Skettle Electric Inc

We called Skettle Electric due to a minor electrical problem. The owner came out the same day to fix the problem. It ended up taking many hours to find the faulty circuit box, but Mr. Skettle did not charge us extra and performed the work for a very reasonable price.

You can?t beat the price and I would use them again. This was my third time using them.

They did not show up when they said they would. The bill was more then the estimate and they charged me much more for a product I could have gotten myself. I would have appreciated it if they cleaned up after themselves.

Tony was on time, completed the work and then some. He also came back for the South Euclid Building Inspector to inspect the work completed. Excellent job, very professional and the clean up was awesome. I would recommend Skettle and I would use them again and again. I am a very critical person when it comes to people and or companies giving an estimate and performing that work. I was very very impressed and I liked the workers.

I was really knocked over by the speed in which the job was completed and the quality of the work. I highly recommend their service.

Tony and a couple of his employees came to my house and were able to wire up and install an 8 foot baseboard heater + Thermostat in my 3rd floor bedroom in under 4 hours. The installation looks and works great, and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Getting a quote and scheduling was very easy, and Kathy was always helpful when i had questions.

It went very well. They were very pleasant to work with, he was down to earth and easy to talk to. I worked with he and his wife and they were both very pleasant. The workmanship was very good as well. They were perfectionist and did the work so that it would like nice. The generator was very large and they did a nice job laying the lines and working with my existing bushes and shrubbery. I asked them to do some research on the different types of generators and that took a little while, but in the end he came up with a very good option for the generator. There were some delays in getting the work started due to conflicts with both of our schedules but once the work began everything went smoothly.

Everyone I interacted with at Skettle regarding this work was very courteous, professional and pleasant. That includes Karl who came over to provide the estimate (and later to perform the work as well) and Kathy who I communicated with over email and phone. The price they quoted was much more reasonable than another verbal quote I had received from a different provider (that also happens to be top-rated on Angies List. This was not the first time I had found out that top-rated on Angies List doesn't always translate to great service in all aspects). Skettle Electric was very accommodating - they rescheduled the work promptly when I had an unexpected conflict and completed the work in the time frame they had promised, again respecting my schedule. I am very happy with the work they did, and will call them again without any hesitation!

9/8 Estimate same day as I called. 3-4p Mike came out & fixed garage lights $70 Kathy called later in the evening with estimate. 10/7 Mike and Tony did the work with no problems and inspector came and ok'd everything. I feel much safer with my new electrical box and the new outlets are very convenient!

Tony came out to give estimate and work was arranged a few weeks later. Price was competitive and they were willing to add on some small stuff we wanted done. Job took several days but it was a lot to do. Nice to deal with Kathy in the office, very organized and was good to be able to reach someone easily.

Service was prompt, friendly, efficient and effective. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing electrical work.

A neighbor's tree fell down and pulled down my electrical lines, including pulling the meter and casing right off the house. The electric company installed new electrical lines to the roof and cut the old lines to the breaker box. I called Skettle as soon as the electric company ran new lines to my house. Skettle was able to schedule the repairs for the same day. The repairmen were friendly and very efficient. Skettle was able to restore electicity to my house that day and bypassed the meter (since it was going to take the electric company a week to come back and install a new meter). The reason I gave them a B on Punctuality is that they had to come back the next day to meet with a city inspector and cement a hole to the new line to the breaker box. The city inspector meeting went fine, but they didn't have time until a day later to cement the hole.

They came out on an emergency phone call - they were out at my house within an hour and a half. I have used them several times. They are very professional and do very good work. Clearly in an emergency they are very prompt. They have very reasonable prices. I split the cost with the concrete people. The total cost was $500 and I paid about $250. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

Contact was fast and scheduling was very efficient, they came by quickly and were incredibly professional and kind, and explained everything they were doing in a way I could understand. They were open to answering questions and helping with jobs that were not originally requested when the phone call was made. The man who came here was in the Skettle family, and clearly had a lot of experience as an electrician. Will definitely call them next time I need any electrical services!

I can not praise this company enough. It was a pleasure from start to finish. They were very quick to come out and give the estimate. Work was scheduled quickly. Karl and Mike did an outstanding job. All the work was done even better than I expected. The cost of all the work was very reasonable. I will definitely use Skettle in the future.

No complaints: he was on time, did the work as promised, and did it expeditiously.

The entire job was done very professionally, from estimate to finish. They not only replaced the old breaker box, but also moved and raised the connect point at my house for the main electrical line. All wiring is clean, straight and tight.

They did and excellent job and we really liked them a lot. They were very professional. They had reasonable pricing. I am very pleased with them and I want to thank Angie's List for this referral. We will be using them again in the future.

They were great. They came over fast, took me into their schedule. I had also used them before, and they have always been good to me.

(05/10/2010) They pulled up the wire and ended up damaging the lights. They ended-up leaving the wires above ground instead of burying them. They also drilled a hole in the garage at the door, instead of up higher where I wanted it. They overcharged me and I was very disappointed with the work that was done because they didn't do it how I asked them to do it. UPDATE (06/04/2010) Don'ts- Make verbal reports: Dos- Admit when you have made a mistake. Worked performed in 2008 - I DID NOT REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE COMPANY that I was dissatisfied with the work. My report was totally unfair to Skettle Electrical Co., they deserved to be called when there is a problem. My poor judgment has caused reader to believe this company is not worthy. Skettle's is a GOOD Company. I sincerely apologizes for any mis-conceptions and or mis-deems.

I originally contacted Skettle Electric to correct the improper installation by another company of a sub-panel for additional circuits we had added. During the estimate, I was informed that our main panel would not pass a point of sale inspection. I decided rather than just repairing the incorrect installation that I would have the main panel replaced and eliminate the sub panel. They arrived late for the installation appointment, but did call to let me know. The job was completed on time and on budget. I am very happy with the work that was done. Kathy keeps you informed. I would use Skettle Electric again.

We were in real need of upgrading our electrical system. Skettle Electric worked around our previously scheduled attic insultaion job with seeminly no problem. It is quite possible that I did not list all the work that was done because we added to the job as we went along. Kathy Skettle answers your calls and handles scheduling and is pleasant to deal with. Tony Skettle is very knowledgeable in his field and took the time to explain to us what he was doing. He and his crew are friendly and nice to have work in your home. They worked here for a number of days, worked very efficiently and left our home in clean condition. We no longer trip circuits and we now have all the power we need. There is no doubt that we will call on Skettle Electric for any future electrical needs and we highly recommend their services.

They are excellent to work with. Reasonable price for what they do. Working with old homes is not easy: just try to get electrical cable through a plaster and lath wall. Skettle is skilled at working with these older homes. I will continue to use them for all my electrical needs.
