Called this business based on the excellent reports on Angie's list - was not disappointed. They scheduled my appointment on the date I needed, arrived on time, were very professional yet friendly and did a much better job than the "chain" cleaners I have had in the past (plus you can count on consistency, since this is a small, local business with personnel who stay with the company). They even "spot cleaned" a high traffic area in my dining room - didn't have to pay for the whole room since they charge by the square foot, not by the room. I would most definitely hire them again.

I have 5 cats and 2 dogs and the carpet gets a rough workout, lots of stains, kind of stinky. I have used Burlews twice now and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Both times they pre-treated stains, elevated all of the furniture onto little styrofoam blocks, cleaned the carpet and then treated with Scotchguard or something similar. The results were far better than I expected, I was prepared to remove the carpet and the stain resistant treating has made cleaning subsequent accidents very easy. They were very professional and I felt the price was reasonable. I don't remember exactly what I spent, but I do remember that it was in line with the estimate. I'll be having them come again in a couple of months and will continue to use them in the future. Great company!

I contacted Mr Burlew after reading his excellent reviews on Angie's list. I was moving at the time and needed 2 area rugs picked up from my old home, cleaned and delivered to my new address prior to my moving into my new apartment a week later. He was very friendly and told me that he could do what I wanted within the time frame allotted. On the date appointed for pick-up he arrived on time. One of my rugs was in a small room with a lot of furniture. He was able to deftly move the furniture and remove the carpet without issue. I apologized to him for the added work ( I could not move the furniture myself due to handicap), but he said that it was just part of his job, and cheerfully went about his business. One week later we made an appointment at my new home and he placed both clean rugs exactly as I wanted them. Both rugs were cleaned expertly and looked very nice. His fee was extremely fair for the service he provided. I will definitely call him again.

Mr. Burlew was easy to reach for estimate. He took the time to come out an give us a exact estimate. On the day of the cleaning I received a call to see if they could come early and they did. Mark and Matt showed up and were very courteous and professional. We walked through the house to make sure we were in agreemtnt with what was to be cleaned. They went about their business in a professional matter and completed the job in an excellent fashion. As with many cleanerss they didn't try to sell "additional" services or products. I would highly recommend this company.

I didn't really have very high hopes for the carpet, which is off-white in all rooms. As I expected, he warned that he probably couldn't get all of the stains out. However, the carpets look far, far better than I ever would have guessed. He did a very thorough job, and is far better than the chain cleaners I have employed in the past. I was thinking about replacing the carpeting, because it looked so bad. I'm very glad I called Berlew's instead.

They did a wonderful job. They came out for the first time around and we had some spots that didn't come out well. Mr. Burlew's himself came and finished off the job, he was very pleasant. I would say they did a superb job and I would definitely call him again.

He gave me an estimate and picked up the carpet for me same day. He gave me a time when I would get them back. They look beautiful and I couldn't be more pleased. He was pleasant and was very personable. I will use them again and would give them my highest recommendation.

The owner came out on Monday morning to provide an estimate and on Friday morning the work was done! One thing I really liked was that I was provided with very specific times for both the estimate and the work - in other words, I was not given a several-hour window that would have required me to take a lot of time off work. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and professional, and our carpet looks great! All stains, including one very stubborn one that I could not get out no matter how hard I tried are all gone.

I had a tenant moving in soon and needed the carpets cleaned. I called a different company but after 5 days of nothing happening, I gave up on them and came to Angies List to find someone who would get the work done. Burlew's not only got the work done quickly, they were willing to fit me into their schedule at the last minute. I was up against a deadline with the tenant moving in that evening and the carpets were dirty. I'm switching all my business over to these guys. They delivered where another company did not. They even honored the discount coupon although it is no longer valid and they have a 15% discount instead.

I spoke with the owner by phone and he came to my house to give a quote the next day. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and most importantly, he was candid about the fact that some of the carpet, being very dirty and of low quality, probably could not be gotten 100% clean. The appointment was 6 days later. They arrived about 45 minutes late, they did call me to let me know they were running late. While cleaning they were polite and very thorough, including going over the stairs 3 times and giving special attention to some stubborn spots. The cleaning was done by the owner and one other guy. They charged me the same amount as was quoted, and the owner's time estimate was spot on. When they were finished the carpets looked a lot better than I expected. The price was pretty good considering the quality of the work. I am very pleased with the job they did.

Very pleased with the work performed. Carpets look great despite some wear in high traffic areas. Both gentlemen were friendly, courteous and answered my questions in full. They arrived on time and took less than two hours to complete the work. No hidden charges or expensive add on's like with other companies I've used in the past. We opted for fabric protector in the high traffic areas which was included in the quote. $192.00 was what Mr Burlew quoted and $192.00 is what we were charged. Mr Burlew offers a $50.00 discount to Angie's list members. Will definitely use Burlew's again.

I could not believe how good everything looked after the process was completed. Yes our carpet is worn but these guys made it look like a million bucks, right in time for the holidays. They were so polite and helpful, giving me suggestions for possibilities for our next carpet purchase and ways to prolong the life of the carpet we currently have. They left the house in great shape with no clean up responsibilities for me. Thanks gentlemen.

Mr. Burlew has always been responsive to phone calls. They did an excellent job. Crew is courteous and on time.

They are very reasonable. They also take some rugs with them and clean it for me. I have been using them for more than 3 years. They come on time and do what they say they will. I am very pleased with them. They also move the furniture and clean.

My carpets and area rugs had not been cleaned in several years. Burlew's came and gave me an estimate and I set up to have the work done. They arrived on time to pick up my area rugs. They were very careful in moving the furniture and likewise when they returned the cleaned rugs, they were very careful in laying them to my satisfaction, even turning them so that the wear would be even.. They also cleaned all my wall to wall carpeting. Everything looked great when the work was completed.

My new area rug had excessive dyes in it, and I discovered my fairly new carpet was being ruined by this rug. I called the carpet manufacturer because I thought the warranty would cover this. Apparently Mohawk does not cover these kinds of stains. My only shot was getting it cleaned professionally. Bob Burlew came out and worked and worked on that carpet until 99% of the dyes were cleaned out of the carpet. It is now as good as new. Then he took my area rug to his shop and gave it a bath to remove the excess dyes, and then when he brought it back it he applied a sticky backing to protect the carpet. They are incredibly nice, dependable, professional and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They did a great job!! One room had pet stains and they were able to remove most of those. The estimate matched the invoice and the two gentlemen who performed the work called before they arrived (early!), worked professionally and efficiently and cleaned up before they left. I would definitely hire Burlew's again. They also offer an Angies' List coupon!

The experience was a pleasant one. Upon arrival, we walked through the house so that I could point out the areas that I wanted cleaned as well as any spots that I was concerned with. The guys were here for about 4 hours and cleaned everything beautifully - all of the areas that I had been concerned with were cleaned very well! I asked about carpet stretching in multiple areas and was provided an estimate for this service as well as an explanation on what would be involved should I decide to schedule the work. I am very pleased with the way my carpets turned out and although the price was higher than expected I will definitely use Burlew's again in the future.

I called Burlew's after reading the comments about them on Angie's List. When I called I spoke directly with Bob Burlew, the owner. I asked him to come out to look at my carpets and tell me honestly, if they could get the spots out. He came over and gave me a free estimate. He did not pressure me in any way to commit that day and asked if I needed to discuss it with my husband. I told him to go ahead and we set a date for the following week. Two guys came out during the bad weather (snow and ice) to do the job. I have wood flooring in my foyer so I wasn't concerned about the weather and the mess. They cleaned all the carpets that were previously agreed to. I did have them clean my stairs after speaking to one of the cleaners. It wasn't that much extra and they really did need it. He also talked to me about puting a sealant on the carpets to help keep them clean longer. I decided to do that also. He said that the next time, if they cleaned my carpets again, the cost for the sealant would be half that amount. The carpets look great so far. I know that we need to keep them up by cleaning them regularly now. The workers were also very neat. They left no mess. I wanted to mention two other things. My study carpet is in bad shape. Mr. Burlew told me to have only the first part of the carpet cleaned and not to bother with the other half by the desk. They were able to make the front part of the carpet look great. As he said, it buys me some time before I replace that carpet. The other thing is that the snow plow had deposited more snow at the end of my cleared off driveway. One of the cleaners obviously had his own shovel and he asked me if I would like him to clear that snow away and he did it! I like dealing with smaller companies a lot because I feel that they are more responsive to you than large companies. They really want your business and your repeat business.

Overall the experience went well. Prompt estimate. Showed up on time and it took them about 4 hrs to finish the job. Originally sent 2 employees to start then the owner, Bob, came out himself to oversee the project and assist with doing the tile work. Very friendly and paid close attention to detail. In fact, there was one small area of concern that Bob personally came back twice to take care of, no questions asked. I think that's the difference between a small business owner and working with a larger company. I highly recommend them and will probably use them annually.
