Brother's Tree Service

The service was provided for my elderly mother. Josh gave her a quote of $375 to trim 2 trees. They started in the afternoon and did get one tree trimmed. They explained to my mother that they would be back the next day but did not show. They did not clean up after their work as they said they would and caused some damage to the deck that was in the vicinity of the trees. We tried multiple times to contact and never received a return phone call. The last call made to their number resulted in a disconnected phone number. My mother did pay $250 the day of the service and now considers this ordeal a lesson learned.

We had been hearing tree trimming in the neighborhood the past few days and had discussed having our dying birch tree cut down. Then in the early afternoon we received a knock on the door and there was Gerald offering to give us a free estimate for cutting down the dying birch that same day.. He and his crew had been working in the neighborhood and were looking for a last job for the day before they left the neighborhood. We weren't going to use them since we couldn't find them on Angie's list but he said we didn't have to pay until the job was completed and we were totally satisfied. My husband was hesitant but Gerald gave an estimate for the cut down and also some trimming that we couldn't refuse. I told him if he did a good job I would put him on Angie's list! We watched for awhile and he absolutely knew what he was doing! His crew cleaned everything up as they went along. They were done in a few hours and we were so impressed we actually paid more than he had quoted us.Gerald even warned me of an ant colony at the base of the dead tree that needed treating! He offered to come back for a stump removal (has to get different equipment) and quoted us a price. If we decide to have the stump removed we will probably call him. This is a company started by two young brothers (twins!) and we like to support new businesses.
