First Choice Asphalt Sealing

This company never called me back. I need a refund of the amount of money I paid through Angie's list. I no longer need their service. I provided my email address, so they could get in contact with me. . Unfortunately, no communication from the company.

I had a very good experience with this service provider. I was having trouble getting ahold of them at the beginning. When I did get ahold of them, it was in the middle of all the rain that we were having and he told me that if it stopped raining enough he would be in here to do the job and sure enough he was. He did it the day that we closed on the house. I was very impressed with that!

We purchased the voucher in March and simply never got a call to actually schedule the work. We called them 6 or 8 times and were never able to schedule the work. Many reasons were given-the weather,illness etc. We tried to be understanding but the driveway needs to be done. I intend to do the job myself.

This company did not contact me as required to perform the work on the days that selected and they ignored my decision and came out and sealed my driveway on a day that I did not agree to when I happened to be out-of-town. Their decision to seal my driveway on this day interfered with my plans because I had a dinner party scheduled for the evening. This company does not listen to the customer they want to do things their way. and on their schedule. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please use another company.

Scheduling was fine and they did a good job. We’ve used them before. They didn’t damage any of the plants or grass in providing the asphalt seal coating.

After the initial contact through Angie's List when they asked for 3 dates for the service and said they would call, they never called within 10 days up to the first date given for the service.

Very disappointed to see that this company is again advertising their driveway sealing services when they have not provide the services I paid for over 3 weeks ago. I have sent angie list mail and left phone messages, but have not been received any response. We did get a call about a week after paying for the deal saying they were running behind because of the weather and would get to us soon, but nothing since then. I understand how weather can affect a business like this, but that is not an excuse for not communicating with customers that have already paid while actively taking money from new people.

I purchased the sealcoating special in late May and my drive was not sealed for approximately 5 weeks. It took a long time to get a call back from the company and even get scheduled. Once it was finally sealed, the job was not completed to my satisfaction. I requested that some larger cracks be filled with extra sealer and then sealcoated with the top coat. However, I got home and it was not done as requested. I eventually go ahold of the company and requested that they come back to do it as requested. It was done two weeks later at no additional cost. They were more than happy to make it right.

It went very well. Whatever product they use is better than anything that has been on my driveway before. It really lasts.

Had some weather delays, but on it as soon as they could. So, as expected. No issues.

Everything turned out well, and we had no issues with the service. We appreciated that they told us in advance that we would have to pay extra since our driveway had a larger area than what was covered by the deal.

It turned out just fine. They did a good job and scheduling was also fine.

Provider was very hard to schedule. Rescheduled several times. Angie's List "big deal" also stated that it included crack repair, which provider said was a "type-o." Seal coat was extremely thin and didn't really do anything to help condition of driveway. Disappointed.

Had to write a bad review to get them to respond...but they did and it looks good...not sure why the delay in responding to my calls other than owner was ill according to one email I received in April...it was June 18 before they arrived and did the work. They called in the evening left a VM to let me know they were coming in the morning at 8:00. And they showed up at exactly 8:00. Once here they were fast and the driveway looks good. I might use them again because everyone deserves a second chance.

They messaged me on 6/5/14 and asked me for my phone number and they would be calling me. I never heard anything from them. I am now just requesting a refund.

I purchased the service and picked dates 4-6 weeks out as possible days that would work with our schedule for driveway seal coating. Knowing how difficult seal coating can be with weather, I felt like this was more than enough time to notify the provider and try to work with them to get on their schedule. The service provider reached out through Angie's List mail immediately and said they would be calling me to schedule. Yesterday I received a call from someone at the company saying they were just calling to tell me that due to weather they were running two weeks behind and that they would call back another time to schedule an approx date. I asked if they were still going to be two weeks behind 4-6 weeks from now and the person on the phone said that he didn't know. I was then put on hold until the foreman could get on the phone. The foreman gave me the same story and when I asked when we would know they were coming, he told me that they would call me the night before. I told him that we were trying to schedule around work, daycare, vacation, etc. and that it is tough to only have 12hrs notice. When pushed to provide more notice, he became frustrated with me and asked me how I expected him to predict the weather. I told him I wasn't asking him to do that, I was only asking him to commit to a week that they could come, notify us with at least a couple days advance and that I completely understood if the weather ended up changing that date. He said he would make a note on our file to try and call a week ahead, but that he couldn't promise anything. Earlier in the conversation, he told me that they were completely overwhelmed with all the backlog of work and all the people purchasing Angie's List deals. He also said that he was frustrated with Angie's list enabling customers to select / suggest dates on the calendar for service because that doesn't work for a business like his. I lost my level of confidence that the service could be performed.

It was just a very basic service it would have looked better if they filled in the cracks which wasn't part of the coupon but I would have preferred being offered an upgrade.

We have scheduled the service and they have been fine so far. I am cautiously optimistic.

We were pleased. Two employees came out and it took them a couple of hours. The owner was caring. We have purchased Big Deals from this company in the past too.

It went very well. They do a good job, they are a good company.

Contacted 1st Choice Asphalt Sealing and played a phone tag for a couple of days but John always got back to me. Explained to me the owner was in the hospital and normally deals with the voicemails but John did a great job of getting back to me when time permitted. I explained my situation and John worked me into the schedule and performed the work. I am more than pleased with the experience and would DEFINITELY us

They did a nice job on the driveway.

I have talked with them a number of times, even to have someone come out because of the size of my driveway, sometimes I would have to call or email twice. They did apologize, but they also kept promising to come out, at this point, I need the work done now. Update: Driveway completed on June 6, 2014: Very good work!

Absolutely Fabulous. Answered first phone call. Great communication throughout entire process. Weather required rescheduling but I'd much rather have it rescheduled than them just "get it done" and have it messed up by rain. Quality is far superior to other companies we have used in the past - they did an absolutely fabulous job.
