outstanding fee was the (state/county) sales tax. Mower worked fine (better than before), plus a missing part (to brace the handle) was provided at no cost.

Tune up was done and lawnmower (Honda) was very hard to start. Took back to Jerico, Jerry said couldn't find anything wrong with mower, he had no problem starting? Brought home and still hard to start. I had several neighbors (much younger and stronger) try to start, they had as much dificulty as I did. I called American Honda and took mower to Honda East for second opinion which concurred there was a carburator problem. Took back to Jerico and they found other problems besides carburator.

On my last mow of the year (hopefully), there was a big puff of black smoke from the mower engine, followed by oil dripping everywhere. The tube the dipstick goes in had cracked completely through. The repair shop I had previously used had gone out of business again so I turned to Angie's List and found Jericho nearby. Brought the mower in and they said they had the part in stock and could fix it within the week. It was due for a tune-up as well and they said they would not charge me labor for the repair if I did the tune-up too. It was completed in less than a week, they called me to tell me when it was done, and when I picked it up it looked brand new. It was so clean my son asked me if they had painted it! I especially like their convenient hours - they are open Saturdays until 3PM. I haven't priced a mower tune-up in awhile so I don't know how their price compares, but since I got the repair and tune up done for less than I was anticipating the repair to cost, I was satisfied with the price. I would definitely use them again.

The whole experience was good. I dropped the mower off and since it was the off season; I was in no hurry. They had it done in a couple of weeks and called when complete.

My snowblower will be next!

I called Jericho Mower service after I obtained their name off of Angie's list. Our mower had a flat rear tire. They were absolutely great. Our mower is older but still runs good however I was concerned if worth fixing. The gentleman I talked with said it was definitely worth fixing as the engine was in good shape. The tire could not be patched so they put on a used one and also a used wheel because the original could not be removed without damaging it. They put new blades on since our were bent and then cleaned the engine and mower so well the engine part looks new. It runs better then it has in a long time. I normally have it tuned up once a year but this was the first time I used this company and they did such a fantastic job I will use them for now on. I like the fact they will fix an older mower and not encourage you to replace. Also, they worked quickly so I could get the mower back since I still need it for more mowings before winter. They told me it is good to go for the rest of this season and next summer. Thank you again for such great service.

All three worked great over the summer. I thought I might have to junk the rototiller, but it starts on the first pull every time now.

Used an Angie's list deal. Took it in during the winter, so I really didn't need it in a hurry. Staff was friendly, work was good, and they called when they said it would be ready. I would use them again. Felt like the Angie's List deal was a good value for work performed.
