+ -1 moreCharlie was great! He showed up on time, diagnosed the various problems, and had everything up and running within two hours. He was knowledgeable, professional, and priced his services very fairly. I absolutely recommend him to anyone with phone/wiring issues!
Description of Work: Rewired alarm so that DSL did not go through alarm without a filter. Installed whole-house phone filter for better phone/DSL service. Installed dedicated DSL line.

+ -1 moreCharlie was excellent to talk to and work with. I wanted a new cable run to the master bedroom. He talked about options and we made an appointment to have him give me a quote. Charlie returned my call promptly and provided follow-up communication via Angies list to confirm our phone conversation and appointment timing. I was also pulling new electric and had the electrician over a week before my appointment with Charlie and asked the electrician if he could pull cable and the electrician could do both, so I went that route. I would have given Charlie my business, but it made sense to have it all done at once. I wouldn't hesitate to call him back if I have cable or low-voltage wire work done in the future. When I told him via Angie's list I decided to work with another company, he was very gracious in his return email.

Description of Work: My land line was causing static because fo a short somewhere. I called around for help, service, & while I did not use the Wireworks, they gave great information/suggestions and were very helpful on the telephone with me. I ended using my telephone provider, but would go to Wireworks for service.

+ -1 moreIt went well. The electrician that does the sub-contracting with them did the projects in my house and he's very efficient and he knows what he's doing. I'm happy with the overall price as well as the other jobs. They made one mistake the inspector caught and they had to come back and fix it.

Description of Work: Wireworks was one of a number of telephone repair companies contacted for an evaluation, repairs required and cost estimate for the telephone system in my small business. Charlie was the most responsive and friendly individual of all phone system companies we spoke to in the initial calls made. An appointment was made for him to come to the office to assess the problem, propose a repair plan and provide a cost estimate. He agreed to do the evaluation promptly and followed through reliably. Another company never followed through on its promise to call us back to schedule an evaluation, and a third company rudely informed us that we were too small a customer for them. Charlie was thorough, professional, answered all questioned asked in detail, provided several options that we could choose from and specific with the cost estimate. He was prompt in following through on the repair and replacement work. His work was done carefully and professionally. The end result was all that we could have hoped for and his bill for both the replacement equipment provided and the service he provided came i below the initial estimate. I would recommend Charlie and his Wireworks business with no hesitation or reservations. Excellent/

Description of Work: Charlie did a great job. I needed a phone and cable line from my basement into a 2nd story office in a 1950s house. I had estimates from Time Warner Cable who would not do it, unless they could wrap the house in cable. AT&T said similar things. Finding an electrician was difficult and then I got one here, who wanted to charge hundreds of dollars and was not going to accomplish what I wanted. Charlie came in, assessed the situation, provided some options with the pros and cons of each and then got to work.

+ -1 moreEverything went well. When I scheduled the appointment, I was given some tips on how I might be able to fix the problem myself. They did not work BUT I was very impressed that Wireworks was willing to let me try and fix it. That takes money out of their pocket! The day of my appointment I had a couple of calls updating me with the electrician's ETA. I appreciated the communication. Once he showed up, he went right to work. Within about 15 minutes the problem was diagnosed. The total repair from start to finish was 45 minutes. Quick, friendly and knowledgeable. A+
Description of Work: I had an issue with an outlet that no longer was working. Turned out that I had a loose wire in my fuse box that had fried. Several other wires were loose as well.

+ 0 moreFrom the very beginning Charlie worked with me to provide options that would fit in my budget and provided the necessary information for me to chose which components I wanted to use. Charlie completed all CAT 6 wiring connections in each room and at the panel, connected my cable modem to the patch panel and telephone punch down, and tested all circuits to ensure each was operational. He installed an electrical outlet near the panel so I can have power for the cable modem and power amp for the cable TV. All work was performed as agreed and cleaned up after completing for the day. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

It was hot in the crawl space where he had to do some of the work and he didn't complain, he did a great job. He completed it on time and with no cross over runs. We would use him again.

Description of Work: After installing our new ceiling fan, Charlie was checking to make sure everything worked properly and found that our 100 year old wiring wasn't going to properly power the unit. So, he ran new wires from the center of the ceiling in our living room on the first floor through the wall between the living room and staircase to the opposite wall for the switch, through the basement ceiling and over to the junction box. Whew! He then reinstalled the fan and it operated beautifully!

+ -1 moreCharlie was at the house to install an outlet for my clothes dryer, and he mentioned his main business is installing phone systems. I had been having trouble with my lines, so when he was done with the outlet, he stayed to help me figure the phones out. He cleaned up a mess of unused wires that had been left behind by other contractors outside and did some troubleshooting of the lines. He determined there was a problem with a line somewhere, so we arranged for him to come back after the weekend to fix the problems and install a line to the kitchen. He was very thorough and very tidy. Not only did he clean up his mess, but he cleaned up the messes of those that had been before him! I would recommend WireWorks to anyone with any telephone OR electrical needs!

+ -1 moreCharlie was such a great help! The home we moved into had a natural gas attachment for the dryer, but my dryer is electric! I found Charlie on Angie's List and gave him a call. He came right out, gave me a free estimate, came back in a couple of days and installed the outlet in a couple of hours. My washer and dryer are down in the basement of a very old house and the floors are incredibly uneven. Charlie not only installed the outlet, but he leveled both the washer and dryer for me as a courtesy! Also, while he was there he checked my phone lines that were giving me trouble. I've commented on his excellent telephone service in a separate report. Charlie was very friendly and very thorough. He offered several suggestions for electrical issues around the house.
