I hired KDC, in large part, because of its positive BBB and Angie`s list rating. As it turned out, my experience with this company (and owner Scott H) was horrific. KDC`s workmanship was so bad it walked off the job twice--once in the middle of the job and then again, after waiting 2 months to return, to correct only some of its mistakes. What reputable contractor would make significant mistakes, leave an installation mess and then walk of a job--twice! Second time after having received my punch list. Knowing KDC is not trustworthy, I offered full final payment to get them out provided it provide a lien release. Scott H refused payment and filed a mechanics lien! I will need to hire another contractor at significant cost to fix DKC`s incompetence and shoddy work. I found KDC and Scott H incompetent, its work shoddy and incomplete and they are not trustworthy. I have full documentation including our contract, emails, pictures and third party contractor fix recommendations to support this review.

Complete Kitchen remodel. New Cabinets, Kitchen sink, counter tops., flooring. We removed a portion of a wall to widen the entry zone. There were delays in the flooring that were not their fault but it did extend out the time frame of the project. Any issues that were pointed out were quickly rectified to our satisfaction. Workers were timely and courteous. Very pleased with the results. We would use them again.

They were a good company. There was nothing negative. He came when he said he was going to come. My interactions with them were fine. The estimate was detailed enough.

KDC was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire project! It was expected to take 6 weeks, and that's almost exactly how long it took. Any surprises along the way were brought to our attention and discussed. We were part of the decision-making process when redesigning the support in place of the load-bearing wall. Ron was the main contractor and his attention to detail, commitment to keeping us informed, and professionalism were excellent. KDC has relationships with many reputable vendors for appliances, counters, etc, and helped us make informed decisions. As you can imagine, there was a lot of dust and debris with this remodel, but the team kept the dust contained and cleaned up nightly before leaving. This was much appreciated. Any remodeling can be a stressful process, but KDC was easy to work with and made sure things ran smoothly and everything came together beautifully!

The company's description states, "From the simple to complex, no job is too large or too small, and we appeal to ALL budgets." Well, I didn't find that to be true. My project was to have a kitchen cabinet remodeled in order to accommodate a dishwasher. However, KDC said they could not take on this project at this time. I suppose if your project is not a full kitchen remodel then it evidently *is* "too small." If your budget isn't in the thousands, then it must not be included in KDC's definition of "ALL budgets." I suggest KDC either update their advertising to match their practice or be about what they say they're about.

I highly recommend Kitchen Design Center. Everyone who works there was great. The work crews arrived on time, were very careful and considerate, did excellent work and cleaned up every night. The kitchen looks completely different and we love it.

There was a marble top put on but it was actually through Kitchen Design Center someone affiliated with them. It was a six week project. It was a complete gut, they removed everything and put in a new tub, toilet, vanity and floor put in. It was pretty good pricing. They were very responsive. The best part was they remodeled it and it turned out nicer than I expected. The worst was that it took longer than we thought. For price and quality I thought they were very fair. Considering what the other bathroom is taking to get done they are much more affordable.

KDC did an excellent job. I remodeled the kitchen and they were very helpful in the entire process. They were very responsive, easy to work with and overall did a very good job.

It went well. I would recommend them to anyone.

From the moment we met Steve and provided him with what our needs were, his personal design of the remodel was perfect! From the electricians and plumbers rewiring the three rooms and the major move of plumbing continues without a day's delay to the carpenter who installed the cabinets and until the final hickory floor board was nailed in place. These talented and skilled craftsmen took our home, that was built in 1971, and installed over 40 feet by 20 feet of NEW...brought our home into 2014...just amazing... and completed all of this in a matter of 7 weeks. Kitchen Design Center has an exceptional and experienced and accomplished team and our gorgeous renovation has inspired so many to consider KDC as their choice of remodel. We used them from May to the beginning of August. They were very personable and the cost was reasonable. We liked the quality. Those things really stood out. If we wanted a change, they were right on it. It turned our gorgeous. They didn't start when they were supposed to. We would absolutely use them again and we have recommended them to other people.

I have used them before and I’m very pleased with their professionalism, their service and their work. They cleaned up after themselves and everything like that.

We found KDC to be exceptionally easy to work with, thorough, and professional. They submitted a detailed, itemized quote for tearout and installation in a very timely manner. They were extremely flexible in working with us regarding what materials they would supply and which we would obtain, as well as what tasks they would perform and we would perform. This flexibility allowed us to save some of the cost by completing some of the tasks ourselves (e.g., painting, faucet and light installation). The project was started and completed in a timely fashion...no waiting around in the middle of the project, so that we were not living in a state of disruption for long. The workmanship was extremely professional...I'm fussy, and they completely met my expectations! The contractors who performed our work were very punctual, professional, and neat. It was easy having them in the house. When we ran into some bumps along the way, as often happens with remodels on a 60+ year home, they were very responsive and helpful. First rate!

When we started the search for a contractor, we utilized Angies List and found 5 contractors with excellent ratings. We interviewed them all and received estimates from all but one. (they never called back with their estimate). Scott at Kitchen Design Center was the only contractor that listened to what we wanted and actually drew up plans, showing each aspect of what we talked about, and a detailed list before any work started or money changed hands. Construction started in April and since we had never done anything like this before we were nervous to say the least. The crew could not have been more professional and friendly. Every time we had a question or wanted to change something it was not an issue. It was almost as if my wish was their command. Our crew, Bob and Marco, was courteous, dependable, punctual and clean. Their craftsmanship was beyond question. Our 1974 kitchen was transformed into something out of a magazine. Our equally horrid bathrooms were also transformed into works of art. We could not be happier with the results. Even today, every time we look at these rooms, we still cannot believe how beautiful they are. I would totally recommend KDC to others and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

I found them to be very professional, responsive and generally did a good job. They made sure that I was pleased with everything.

We had been waiting many years to redo our old kitchen. It was tight, old formica countertops, poor layout, not enough counter space, etc. We wanted to pick an able, honest, and experienced team to design, construct, and complete our kitchen, quickly and in our cost frame. Kitchen Design Center was our choice and it was a great one! Scott Herceg of KDC (Kitchen Design Center) came to our house and made note of all our wishes and thoughts re/our dream kitchen. At his showroom, we were presented with many options and styles of cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and flooring. Scott also told us of what manufacturers had sales and directed us to other showrooms of tile and plumbing. As we made our final decisions re/building materials and appliances, we would call or fax Scott our decisions. When all was decided, we talked with Scott, firmed up our cost and got a start date. KDC held to their start date and kept us in constant communication re/ all aspects of our kitchen. Any extra materials or refunds were quickly noted and signed off on. The construction team of Chris and Jake started our kitchen in late June and finished early August, right on schedule! Chris offered suggestions along the way re/changes we might consider and all were good ideas. Chris and Jake were perfectionists about fit and quality of materials. At the end of the day they would make sure that all was left clean and tidy. We wake up every morning to our dream kitchen and would heartily recommend Scott Herceg's Kitchen Design Center to anyone considering a remodeling project.

Our kitchen looks like a showroom it is so good. They did a beautiful job. All the work is sub contracted, but he uses the same ones for all jobs. They were very professional, courteous and responsive to our questions and concerns. Their pricing was very good. Their craftmanship was outstanding. There was a small issue with the grout on the countertops, but they took care of it at no extra charge. We like them so much, we are considering them for our bathroom remodel. The price was very reasonable, much cheaper than what Home Depot offered.

Our kitchen remodel is beautiful and the contractors were professional and did a very good job. While responsiveness was great during our remodel, it has not been ideal in dealing with issues after the completion of the project. Very nice people to work with but I would in hindsight, I would have asked more questions initially about details and dealing with items after the job was completed and done a little more research on flooring options. All in all, I am happy with the remodel and the cabinetry quality is superior.

As a "do-it-yourselfer" I decided to remodel our kitchen and settled on Kitchen Design Center of Valley View, Ohio to assist. I proposed our idea to owner Scott Herceg and, for the price of the cabinets and materials, he designed the entire project from a model we saw online. The design, materials, and the unlimited phone assistance were delivered as promised, on time and with a smile. And by the fiftieth phone call, the advice - and the smiles - couldn't have come easily, but they did. Bottom line: If you want to do it yourself (and be honest about your abilities and experience) I can't think of a better place or people to deal with than Scott, Dawn and all the staff at KDC. They get an "A" from this old codger.

Absolutely thrilled with the kitchen reface. Workmanship top notch. Bob and Ken are true craftsman. Kitchen was finished on time and materials selected were exactly as ordered from samples. Thank you Scott, Steve, Ken, Bob and Dawn for a great job. Highly recommend this company!

They did an excellent job. They were on time, professional and got the job done in a reasonable time. We love our new bathroom!

they responded to my inquiry, quickly and professionally. came and provided estimate in 2-3 business days. I chose not to use tham as their quote was almost twice all others. woould describe them as professional, but expensive.

We consulted with Scott Herceg of Kitchen Design Center in the renovation of our 1951 kitchen. We had received design ideas from other places, but Scott was the only person to offer to come to our home, take measurements and give us his design ideas. He made the extra effort to actually see what the space looked like which allowed his design ideas to far exceed those we had already received. He was so patient in answering all our questions and helped us to narrow down choices that fit our budget. Although KDC did not do the install, they took care of ordering the cabinets and having the countertops installed. Dawn Stagliano was also so very helpful - and again patient - in selecting and coordinating the installation of the countertops. Our kitchen is not only beautiful, but very functional because of Scott's design. We appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail.

I did months of research before committing to KDC. In the end, my choice was between two very similar companies, but chose KDC becasue communication was on time, open and honest. I live on the 4th floor of a condo and that poses some unique problems that individual homeowners rarely see. For instance, which of the several entrances can be used by contractors, how do contractors check in, what hours can they work, what/where can they use as a set up area. These items are all controlled by decs and bylaws and handbook of rules - as well as permits from the community housing department.. In addition, this was a tiny kitchen, so no more than two guys could work in it at a time. In the end, I signed the contract late fall, and told KDC that if they could not get the job completed before Thanksgiving to wait until after New Year's. They started the Monday after New Years (though a couple of the subcontractors came by for a few minutes prior to then, just to scope out the project). Communication was essential since I work full-time and was only available during my lunch hour. I really can't say enough good things about this group of people. Pleasant, on time, efficient, on task, organized, clean, knowledgeable. When one group was in the process of cleaning up, the second was organizing and waiting to start. I think there were two days of downtime, waiting for the floor installation - which I knew well in advance. Electrician worked for a full day re-wiring lights and updating electrical outlets. I had 3 minor problems (a small glob of acrylic which had to be sanded smooth, a rough edge on one of the cabinet edges, and a cabinet door that didn't allow the slide to work) which were resolved quickly a day or two after they were reported. WELL DONE!

Before starting this project, like any homeowner, I was somewhat nervous. I was reassured by the very positive reviews we had received about the KDC team and even had the chance to see one of their kitchen renovations in person, which was beautiful. Furthermore, throughout every interaction with Scott during the planning process, he was patient and never pushy. He was understanding of our budget and always tried to present several options for us from which we could choose (in terms of picking cabinetry and all other elements). Scott also advised us on several issues that we would not have been aware of but that his experience taught him, and we were very grateful that he took the time to clarify details with us so that we knew exactly what to expect of the outcome. In terms of the KDC team, I was also very impressed with the installer, Frank, who was always punctual and who paid attention to minor details. He left our home very clean at the end of each day, which we appreciated. We keep pinching ourselves that we have a new kitchen because the process was so much easier than we thought it would be when we first thought of renovating. We are enjoying our new kitchen greatly and receive compliments routinely. We are so pleased we worked with Scott and the KDC team on this project!
