Logan Services A/C, Heat & Plumbing

Had a unit installed in 2015, have used them for yearly service every year since then. I have had some minor problems here and there but nothing too bad until now. Last summer the air went out, tech came out and said I needed a new computer board, ordered the board and went without ac for a week. That part did not fix it so he had to order another part. Another week without ac. Came out with a master mechanic and said I didn't need the new part that I had a leak in the system. They worked on it for a long time could not find it. They recharged the system and said it must be a really small leak and that it should be good for a while. Had my fall service on Monday and tech said I was real low and it would be $200 for the leak check and $280 for 4 lbs of freon but if he couldn't guarantee he could find it so he would need to do a nitrogen pressure check that would cost more money. All for a job they should have done right last year. Received a call from a supervisor today that said since a signed the invoice for the work that was done there is nothing he could do for me. I don't have a problem paying for the work as long as it's done right. So I'm looking for a new ac service.

The salesman, Nick, was very knowledgeable and professional. The installers, Kyle and Jake, were very courteous, professional, competent, and went to great lengths to explain all the details behind the new systems. All three were very punctual for all appointments.

System was installed in April 2016 and a leak was identified but not isolated or repaired last year - the system was only recharged at my expense, but with a supposed credit toward a check-up this year. The technician acknowledged record of the issue. Today, my home is 77 degrees and the technician again indicated an unknown leak. I would have to take off additional time from work for another appointment for a full line test, and it was made clear any repairs and recharging would be at my expense. Additionally, the technician failed to comply with ANY of the company's supposed COVID guidelines. Technicians are REQUIRED to do the following on every call: Wear disposable gloves (Replace on every new call, or sooner as needed) Advise customer we want to make best effort to maintain the 6-foot distance where possible. Disinfect the thermostat after final use Disinfect the IPad before and after the customer has provided authorization for the service call. Wipe down any common doorknobs, handles, switches touched during the service call. Disinfect anything related to the service call that the customer desires you to do. None of these things were done, with the technician repeatedly entering and exiting my home without even a mask. The only thing he did was put bags on his shoes, which was practice before COVID came along. I won't give this business another penny of my money. My apologies go out to the technician who suffered for my great dissatisfaction with the company he works for.

Went well with the installation but I immediately started having issues with the system which they have had to have techs out twice to try and repair including waiting well over a week for parts. Everyone has been very nice and professional but I purchased a Trane system so I wouldn't have problems and because of those problems it has been costing me more in electricity to run Aux heat

My installers were Adam and Mannie. They arrived promptly and spent a long day replacing my 30 year old furnace and ac.with new Trane equipment. Everything went smoothly. Very professional and patiently answered my many questions. I am very happy with my new units.

Great. Shane and Daniel were the most professional people that has ever done any work for me. And believe me I have had plenty in the last 50 years. They got right to work and got the job done, cleaned up, taught me all about my new furnace, thermostat and A/C. They also went over all my paper work. I didn’t have to ask any questions about anything because they already explained everything I would have had a question to ask.

This is the second time we have hired Logan Services, they also installed a furnace and central air in our last home. We bought through Travis Jones and Shane Kennard did our installation. The techs were courteous, professional and very thorough. We could not be happier!

Excellent. Prompt response to request for estimate. Convenient scheduling. Reasonable price. Installers Anthony Szwarc and Brad Knaub were on time, professional, and efficient. They had all equipment and tools, prepared the job site and protected my home and furnishings. We were very pleased with the service.

We needed emergency service on the A/C / heat pump and were unhappy with the company our home's previous owner had used. We called Logan, who promptly scheduled a service tech to come out on the weekend to assess the issue. I was impressed to receive a text message from the tech when he was on the way, which included his photo (I appreciate knowing who to expect to see when I open my door to a stranger). Craig was pleasant, efficient in his analysis and repair, and was such an credible ambassador for Logan that we signed a new service agreement with Logan and cancelled our existing agreement with the company the previous homeowner had used. Our system likely has five-six years of life in it, but we will definitely have Logan replace the system when the time comes. Craig took the time to discuss what our options would be when the time comes, as we have plans for renovation that may impact our choice of replacement systems. We are happy to recommend Logan to anyone in the Greater Dayton area in search of a reputable heating/AC provider.

Install went very well. Trane furnace is noisier than I expected so disappointed. Does keep the house warm.

I've been a Logan customer since the A/C and heating system was installed in 2008. The technician couldn't provide a definitive diagnosis but said it "could be" the main circuit board that controls the system. Replacing this would cost about $1,300 (plus the ~$126 service call for this visit). Despite this system being barely over 10 years old, the tech started telling me how it's "time to start thinking about replacement" and pressured me to consider a new furnace to the tune of $4,000. I then called in a competitor, Deer Heating & Cooling, for a service call. Even though I was a new customer, they worked me in the same day - and their non-discounted service call rate is cheaper than Logan. The Deer technician diagnosed the main circuit board and also found a valve intermittently failing. The good news was Deer charged LESS THAN HALF the price of what Logan wanted for the exact same components (plus the additional valve)!! Deer stated that I should be able to get at least 15 years, and likely closer to 20 years, before I should be thinking about a replacement furnace. I was really disappointed in this experience with Logan Services and it showed me their true colors - pushing to sell you a new unit as soon as any post-warranty problems start to show up.

Estimator and Installers were prompt and professional. Care was taken to protect the house and clean-up afterward.

The Installers Were fantastic. They arrive Promptly and continued working continuously until the job is completed about 14 hours later. Bobby Fry and OB Were very professional and did a great job.

Picture of our new furnace also ac unit installed also. They were installed on 10/12 and I must say it was a professional job. Jake and his partner were on time and their workmanship was fantastic. Love the new units, our house heat is more even throughout the house. I will recommend Logan and Trane units when asked. Good Job to Logan AC & Heat Services.

They did an excellent job in a timely manner, left area clean and they were very mannerable!! Great job!!

On Saturday we had no heat and had an electrical smell from the furnace when we got home from work. Call Logans they said they do come to Troy,OH and I scheduled for them to come diagnose and repair what is wrong. Received an email and text stating we had a 7pm time slot appointment set, by 7am Sunday morning still no call, no email, no text and no heat. Very unhappy was going to be potential customer, not now

They checked out my old units which were 18 years and basically not repairable. They made a through assessment and quoted me a new price for a complete Trane system. They were professional in the installation and completed the job in one day.

Very professionals from the sales team to the installation team. The work was done quickly and they left my house all cleaned up. My daughter and her husband were so impressed that they had them install their new furnace.

Very well. Salesman was responsive to my telephone questions. After my decision was made, the paper work was signed on Saturday so that work could be done first thing Monday morning. Replacement was done in January, and Logan was prompt and quick.
