Description of Work: We have two furnaces in the house. When having the ductwork cleaned there were some concerns expresses by the cleaners where it was recommended the furnace company come in. They did and everything was taken care of immediately.

+ 0 moreWe have used them before in the past at our old home. It helped me because I was having problems breathing. We were satisfied with the work they provided for us. They were very professional and friendly, very helpful and informative. We were given information on how to prevent the problem in the future. I thought they did a really good job and if I had to I would use them again in the future.

+ -1 moreI called them and a few other companies for an estimate to put a humidifier on my furnace. Their estimate was the best and I called them to do the work. They did a great job and only charged me what I was quoted on the phone. I will use them again.
Description of Work: I had a humidifier installed on my furnace. An employee came out and he was very respectful, even putting down cloth tarps so he didn't track dirt on my carpet. He did the job and cleaned up. I'm very happy with the work and I'm going to use them for future furnace checks and repairs.

Description of Work: On 1/2/2013, they checked out my furnace, it would heat when I turned the power button off and then on again, but when it shut off, it wouldn't come back on on it's own. The man replaced a part for $64.00. It didn't work and on 1/4/2013 they came out again and were going to charge me $300.00 for a different part. Being that the furnace is 17 years old, I told the man to just put in a new furnace instead of the $300 part. They came back on 1/7/2013 to change the furnace, I asked if they were going to credit me the $64 for the new part they put on it before or give me the new part off of it, they said normally they wouldn't because they couldn't give someone else a warranty on a used part ( even though it was on my furnace for only 5 days) but they would do it this time. I left them there to go back to work. I had a spare $9.00 furnace filter that was gone when I looked for it, I called and the man said he didn't remember taking it.

+ -1 moreEveryone that we talked to from the person who answered the phone to the installers were helpful, professional, and friendly. The gentleman who sold us the furnace came to our home, answered any questions we had. The supervisor of the installation came ahead of time to inspect the basement to see what all might be needed (we have a wood burning furnace in a 160 year old home). The crew who did the work were a pleasure to have around. They all worked together so well, we could tell they enjoyed working with each other. Thompson Heating and Cooling gets top score from us!

+ -1 more,Arrived late Sunday evening to a home that had no heat.Covered beds with extra blankets for the night. Call Thompson first thing Monday morning. Workman was on site by 1:30pm same day. He finished everything and left no mess. As the temperature began to rise, I notice that 3 registers were still cold. Left message on Monday evening and workman was at the house by 10:00am. Bled the registers until we had heat coming through. This company is very responsive and certainly do everything they can to accomodated a customer.
Description of Work: Replaced bad zone valve, emptied expansion tank, restated boiler and bled registers.

+ -1 moreThey are very, very educated, very, very honest and their prices are unbelievable for what they do. They are everywhere but we deal with the one in Niles. He told us we needed a new air conditioner next year, not now. I would give him an A, A, A, A, A! I will always use him. He is my only heating and air conditioning guy. Last year they put in a new heating unit. They are great, absolutely great and fair priced.
Description of Work: Thompson Heating & Cooling repaired our air conditioner. They had to recharge our air conditioner, they cleaned all around it, took it apart and put it all back together for under $200.00 dollars.

+ -1 moreThere were times I had to call them out on an emergency and I was very happy with them. One time I had to call them because our furnace went out and he had to come out on Christmas Eve, I had to pay more but you expect that and they got the job done. They could have charged me double, the charged me plenty but they got the job done. The guy acted like it could have been any night as far as he was concerned. I apologized profusely and he said its just one of those things. I call them out a couple of times a year for inspections and cleanings. They are my preferred provider.
