BUYER BEWARE: I purchase a custom door from Pella back in Nov 2021. The salesman was great, and he took a credit card payment for half the amount (3750.00) before leaving and scheduled my install for June 2022. There was a delay in getting the door put in, but the day that it was put in, 2 men showed up. One was younger and the other was an older gentleman. The older gentleman did not speak English, so I communicated through the younger man during the process of install. When install was over, the younger man asked how I wanted to pay. I stated that I wanted to pay with credit card. He informed me it was too late in the day to pay with card (Why didn’t he ask me prior to them shutting off payments? How would I know there was a deadline when I paid the deposit even later during the initial payment?). He asked if I had a check, and I stated no, that my checkbook was at the barn where my daughters horse is located. He mentioned that I could pay the next day over the phone, but it really needed to be settled that day. So, I went into the safe and got out 4000.00 I had from selling our previous family horse a few months prior. I put the money in an envelope and walked it outside. The older man was loading trash and debris into the back on the truck, and I handed him the envelope and told him thank you. The envelope contained the payment and a 250.00 tip, due to the guys working outside in the heat all day. He shook his head and smiled and we went our separate ways. About a week later I get a phone call from Pella asking for my payment. I explained that I gave the older man cash, and the situation. They stated that they would check with the installers and get back to me. To my surprise, they called back and said they didn’t have the money!!! I was shocked! I told them that the man was loading trash when we gave it to him, so maybe it ended up in the back of the truck. They checked into that, and found out that it had not. At this point I am starting to realize I was stolen from by Pella employees/contractors. Did the guy not tell me about the credit card machine so I would have to pay another way? Did the man I gave the money to think it was all a tip because he couldn’t speak English and didn’t understand me? I am very upset. About a week later I get a call from someone from corporate telling me I have to pay the balance or they will be taking me to court! WHAT? Your installers stole from me, and now you are requiring me to PAY again? I am just a single person, this is a HUGE company. 3750.00 is make or break for my family. This company makes millions. And they are coming after me for money that their installers did not report as paid? I am not sure what kind of company abides by this lack of morals and customer services, but I am appalled. I would recommend that no one use them, unless you want to be scammed, stolen from, or gone after in court to repay something you already did. DO NOT BUY!

Workers Jake and Patrick were very conscientious, diligent, competent, polite and respectful. Their work and results were excellent and professional. Final products were just what we imagined and looked so nice. They were very respectful to our comments and wishes. Also, it was very nice of Joe our salesperson to stop over and look over results. He made note of one wood shade selection that did not quite match as we had hope. He assured us that shade adjustments would be not a problem and we would be 100% satisfied. He was very positive. The work was completed in one 12 hour day and Patrick would come by the next day for a “walkthrough” and any minor fine tuning. Very impressed with Pella standards and quality. Also, communications with liaison Jill at Pella in Cleveland was always very pleasant and positive. We made the correct decision to team up with Pella for this project!

Even though Pella cost a little bit more it is worth every single penny. I mean the service you get from Pella is unparalleled. In fact I just got an email from them recently about how to deal with condensation on your windows, I mean their follow up is unbelievable. They were here this past Summer. These great big sliders are very expensive. Their between 14 and 18000 dollars a set because their great big huge panels. The crew, the pre work, the post work, and the people that do their installation are only Pella, their not hired, I had one door that was an emergency door that had to be done by Lowe's and I've had to have people come back, in fact the Pella people fixed the door because Lowe's did not install it correctly at all. I had to have people come back three times and Pella finally fixed it because they had done all of our other doors and quite frankly the guy looked at the installation, he said this installation is terrible and the door wasn't even plumb so it didn't close properly. That's because they hire handymen that don't specialize in Pella doors. Every one at Pella is trained to do a Pella door. You get what you pay for. That's all we have are these sliding doors all over our house, we did one without, a small door, with Lowe's and the one door was Anderson and the difference is day and night.

This company is a complete s***-show. I ordered $12,000 worth of windows and after 3 months, 7 home visits, 3 broken windows, 4 times window parts were made incorrectly, 2 times that service appointments were called off, I STILL HAVE TWO FAULTY WINDOWS! I was "assured" the last time that the parts would come in correct and "QC" would double check before sending them out. Of course I get a call today about an appointment (that no one told me I had) being canceled because once AGAIN, the parts came in wrong. They offered me a 5% discount but after all this, I wouldn't have paid them a dime for this type of service and product. I would NEVER recommend any one to use this company and anyone who is thinking about using them, DON'T unless you like to be ripped off and jerked around for months on end.

We had certified pella installers provided by pella. It gave us a great warranty on the install. The installers were professional, friendly and thorough. They cleaned up after themselves vacuuming the area by each window. The made each window fit perfect. The installers had some challenges with our landscaping and small pongs. They worked around each obstacle and never complained once. They were a very nice group and I feel assured that our windows were installed correctly. They look great. WE immediately notice the house being much quitter and cooler during our 90 degree summer. I cannot say enough about the windows and the installation. Now the test of time to see how they hold up.

The service went great and I didn’t have any problems at all. Everything went quite well and well done. The price was higher that we expected but it was lower than the other companies that came and looked at the work.

The cost of $8,000 was for four windows with a blind inside that opens and closes. There is a blind between the glasses that you can open and close at night. They matched our other woodwork. The color was matched perfectly and they put them in promptly. We love the windows. I have had no trouble with them. The price was high obviously, but it was a good product.

The service was very good. They were very efficient. They completed the job on time in the said time they would have expected to. I just felt that they were very professional and I was happy with their service.

The installation was great and everything; it's just the windows are not good. The windows ended up leaking air and then they had to come back out. Their warranty, after three years, I have to pay $125 for them to come out. As far as the installation goes, the installers were great. They did a great job. They were really nice. They were efficient. They were clean. However, the quality of the product is not very good. The work was done in May of 2011 and the windows started leaking really bad last year. It was freezing and they came out and fixed it but it cost me $125. They had to replace all the pads and everything and even now. They're not that great. If I were to recommend them to a friend, I would say that the quality of the window isn't good but the workers are great. They were responsive. They showed up and they're very nice and everything. I wouldn't consider using them again because of the quality.

We were satisfied with the work they did. The price was the reason we selected them. They were very good with their punctuality. We would probably use them again if they could do what we wanted done.

The service has been awesome. They referred me to someone who did an incredible job on the trim work around the window. I’m not real happy with the stain that was put on the exterior door, I did call them and they are going to come and look at it to see what they can do.
