The salesperson came to my house and informed me he could do a complete remodel of each bathroom for $40,000, As I had explained on the original call to them, I just needed the shower conversion, tub replacement, and re-tile. He said (without doing any measurements) the cost would be $10,00 per bathroom. It was obvious to me he was not really interested in the work since I did not want a complete remodel. He wasted my time. This guy was so unprofessional I would never recommend this company.
Description of Work: Convert tub to shower in one bathroom, and replace tun and re-tile in another bathroom.

Please accept our apologies for the experience you had with our salesperson. Our normal process is to schedule an initial meeting in your home to gather measurements and information and then schedule a second meeting in our showroom to select materials so we can put an estimate together. We handle many projects that are not complete remodels and we're sorry that our salesperson gave you the impression that we only handle complete remodels. We have discussed this with your salesperson to insure that this will not happen in the future. Please contact Kevin McCloskey at 937-299-5201 if I can be of further assistance.

Quality of work was Excellent. Love the new tile, and the quality of the work. Interactions with the salesman were difficult. Spent hours in the showroom with him. Wrote a check which they electronically processed for $2,000 more than the check was written for!!! The product is wonderful, interactions were difficult.

They showed up when they said they would and finished on time. The results are exactly what I was hoping for and I am thrilled with the results. I would definitely use them for any other projects I need a contractor's expertise on.

I didn't hire them. They quoted me $7500 to finish tiling and some drywall work. They told me they would have to tear our the mud pan than I had already poured because it wasn't perfectly smooth. The other handy man I hired simply, poured a new layer of mortar over the existing to make it smooth. He finished everything Craftsman Home Improvements quoted my $7500 for only $800 and it looks great!!! So glad I didn't throw my money away with these guys,

Description of Work: Gave us an estimate on kitchen remodel. Design ideas were excellent. Price was quite a bit more than another company. We were on time for an appointment, but had to wait over half an hour.

We contracted Craftsmen Home Improvements to perform a complete remodel of our master bathroom. Our 7 day job turned into a 7 month project. The initial subcontractor worked the first week of the project and the quality of work was terrible. The tile job in the shower was horrendous with the tile on the floor not much better. Light fixtures over the sinks were not centered properly and an outlet that was moved was installed to where the countertop covered the outlet to where we could not get a full cover plate on the outlet. When we pointed out all of the issues, the subcontractor quit the job. We met with the sales person and pointed out all the problems. The second worker attempted to fix the tile job in the shower by removing some of the tile and re-grouting others which made the tile job worse. Some of the floor tiles had to be pulled up and re-installed. However, the grout for the floor tiles did not match. At this point we contacted a manager and requested the second worker not be allowed to continue. These first two workers did very little to protect the carpet and furniture in the house, which became covered in plaster and debris. The garage where they cut a lot of items was seldom cleaned at the end of the day. They cut the bathroom tile in the front yard and left several cut pieces of tile in then grass, never cleaning the area. A third subcontractor was sent to our house and corrected a lot of the issues with the electrical box installs. He had to stain the grout of the floor tile so it matched throughout the floor. Attempts at repairing the shoddy tile work in the shower were unsuccessful. We actually contacted our own tile company who came out and viewed the shower and stated the work was unacceptable to their standards. We met again with the management of Craftsmen. The result of this meeting was that they stated the shower was as good as it could get and they would give us a gift card to a restaurant for our trouble. This was unacceptable and we decided to withhold the final payment for the job. About 10 minutes after the owners left, they returned to our house and offered to completely tear out then shower tile and replace it. We agreed to this plan. A fourth subcontractor came to our house and completed the tear out and re-install of the shower tile in 5 days. With the job complete, we anticipated a walk through of the job by Craftsmen management, but that walk through never occurred. One week after completion of the shower they charged our credit card for the balance of the job without our knowledge, never contacting us to schedule a final walk through or notifying us that they were putting the charge on our card. We found the charge when we viewed our monthly statement. We were extremely disappointed in the quality of work performed and the time it took to complete the job. We would not hire this company again.

It was a wonderful experience. My front roof was replaced professionally, and my rear roof was repaired in the wind-damaged areas.
Description of Work: I had a Craftsmen representative present when my insurance adjuster arrived. He got on my roof with the adjuster and the two of them worked side by side looking for storm damage to the front and rear of my roof. It was determined that the front needed to be replaced and the Craftsmen rep and I pointed out several issues with the rear of the roof that had happened since Hurricane Ike when that portion of the roof had been replaced. Afterwards, the adjuster gave me a check for $1790, because he figured that's what insurance should cover. I have to pay an additional $500 because that's my deductible. The Craftsmen rep agreed to a lower figure than he first calculated, but I still needed to pay $117 above my deductible. I now have a beautiful roof and it looks so much better than the rear roof that insurance paid for in 2008 after Ike. That job was done by Murrell. The job was done in about an hour in sweltering heat. Two layers of shingles were removed. I am very proud of the beautiful work that they did. They cleaned up their mess and left all extra roofing and nails that I had paid for. Couldn't be happier. I signed the contract on June 19, and the job was done on July 5. Nobody pressured me into anything either. I highly recommend that you call a contractor to meet with you and the insurance adjustor. I didn't do that in 2008 and there were more damages that I discovered later, and it was too late to file more claims without looking like a crook. After having the repairs that insurance paid for in 2008, we discovered that our sliding glass doors leaked and won't open and close properly since a tree hit our house. I didn't have a problem with them until after the next heavy storm.

Thank you for the great review. This was a very challenging time for us and for our clients with all of the storm damage. We were happy to help you through the claim and installation process.
