Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Cincinnati

We purchased a Big Deal coupon to have a chimney cap replaced on my mother's house that we were getting ready to sell. A rep from Bone Dry Masonry came out and did the initial inspection. The house only needed a chimney cap so they returned a few weeks later and installed it. No other problems were found and no additional repairs or cost needed. We recommend Bone Dry Masonry and would use this company again for chimney repairs.

Came at appointed time, was actually a few mins early. Took time to look at chimney both inside and out . Was able to explain my many options and answer all my questions. Very professional. Sent quote a few days later. Would call them again if I needed some work done.

My roof was leaking over my sons room so we called Bone Dry roofing to get an estimate. It took around 4 days to receive the estimate which was a longer wait then I hoped for but when the employee came he took pictures of the problem and fully explained what needed to be done and how much it would cost. After agreeing to the cost which was luckily less then we thought it would be they were able to send out someone within a couple days to do the repair. The day that the employee came out it was crazy windy and I would have been in a bad mood being outside repairing something. However the employee was very professional and got the job done really well and showed me pictures of everything that he did on the roof. It's a great extra since you can only see so much from the ground so it's nice to see what the new shingles looked like next to the old ones and how similar they were. Overall I was very happy with their service and would use them again. On a side not I called the company once and the employee needed to check on something for me and called me back within 10 mins. which doesn't seem to happen that often with other companies.

Our roof was damaged by a severe windstorm. The insurance company went for a complete replacement. I selected Bone Dry from a list of providers in my area based on the Angie's List rating. The salesperson came out promptly, inspected the roof, and gave me a quote with options for additional services. The quote came out significantly below what I expected based on my research for roofers in the area. I made the appointment and the work crew arrived on time. The foreman explained everything and even invited me up on the roof to observe (I declined). They had to replace one section of wood under the shingles, but I knew it would happen because that area would leak even before the roof was damaged. They didn't try to overcharge or sell me anything else. At one point the foreman had to leave and he identified which workers spoke English in case I had questions. They were fast and efficient, even after he left. After the roof was finished, they walked the property with a large magnet to pick up any stray nails. I have found the odd nail here and there, but overall the grounds looked just like they did before they came. Haven't had any problems with the roof since and would gladly recommend them.

She showed up with a large crew and completed the job in one day. They thoroughly explained the warranty and demonstrated professionalism at all times. High quality job!

Service was as promised they showed up when the said they would and made good on their promise to be finished in a single day. They worked for nearly 12 hours. Things I liked about them. 1. They were on time and finished as promised. 2. Workmanship was very good. All new flashings at chimney and vents. They hand nail every shingle (no nail guns). 3. They give a 10 year transferable warranty (they even prorate their workmanship after the 10 years). 4. When they left at the end of the day, all debris went with them (no dumpster sitting in the drive way). We called them back on one minor issue, the same crew leader that led our project came back the day after I called and stayed until the issue was resolved. My neighbor a few doors down was so impressed they hired them to do their roof too. Same thing all done in one day! We even received a $100 gift card from Bone Dry for the recommendation to our neighbor. I would not hesitate to use them again.

He was polite and punctual, and was professional throughout.

The team was great, both the guy that came out to do the estimate and the guy that did the work were professional, friendly and efficient.

I am writing to let you know how pleased and satisfied we are with the work done by Bone Dry Roofing. We had a new roof put on our house. We already had two layers on, so they needed to take it down to the tar paper. In doing this we found that no tar paper was used when we built the house 37 years ago. Therefore, the plywood was rotted and needed to be replaced. Needless to say this was a major undertaking. They went and purchased 60 sheets of plywood, removed the old ones which took the roof down to the eaves, replaced it, and continued. They did this all in one day. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of work and their efficiency. My son and daughter each had Bone Dry replace their roofs and are equally satisfied.

I did not get them to do the work. In hindsight, I wish that I had!

Beyond the outstanding quality of the work and the professionalism of their staff, the communication both before and after the actual work impressed us. They arrived on time for the estimate and listened to us explain the work that we desired done, then they scheduled the work, arrived on time, and spent adequate time and care throughout the job. I really got the impression that we were their priority, which is refreshing because so many home service companies seem like they are in a hurry to finish and move on. This was not the case on the day Bone Dry visited our home. Overall, it exceeded our expectations and hopes.

The contractor provided me with a list of possible causes and a corresponding breakdown of corrective actions and associated costs. I've since ranked the corrective actions from least to most expensive and will attempt to solve the water infiltration myself by applying the least expensive and simplest tasks first; if the problem persists I'll call them back for the more involved and expensive corrective action(s). I would recommend this contractor to others without hesitation. I'm very pleased! Joe D.

It was great. All my experience with this company has been positive.

Called them and talked with John Hanson, roofingsystem specialist. Made an appointment for him to look at the roof that was leaking. He suggested a water test to determine where the leak was. Made an appt. to have that done. it was determined the flashing needed replaced. We made an appt. and Murry the serviceman showed up and replaced the flashing. He explained everything and was very easy to talk to and did the job in the amount time he estimsted.

Bank barn gutter and downspout replacement and repair. They came up with a plan to handle the water runoff from the large surface area of our barn and it looks neat and is functional! Great job. The only area for critique is there were numerous intra-company break-downs in communications which delayed the completion of our job and was at time confusing for the homeowner. I would, however, use this company again.

Came out quickly to inspect room. Provided quote and was helpful when recommending materials/products. Quote was very close to final cost. Work was completed in one day and was cleaned up pretty well.

Getting the roof on was really good. They were really professional. It took a few months to get a chimney cap done from them as they subcontracted that out and we were not pleased with the wait on that.

We asked for a quote and received a fairly prompt response. Some negotiation ensued. Once the details were settled we selected a date suitable to us and the tenants. The work was done over two days and seemed to have been well done and has remained dry ever since.

Randy and crew did a great job. Bone Dry was there when they said they were going to be there and if they couldn't make it out a certain day, Randy called and left a message. Work was done quickly and was done well. Would use them again!

Poorly. No response from this company at all

I had called each company on a Monday night after hours and left messages with all stating my need for an estimate. The other two companies called back promptly within a day or so. However, Bone Dry did not and I had to call them once more. When I called them, the receptionist seemed very confused and flustered that my name would appear on the caller ID, that I had left a message but didn't receive a call back, and that she is the one who performs the call backs. At any rate, she still worked with me to have someone come out and give an estimate. I indicated that I wanted to be able to talk with the estimator when he came out, which also took her by surprise, so the timing was pushed back, but was still within 1-1.5 weeks. Drew Chance was great from the interactions I had with him. Unfortunately his previous call was running over, but he called ahead to tell me that he was running late. He did then arrive within 10 minutes of his estimate, unfortunately I had a meeting that I needed to leave for. I was only able to speak with him briefly before leaving, the rest of the time he spoke with my father and it seems his professionalism and knowledge were continuous throughout his visit. I understood from all the roofing companies that had come out, that the Landen area had experienced some hail damage and that all roofing companies were relatively busy as a result. However, after a week's time, both of the other companies have followed up with me via email or phone. Having worked in customer service in a variety of ways, it makes a difference to potential clients when a company follows up. I was disappointed not to have heard from Bone Dry. If they do reach out later, I will update this portion. Overall, I would consider reaching out to Bone Dry again in the future, though I didn't go with them this time. The C rating for responsiveness is primarily in regards to the interactions with the receptionist and the lack of a follow up with me regarding the potential work.

I had also used Bone Dry before in a different state on another house I had. Overall they did a good job. The only thing that I didn't really care for was that you pay a certain price up front for them to assess the leak. But then that price comes off the overall cost of the roof if you have them do the work. They were very courteous, on time and cleaned up the mess around my house.

We were very pleased. outstanding service, good price, punctual and responsive. I would recommend them.

Bone Dry was very good at communicating throughout the whole process, beginning with quoting and through scheduling the main event. They were professional and friendly and arrived on time. They brought a huge crew to get the roof done before the rain moved in and completed the whole thing in about 4 hours. Bone Dry also was very understanding of the insurance process as ours was an insurance claim. They were very patient with the payment process while we waited for the checks from our insurance company.

We thought the price was very fair and reasonable. The workmanship was very good. They were very fast to come out and do it, we were just very happy with them. They were neat and clean, they cleaned up after themselves. The workers were very good, very courteous, very accommodating.
