First Choice Asphalt Sealing

The work was done well. Everything was fine with the service and we had no problems.

It didn’t look like they layed anything down.

Hard to get a hold of to schedule a time to come. The date we agreed on was August 1st, but did not show up. When he finally got here he said he could not do the work unless we had someone come out to power wash down the drive and get rid of the dirt.

I purchased a "big deal" to have my driveway resurfaced. The company did everything as expected and did a great job. They driveway looked great and they did a nice job with keeping other areas clean. Thanks!

My tenant scheduled the asphalt resealing service with 1st choice asphalt resealing before I purchased the Angie's List deal offered by the same company. So they had already done the job when I purchased the deal. My tenant says that they did a great job, were very prompt in scheduling the service, and they were overall very professional. So I would give them an "A" in all categories.

I bought the "big deal" for $89. Having read the fine print, I knew I'd pay an upcharge due to the size of my driveway. I was pleased, given how busy providers get during a Big Deal, that they came within a week. They did a terrific job, quickly, and were pleasant. I would hire them again.

They resealed my driveway. Very professional. Because of the rainy summer, they kept me informed that service will be performed as soon as they caught up on the backload and the weather was cooperative.

It was good. My husband worked with the company. We've used them in the past.

They did a good job. They were able to come out the same day, as I recall. The driveway looked wonderful and the tech was polite and courteous. We've not had any problems and it seems like they took extra care -- they really knew what they were doing.

Purchased an Angie's List deal for $89. There was an $18 upcharge because we have a 3 car garage, but I expected that.

It went great. Skilled professional job. No complaints. Arrived as planned. Excellent.

The service went well. They did exactly what the deal stated. I did find some better deals with different companies after purchasing the deal. Two people came out for the job and completed it within 15-20 minutes. They were efficient workers and did a nice job. I had problem getting in touch with the company or scheduling the service.

They made sure to call us ahead of time, doing everything they could to avoid confusion. They have very good service and are very professional.

The company is very reliable and the finished product is excellent. Rain was in the forecast for later in the day, so the crew came a little earlier in the day to allow for enough dry time. Driveway looks great.

I signed up for this big deal, I got an email asking to provide contact info and they sent me 5 spam phone calls. And I believe it is a spam solicitation. Those SPAM calls came from individuals indicating they were with the asphalt company but were not calling to schedule an appointment. They were calling to convince me to upgrade my purchase with the service provider. I filed this rating review with Angie's list and requested a refund. After filing that review I received a phone call from a man named Gene who denied the previous calls were from his company and indicated he had been out of the office for several months due to a heart attack. He was unable to explain how the previously mentioned SPAM calls came to the phone number I have provided in response to his earlier email. I had provided a different number not available through Angie's List which reaffirmed my belief the calls were coming from his company. I listened to his denials and jibberish for about five minutes and then informed him that I had requested a refund through Angie's List and that I did not want to hear from him or his company for any reason in the future. A few days later (August 12th), at 4:50 PM I received another call from Gene indicating his company was going to be in my area the following day and asked what time we would like to be serviced. I reminded Gene of our previous phone conversation. He acknowledged that he remembered our previous call, the do-not-disturb conditions of that phone call and still wanted to provide the service which he knew had been cancelled. He was, in essence, acknowledging the violation of the terms of our previous phone call, the terms of service of Angie's List and conducting a harassing phone call. I called Angie's List and spoke to a CSR who recommended I update my "review". Based on the original SPAM calls and the intentional harassment afterwards, I strongly recommend you not use this provider.

There was a little trouble in the beginning with communication. It was explained to me that the owner was in the hospital, however. I contacted Angie’s List for assistance scheduling the service. They did exactly what the deal stated. I was not home while they did the service, but I was pleased with the outcome.

Knowledgeable and friendly. Answered all my questions. Did a great job.

Once my order was located, reasonable contact, although I was disappointed that I wasted a day at home when they didn’t arrive to do the job and but more than double the Angie’s List price. I didn’t read the fine print, so perhaps extra cost for their extra prep work, etc is in the contract

Just had to dodge the weather all went fine

I intially contacted the provider and left a voicemail message for asphalt sealing use the angies list special. Several days later I got a return phone call. I had an appt. sched with Americoat and he ensured me he could get the work done prior to their service date so I cancelled my appt. with Americoat. I never heard anything so I contacted them again and was promised to have my work done that same week. I never heard back from them.

Horrible experience. It started out well as they contacted me the very next day after I had purchased the big deal, and they told me they would be calling me once the plant opened for the season and the weather warmed up, which was acceptable to me. They then sent me a message on 4/29 that they would be contacting me in the next 2 weeks, weather permitting. As of 6/29, no one had contacted me! I sent them another message, and all I got back was a reply full of whining and excuses. I'll be looking for another company to do my driveway sealing this year and will never use 1st Choice ever again.
