Description of Work: They came out in timely manner, diagnosed the problem and replaced the meter box and the lines on the house feeding into it. They replaced all materials and parts (which were probably 50 years old) with new ones. It took 2 people about 2 hours. They were very nice, professional and took the time to explain everything very clearly.

Description of Work: They replaced an electric outlet in the kitchen to conform to the city's code. However, I also wanted the electrician to replace a ceiling fixture upstairs as long as he was there. (I had told the company about it before he came to the house so it was not a surprise.) I had bought a new fixture and I thought he would just be able to install it with no major problems. However, he said that no electricity was reaching the fixture. The job would take longer than the time he had scheduled to spend at the house. It would also be quite expensive--about $400. So I postponed work on the fixture indefinitely. I don't hold the company responsible even though not everything was completed that day. They were honest about what needed to be done and how much it will cost. The problem was more extensive than I had expected. Maybe I will eventually call them back to do the work, but it might be a while.

Description of Work: They ran a new line for a garage door opener to be installed.

Description of Work: Added a new motion light to side of the house and tied it to a switch in the kitchen. Light works perfectly.

Description of Work: Replaced outside security lights (2 photosensitive, 1 motion-activated). Worked efficiently, effectively. Reasonable charge for travel time and overall cost of materials and labor. Very responsive when I later called about a defective bulb (manufacturer's fault), which they replaced promptly.

Description of Work: The other owning the electricity went off in half of my house. I tried to reset it with the circuit breaker box to no avail. I researched Angie's list looking for an electrician close to my home. I found a couple that looked promising,the first wanted me to leave a message. I was unsure of what was happening and preferred speaking directly to a person. I then called Kathy at Sketttles. She immediately answered the phone and said my problem was most likely external and to call the electric company. She even looked up their phone number for me. She said she hated to charge me for a service call when she believed it was not the issue. If they could not fix the problem to call back and she would send someone right out. The electric company came and it was an issue with the outside wires and they were able to fix the problem in a timely manner. I really appreciated the fact that Kathy was honest and pointed me in the right direction. It is nice to know that kind honest people still exist. I called and thanked Kathy for her help. In the future, I will certainly use this company for any electrical work I need and will highly recommend them to my friends!

Description of Work: I have been having problems with an outside outlet and the line that runs to a lamp post. Carl came out and gave an estimate. It was obvious that he was knowledgeable, while also practical. We scheduled to do the work about 2 weeks later. He is professional and his work was great. He was excellent about tidying up and answering all my many questions. I would use them again in a heart beat!

Description of Work: They came two times and finished the jobs,( the date and price are not accurate because its been a long time since they did the and I am not sure anymore),which were fixing a ceiling light, and instalimgl a three prong outlet in an upstairs bedroom. I was happy with them, but I was somewhat disappointed with the price which was a bit higher than I expected both times (it depended on the work time). I did not conciously watch the time from start to finish which is my fault, perhaps if I would have been more careful I would have found the price very reasonable.
