Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Cincinnati

Great experience from start to finish. I called to get an estimate, based on Angie's List reviews of this company. They had someone out here within a couple days. The salesman was Keith - he did such a thorough job looking over the roof, spent a lot of time up there. He wrote the estimate the same day- and it was extremely thorough. Everything was spelled out in detail, so I knew exactly what they would do. They also tell you how much a board or piece of plywood will cost installed, so you know ahead of time in case they run across rotted boards. Luckily I only needed one or two replaced, so it was only $40 over the initial estimate. Keith gave me a lot of options; I told him that I had put off replacing the roof, hoping to sell this house, but with the market being down so much, I'll probably be here a few more years. He gave me a lot of options that I could choose from- whether to add the ice dam barrier (which I did choose) or whether I wanted a ridge vent (which I didn't choose.) Also the standard three-tab shingles versus the dimensional (I chose the dimensional, which was about $750 option, but well worth it.) At the time of estimate, Keith gave me a lot of information on the warranty of both materials and labor. He also provided me with addresses of homes that all the colors of shingles they install, so I could view them on a house instead of just a small sample. That was extremely helpful, and while looking at one house, the owner came out the told me what a great job they had done on his house. Installation took place about two weeks after I signed the contract. The people in the office were easy to deal with and very helpful with my questions. The crew arrived after I had already left the house for an appointment; when I came home they already had most of the old shingles torn off. I was in and out all day (beleive me, you don't want to be home when people are scraping your old roof off, it's pretty noisy) but when I returned around 4:00 pm, most of the new roof was on and looked fantastic. They were still finishing up the house, and also the garage. The last couple hours were spent perfecting the flashing around my two chimneys, and also cleaning up. As beautiful as the roof looks, I think I was most impressed with their clean-up of my yard and surrounding areas. I even saw a worker in the back yard digging through my Hosta plants picking up nails. Now, that's attention to detail! Maybe the highest compliment I can pay them is that my next-door neighbor was home all day and watched them install the roof. He has been a contractor for over 30 years and he said watching them was like "poetry in motion." They worked their butts off, did everything perfect and also added he didn't know what I paid for that roof, but he was sure I got my money's worth! And pretty amazing that they did it all in one day. I am sure I could have gotten a cheaper roof and installation from other companies, but I didn't think this was a decision based totally on price. If I am still living here in five or ten years, I will be glad I had it DONE RIGHT and not be trying to chase down a company that leaves town as soon as you need them. Highly recommend this company!

The whole process went well. Keith, who estimated the job, was on time and explained everything. After signing the bid, I waited 3 weeks for the work to be done (1 week due to rain). The large crew got to my home at 8:30 am and finished about 5pm. They cleaned up very well. The crew was primarily Spanish-speaking, although the crew chief spoke English. The job supervisor was present the whole time and explained everything that was being done. I was very pleased with the work.

They showed up on time with maybe six to eight guys. They were very organized and the job only took one afternoon. I was very pleased with the finished work and will recommend them to others.

We called for an estimate based on Angie's list reviews. Louis came out to give the estimate and took a great deal of time on our roof putting together a detailed estimate for all of the requested items. As the original estimate was given to me, my husband called Louis after the fact and he was happy to go over all of the details with him as well. Although Bone Dry's estimate came in a little higher than some of the others we decided to go with them as they seemed to be much more professional and we got the impression that there was a focus on quality. We had our roof done by the lowest bidder on our last house and wound up with a nail gun shot through our a/c hose and debris stored in our attic. Ultimately, the insurance wound up coming UP to bone dry's estimate for the roof. The skylights, etc. were not covered by the insurance, so some things were paid out of pocket. Scheduling was very easy. The best part is that the job was done in a single day and looked fantastic once done. They went around with a magnet to get any left over nails or pieces of debris in the yard which was wonderful as we have 3 small kids. We would definitely use them again and recommend to others!

Great job. Company was very punctual on all appointments. Price quoted was honored; also received an Angie's list $200 discount. Very good job with a life-time warranty on roof. Would definitely use Bone Dry again and highly recommend them.

Called for estimate, told that one could only be given after inspection but not to worry - no cost to inspect - and no obligation ,arrived at agreed time ( same day) and I explained the problem, he knew of the solution and had repair parts on his truck - quoted a fair price and immediately went to work - in a very short time he was done and gone. Very satisfied.

Excellent customer service. Mike is great to work with and always reliable. I have used Bone Dry Roofing for various issues and was never disappointed with the results. Will be my first go-to address for a roof replacement when the time has come. I can recommend Mike and Bone Dry without hesitation!

These guys are top notch. When we first discovered the leak in June, Bone Dry sent a contractor to make an emergency repair on Friday evening. He battled through some tough rainstorms and returned on Saturday to fashion a temporary solution. Bone Dry promptly provided estimates for our insurance company, which were accepted without further inquiry. Upon receiving authorization from the insurance company, Bone Dry was able to quickly schedule an appointment and make the necessary repairs. The interior renovations were performed by a separate division within the company, and those folks took great care to ensure that the bedroom was fully restored to its working condition. We have used Bone Dry for chimney, roof and drywall repair, and will only consider them in the future. They are every bit as good as advertised.

The problem persisted, and they came back out several times and finally were able to stop the leak after a near complete replace. We were very happy with how it all turned out, and they went above and beyond to correct the problem as well as repaired some of the water damage from the persisting leak. We assumed that we would have to find someone to repair the water damage, but they gave us a steep discount to repair it since they felt obligated due to the repair on the roof that had not corrected the leak initially.

I called Bone Dry on Wednesday to have someone check our roof after noticing water stains in two different locations in our home. They would have had someone here the following day, but we had previous plans. Mike from Bone Dry was here on Friday morning a 9:00am . It turned out to be a relatively simple fix, but we were very impressed with the service we received. My call to Bone Dry was handled courteously and professionally. The service was done quickly and on time. Mike took the time to discuss other issues with our roof . He also left us with useful information regarding roof replacement which is a few years away. We will most certianly call Bone Dry when that becomes necessary.

Overall the work was carried out very well. The crew worked as a team. The were pleasant and VERY hard working. Any problems we had were handle quickly. Having dogs in the household could present problems with roofing nails left behind. The crew took extra care locating fallen nails. The supervisor was very knowledgeable. I will not fear leaks any more.

I called and requested an estimate / inspection of the chimney to determine why the leak when ever it rained fairly hard. Bone Dry sent out one man to inspect. He climbed on the roof and also reviewed where the leak came into the basement and advised that it could be a combination of factors. 1st). Seal the top and sides of the chimney (the crown was in good conditional but needed to be sealed - 10 years old) 2nd) Replace the flashing at the base due to the age and the fact that it was a cement seal. They would replace the flashing with new and seal with silicone type sealer. They sent out another man to inspect the flashing and reconfirm the appropriate fix. They were professional and on time. The total price was good for the work. The work was completed in two steps, one for the sealant and a separate one for the flashing. They took their time and did the job right. They performed the work sooner than advised. It has rained very hard since the work was completed and not a drop of water leak inside. I recommend their services for chimney repair. I had obtained another estimate that was much higher and only involved replacing the crown.

They replaced all the cementing between the bricks. They also did other brick work on my house.

Came out to give estimate came early, was quick. Didn't try to sell me for work I didn't need.

With the rain we had this spring, I had water leaking into my house. I had the roofing division perform some repairs, but it was unclear at the time whether the issue was the roof or the chimney. Problems persisted so I got estimates for masonry work. Bone Dry had the best bid, and I had been impressed with their work on the roof. The work took a couple days, given the scope of the job. They were very professional about explaining the timeline (the sealant had to be applied a few weeks later so the concrete would have time to cure.) I had noticed some other issues after getting the initial estimate and they were able to help with those problems as well. I think the work looks great and I have gotten a lot of compliments, and they were incredibly easy to deal with-- easy to get hold of them, and very friendly and professional when we spoke. It took a while from getting the bid accepted to starting work, but I can't fault them for being popular! I think that, with the quality of work they did, I won't need any masonry work done for a few decades, but I'd call them again if I do!

We were very pleased. Their bid was in the middle. They were very professional acting. They did what they said they were going to do. They were easy to work with. They did a really great job. Their guys were so professional. They were so prepared in case it rained. They were very conscientious in their cleanup. They were very safety oriented as they worked. They were very nice to talk to and work with. They did some extra things and didn’t change their price. They were in the ballpark regarding price. They just finished and they have one more thing to do. They were very responsive. The workers were here and already working when the foreman called to say that he was on his way. We told him that they were already here working and he was very pleased. The people across the street were getting their roof done and their foreman told his guys to look to see that these guys were already working and that their coffee break was over.

Bone Dry did a great job. We were very happy from start to finish. They didn't hard-sell us, and they gave us all the information we needed to make a decision, allowing us to hold onto their shingle samples for several weeks. Their sales process was a breeze and they were very open and transparent when we discussed the roof replacement. They waited patiently for us to decide and never put any pressure on us. Once we made the decision, they still were able to schedule us within a couple weeks. They dropped off the shingles the day before the job. I love how they attack the roof job, bringing lots of labor to the job site with the objective being to complete the job in one day. They did that, and it was a ninety-five degree day, too. It had to be a difficult day to replace a high, two-story, multiple-level roof, but they got it done, and their foreman worked 'til about 8pm to wrap up and correct anything until I was satisfied. I was impressed with the level of customer service they displayed, not leaving until I was happy with the job. They cleaned up extremely well. I still haven't happened upon a loose nail in the yard. The roof looks great and we are extremely satisfied. I'm looking forward to putting that project in the rear-view mirror and not worrying about our roof any longer. I wholeheartedly recommend Bone Dry. If you want a high-quality job and are willing to work with a professional group of people that care very much about customer satisfaction, you'll be happy with them.

It took them two days. He did a fantastic job. He was very cooperative. They also gave an estimate for gutters and downspouts. They were like ants; they were all over the place.

It was a very long appointment. I think he was trying to be more thorough than anything was, and I appreciate that part of it. The only part I ended up not doing because it was a very high estimate. I didn't have anything to compare it to. He was asking me what I thought the problem was. He even got to a point where he called my husband asking what he thought the problem was. He went off for that until we came to a conclusion. I felt that he was trying to ask for the solution for what I called him for. They had to back out from the first time with the appointment because they told the guy who would come out had some truck mechanical problems. During the appointment time, he was there.

Bone Dry is great to deal with- so professional. They go the extra length, in my opinion. For example, we were pressed for time, and they happened to be doing a job in my subdivision. So they had two from that job break away and take care of my roof. Very impressed all the way around.

Very easy company to work with, they walk you thru the process from start to finish. I am a middle aged single woman who has limited knowledge about roofing. They took the time, were patient with my countless question and calls to make sure I was please with the product and the process. The company stands behind there work an they believe in the products they sell to you the customer. Connie the office manager needs to clone herself because she is so fabulous and juggles so many jobs. Thanks for making the 1948 in Evendale look even better and my heating and cooling bills drop a significant amount with this new roof and venting system.

Bone Dry Roofing is a first class operation and they proved it from start to finish. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable. All phone calls were returned promptly. Everyone was on time from initial visit to quote to second visit with samples to the day the job was performed. Any questions were answered in detail to my and my wife's satisfaction. The job was completed in one day with time to spare. All our plants, flowers, and bushes were well protected and clean up was done superbly. My wife and I are very pleased with our selection and the house looks great. There were no surprises during or after the job. The invoicing was as quoted and all warranties were explained in detail. I highly recommend Bone Dry Roofing if one needs re- shingling. I would use their services if anything else were to come up down the road.

The company material that they had given us in the quote was good. That included a list of houses with different colors giving us roofing choices so that you can drive by and actually see how the colors looked on the roof instead of the small samples. I appreciated that. Their materials seemed very professional. They also had something about them being one of the more green companies because of the re-cycling shingles. That caught my eye. They got very good reviews from Angies List too. Those are all the factors I guess. The workers were fine. My husband worked with the guy who did the quote because our roof had certain unique features. Bone Dry Roofing Inc allowed us to create some different options from the original estimator had used based on my husband’s knowledge of our house. Our roof is somewhat receding and unless you have been inside the third floor you may not understand exactly how the roof is built. So the estimator worked with my husband to come up with an estimate based on the particular work that my husband wanted done which was not the work which was originally prepared. I would recommend this company to everyone. The roof looks good and it seems to be fine. There was minimal plant damage that I was disappointed with. In the grand scheme of things we are happy. I just happened to love my plants. The working supervisor who was around here was extremely polite and very professional. We liked him. He kept us informed of their schedule and delays. There was a tragic accident on the second day they were supposed to be here and this accident had shut down all the roads in this area for a long time. The Bone Dry workers were stuck in the traffic and we were expecting them and they did not show up. But he took the extra step to call and kept us informed of progress and when to expect them, what to expect and he answered all our questions during the process. The working supervisor was excellent.

After one of this spring's big storms we lost some of the shingles. When I called Bone Dry Roofing the woman on the phone was very courteous and accomodating she really tried to get something scheduled within the week I called, but due to my schedule we pushed it to the following Monday. Keith came out and examined the entire roof for damage, not just the area that lost shingles. It was very reassuring when he told us that overall the roof was in very good condition. He quoted us the price for the shingles and we got a discount for finding them through Angie's List! Within a week one of the roofers was out at the house and replaced the shingles and repaired some other shingles and this was in 90 degree weather. He was done very quickly and that was it. I would recommend them for anyone with roofing needs.
