Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Cincinnati

The overall experience turned out to be quite pleasant. On the day the actual job was performed we had misunderstading regarding what exactly was to be done, however, we worked through that and the job was completed satisfactorily. I would use Bone Dry again to perform my roofing work.

Workers arrived as scheduled. Seemed to work quickly and efficiently. Sufficient number of workers were on the job to complete in one day. Good cleanup after the job was finished.

Impressed with promptness, and professionalism.

They were really good. I don't live in town and they emailed me pictures daily of the progress. Everything went well and they cleaned up so it was a good experience. They're very professional and do a good job.

The estimator showed up shortly after we contacted them and reviewed his estimate with us in detail. He scheduled an appointment to fix the problem within 10 days. They were very busy because the storm impacted lots of people in the area. They showed up to fix the roof on the promised day and completed the job to my satisfaction. I had to call the office to ask a question about my bill after the work was done. They were responsive, quick and friendly.

We had some cracked bricks and mortar on the front of our house, so I contacted Bone Dry Masonry in November 2012. We had used Bone Dry Roofing for some roof repairs last year and were very satisfied with their work,professionalism, and responsiveness. I was told someone from their masonry dept. would contact me & come out and take a look at the repairs needed and give us a time for the work to be done. No one contacted me so in 2 weeks I called back - the woman I spoke to apologized for that, and put me in touch with the masonry department. By this time it was close to Christmas, so I knew the work wouldn't be done right away, which was fine. The person I spoke with said that weather permitting, they would do the work the week after Christmas. They finally showed up around Jan. 12 - no phone call, the way I found out they were there was that I was startled by the sound of power tools outside! No one ever came to the door or called to say they were there to do the work, but I was pleased they were there. At some point in the afternoon it began to rain and they left - I assumed they would be back to finish the work when the weather cleared. However, I recieved a bill in the mail saying the work had been finished, so I called to say there was an area that hadn't been repaired. They apologized & said they would send someone out to finish the repairs, which they did about a week later. I was surprised when a representative of the company came by the house the following week to ask for payment, saying the bill was due a month before - I reminded him that they had just finished the work and I would send him a check. They finished the work fine, but I didn't appreciate all the delays and lack of responsiveness (although they were VERY responsive when it came to collecting their money). I was also surprised at how different this experience was from my experience with Bone Dry Roofing - same company, very different responsiveness & professionalism.

i was very pleased with the work. i had had 2 other companies try to fix my my leak but failed. i should have called Bone Dry to begin with.

We had a leaking skylight and called a few companies to receive an estimate. Keith from Bone Dry Roofing came to the house to give us an estimate. He pointed out the problem but would only give an estimate on replacing the skylight and not repairing it. Because of the cost, we chose to go with a different company who would repair, rather than replace the skylight. Keith was very professional and informative.

It went very easy.I called and was answered immediately. I advised them what I needed and an immediate appointment was set. .They arrived on time for the apointment and I found the individual vey knowledgeable and easy to communicate with.They had to return for a second day to give me an estimate, because of the snowstorm. They will return in a few dayswhen the weather permits.All in all it was a very satisactory experience so far. I will advise you how it goes from here. RF

Only problem was during clean up, workers walked on Aluminum patio cover to old retrieve roof shingles and caused cover to leak. Didn't realize there was a problem until after warranty expired.

Great customer service. Showed him my problem. He assessed and determined it is not a gutter/roofing problem. He did not charge me for the service call and offered a few ideas on what could be causing the problem.

They were very good. I am not sure if they're about price but they were very good. They were quick in everything so it works out well. I think they basically give me a price quickly and what he said he's gonna be there. He showed up, did the job and clean up well.

They responded quickly to my phone call. The estimate and subsequent service were performed in a timely and professional manner. There was no upselling. They were exactly punctual. Nice guys. I recommend them.

Things did not start out well. Over a half hour after the appointment time they had given me for the estimate I finally called Bone Dry to see why no one was here yet. I was told that the guy who was supposed to do the estimate had not shown up for work and they were just then getting ready to send someone else out. I realize things like this happen but thought it was strange that they had not decided to do anything about it until well past the appointment time and had not called to tell me they were running so late. Tim, the guy who finally showed up was very nice and their approach to the repairs seemed pretty straight forward and appropriate for my modest little house. Their bid was also significantly less than the others I got so I decided to use Bone Dry. Tim as it turned out only did the crown coat and waterproofing coats which seemed fine but the repointing was done by another team on a cold drizzly day and I was not very impressed with the quality of that work. I could see that a few of the horizontal seams had not been repointed and when I asked, Tim told me these were not important as long as the up and down seams were fixed. I also noticed when I went up to inspect the work that a broken brick on the back side of the chimney had not been replaced as Tim had told me it would be and that the repointers had simply smeared a bit of concrete over the broken face. I had not gotten this in writing so I decided to let it slide. There was also a large gap between the flashing and chimney at one place that looked like a piece of brick was missing there also, leaving a hole behind the edge of the flashing that I pointed out to Tim. He said it would not be a problem and he would fill this with caulk when he did the seal coats. It was a fairly large hole so I feel this was not a very long term solution but was getting the feeling that he was finding my concerns irritating by now. What concerned me the most was that I had to ask Tim twice to hold off on applying the crown coat and waterproofing coat until the brick and new mortar had a chance to dry out. During most of the time this work was being done the weather had been cold and rainy and I felt that applying a sealant over a damp surface was not a good idea. The weather had been a problem from the beggining and they seemed to be rushing the job. Tim finally agreed to wait until a dry day to finish the job and all I can do is hope the chimneys are now actually well sealed and I will not have anymore trouble with the porous brick wicking moisture down into the house causing any further ceiling sags. Although Tim was very nice, overall my experience forces me to say 'you get what you pay for'.

They gave us prices for repair on a garage roof and for a new house roof. Their prices were a lot higher than other two estimates; therefore, they did not get the job.

They did the job quickly and with high quality. They were very helpful and clear about what to expect. I especially liked the work they did to eliminate my box gutters by extending the roof line. If you didn't know what to look for, you would not realize that there were box gutters at all due to how well they blended in the roof line. The price was accurate and slightly under budget. I had a couple items that they needed to follow-up on, and the work crew was not as careful when thowing off the old roof material as I would have liked. I said something to the foreman and he took care of the issue quickly.

Bone Dry Roofing, Inc. installed a new roof on my home. I sought their service because they were skilled with the removal and disposal of asbestos slate shingles. The experience and professionalism of the staff was a bonus with the whole process. On the day of the installation, the installers arrived on time to begin the work. They completed the work within the projected 8hr timeframe. Cleanup was done very well. The only evidence of their presence, was a nicely installed and attractive roof at the end of the day.

They were very professional and they were here when they said they were going to be. The only thing is their communication was a little bit lacking. They were going to do the roof and were going to come back after a couple weeks to do the other jobs. But, we told them that we needed everything done right away. They didn't give me a permit but, their quality of work was excellent.

We chose Bone Dry out of 4 highly rated (from Angies List) contractors because of their most competitive estimates. When all the work is done, we were absolutely sure we made the right choice. They did a wonderful job on removing and replacing the old roof, all in one day. The gutter and downspout job were done by their subcontractors on a later date. We did have some minor issues on the downspouts. Bone Dry accommodate with all of our concerns. This only shows their responsiveness. They really seem to take pride in their service, from field to office personnel. They only requested the payment after we had satisfied with all the work! We have nothing but compliment about this company. Overall, from price to quality of work we have no hesitation to give them A++.

They were EXCELLENT!! My roof is stunning and my neighbors have all complimented what a great job they did. They completed the work within 2 days and that involved tearing down the previous roof. I was even given a warranty for 10 or 15 years which is unbelievable.

Arrived on time and performed the requested and agreed upun work. Cleaned up when finished. Very satisfied with results.

We have asked to change the gutters and repair chimney right after we bought current our house. They came in and did a job with a great quality, in a professional manner. I also asked to take a photo of chimney and gutters where they repaired, as I wanted to make sure how it was repaired. They accepted it without any hesitation and showed me how the work has done, which made us very satisfied. I would use them again if any roof related issue would happen.
