+ 0 moreIt went great. It was very expensive work (probably more than the equipment is actually worth), but it all had sentimental value to me. Ben was extremely thorough and told me exactly what he was going to need to do. To say Ben is knowledgeable about vintage stereo equipment is an understatement. His walls are literally covered with dozens of certifications from various brands and it was so nice to be able to trust that my equipment was going to be treated with the care and attention to detail I expected. I'm extremely happy with the service I received and will absolutely be going back to him for anything I need in the future.
Description of Work: I had some vintage stereo equipment that was damaged by children. Ben fixed my turntable and two Cerwin Vega speakers.

+ -1 moreNot good. I paid a few thousand for this turntable. It can't be replaced. I only went with this guy cause I colud not find anyone else who could work on it. Found out that he really wasn't as familiar with how to repair it from talking to him afterword.
Description of Work: The owner did repair the problem. I didn't have a problem with his repair to an expensisve Bang and Olson turntable. As soon as i saw it I knew that he had broke something and glued it. They only have a 30 day warranty. How many of us use a turntable very often ? As time went on I finally used it, to find out that he created a new problem. The cover does not come down smooth and slow anymore. It is also out of line and gets stuck at the bottom from being glued back on crooked. Very upsetting and disappointed.
