While we had been really in love with the house, Michael's inspection showed in detail the many issues that it had, convincing us that this was NOT the house we had believed it to be. His care and honesty saved us a lot of money and heartache, and we are really grateful to him for doing such an outstanding job. As we continue our search for a home that is perfect for us, we will continue to count on Michael to provide us with the information so essential to making a good and informed choice. + -1 moreThis is our third house buy and definitely Michael (from Heritage Home Inspections) was our best experience by far. The attention to detail during the inspection, the format to deliver the inspection, and the post-inspection debrief and patience to answer all our questions was outstanding. Add to the above that this inspection was done during the COVID19 pandemic, with several restrictions in place, making everything more difficult. Frankly, I couldn't recommend Michael more. I would give him A+ in every field.

Michael Brady of Heritage Home Inspections found items we were not aware of but also assured us that the home we were buying was in relatively good shape which eased our minds. He took lots of time explaining what the issues were, what items we might also want taken care of, and what parts of the house were in especially good shape, e.g., the roof. Brady also shared information that identified what items might need to be replaced within 2-3 years, e.g, the hot water heater because of its life expectancy. We were thrilled with his service, friendly style, and thorough knowledge.
Description of Work: Needed a professional home and termite inspection within the 7 days to comply with a house contract.

Description of Work: Michael came out to inspect a 125 year old home we purchased in Granville. We requested several additional services (well and septic inspection, radon, and wood-destroying insect tests), and informed Mike that we wanted to be very thorough since our oldest son has a compromised immune system. He was very understanding and very meticulous, and he had good recommendations for additional inspections for areas he raised concerns about. (The home has an original slate roof, which Mike recognized needed attention, and a geothermal heating and cooling system which I had additional questions about. Mike gave me the contact information for a local professional he dealt with who specialized in geothermal systems.) His initial estimate was accurate (he took special care to warn me that the additional services we requested would come at additional expense), and he did the majority of the work himself. His inspection was professional, backed up with photographs for each area of concern, and extremely comprehensive. He was also very friendly, punctual, and he quickly responded to any questions or concerns we had. I would wholeheartedly recommend his services.
