Description of Work: As the distributor of Kohler whole house generators, Buckeye Power Sales is the priciest electrical contractor I have ever used. They charge for travel time and mileage before arriving at a residence. Based on ~75 miles from their main office to my home, I was informed I would have to pay almost $400.00 for them to just show up. When I purchased the generator their yearly maintenance contract offer was too expensive for my budget so I have used an authorized Kohler electrical service instead that does the same work for about 40% of BPS's pricing.

Description of Work: The receptionist wouldn't quote a price for the service call but indicated the repairman was only four miles from my house. Two hours later the man came stating he came from two counties away and I was charged from the minute he was called plus $2.50 per mile of travel. He was on the job for less than fourty-five minutes and only had to adjust two screws. I didn't find out until a week later what my charges were since I left the next day on vacation. I called the manager to dispute the outrageous bill for what service was provided. He was rude and refused to adjust the service fee. The receptionist failed to tell the truth that she did not provide accurate billing costs to allow me to make a more educated decision before giving them my charge card number, which they required before sending the repairman.
