First Choice Asphalt Sealing

They did a great job. They were good and I don’t have any complains. I think they were very thorough. They pulled the weeds before they sealed it. They were honest about the quote. I decided to use them because they were near the area.

This was an "Angie's Big Deal" purchase and it was an excellent experience. I originally purchased in late March. I was contacted within a very few days. I explained that I was having a new patio installed so wanted to wait until after that was completed before sealing the drive rather than mess up the seal coat. I received total agreement and cooperation. And they told me I would not be charged any more if we had to delay past the June 30th big deal expiration date. I would only be charge more for anything over 600 square feet. Talk about customer service! I was impressed! But wait... there's more! As luck would have it, our new patio wasn't started until June 15th... and not completed until July 15th. And after the patio was done, we decided to install a new concrete driveway. Since I also own another home in the area, I asked 1st Choice if we could change and seal that driveway instead. Again, absolutely no problem. They were extremely customer-centric and totally willing to change locations. We set a date/time. They arrived on time (actually a little early, but no problem) and began by measuring the driveway. I had 864 square, 200 sq ft over the big deal amount, so there was a $50.00 additional charge... very reasonable, in my opinion. The drive was swept, cracks filled, and sealed. It only took an hour or so. From start to finish, everyone I talked to was very professional, accommodating, and seemed committed to customer service. I would definitely hire 1st Choice Asphalt Sealing again, and would certainly recommend them to my family and friends.

The service went fine. They were very flexible with our schedules. I was not home while they did the service, but I was pleased with the outcome. My husband chatted briefly with the technicians before they left the service. I feel like a confirmation call before coming out for the service would have been nice.

My experience was fine. They did a good job. It was a pain free process. They did the work when I was not there. They were very communicative and let me know when they would be available.

Gene, the owner is professional, friendly, good business man. His crew performed a very good job. They were fast, friendly, very careful. Even my neighbor liked their work, so they did his dry way right away. I am very happy .

We ordered the service via Angies List for $89. There was an additional $40 surcharge due to the size of our driveway which we were expecting. The company showed up on the date they said they would and we did not have to be home for the service. However, upon arriving home we noticed that there were some foot prints on our newly coated driveway. We left a message for the owner that evening and they came back the next morning and re-coated the entire driveway. They did a much better job than my last attempt. The driveway now has a much smoother texture than before.

great, second year in a row, will use them again!

The resealing work looks very good. No complaints there, although obviously it's too soon to comment on how well it holds up. Communication was a bit of a challenge. We were expecting a call when we were coming up on the schedule, but the first call we got was them on the Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend saying they'd be there the next day (Memorial Day). That was, of course, too short of notice for us, so we had to reschedule. Eventually it all worked out and we are happy with the results.

Came out 1st morning. Did a good job

The driveway of our recently purchased 1958 fixer upper badly needed resealing. This company was on time and flew into action. They neatened up the ragged lawn edging the driveway, and got the job done quickly. We have only recently been living in a home with a driveway, our previous home being on an alley, but we're pleased with the result. My sister and her husband, who live a block away, used the same company for their driveway and recommended it to us.

There were a few weather-related delays in getting my driveway sealed, but once the company arrived and performed the work, it was done well.

The company operates by sending teams to zip codes so they left a message about when they were coming. I was out of town and had a car in my driveway, so I contacted them to cancel the appointment day and time that they had advised me of. I called the company and left a message for them to contact me. They did. Gene explained how the company schedules. After our discussion, he scheduled me for mid-August. Then they call the day before they were coming. If one would like to have them come, they just get ready for them and they come at the time they tell you they will be there. If, like the first call that I got, you won't be able to have them come, then you call and let them know. They will automatically reschedule you. They came exactly when they said they would be at my home. They advised me what they would do. They sealed the driveway with a nice thick coat. They sealed to the exact sides of the asphalt along the sides of the driveway. They roped off the driveway. And they advised me when they were finished, how long I needed to wait until I could drive on the asphalt and they left. The job was well done. I am very satisfied. I will be contacting them in the fall to correct a part of one side of my driveway.

Everything turned out well, and it was a good experience. The price was competitive, the young man who came completed the work quickly, and he did a good job with the sealing as well as with some cracks that he filled.

I thought they did a great job. They let me know via e-mail what day they were able to make it out and the window of time they were looking at. They called the morning of to let me know they would be there in about 20 minutes. The workers arrived right on time and it only took them about 30-minutes to complete the job. They gave instructions and were on their way. The great part about it was that there was no additional charges and my driveway looks great! I do wish someone would offer a service that repaves or fills in the old crack rather than sealing, but I'm happy with the results nonetheless!

Overall, the quality of the sealcoating appeared much better than our previous 2 service providers and at a better price. The only negative was that our scheduled day got pushed back a day and the work was performed when we were out of town. When we came back we noticed that due to our unusual driveway configuration (we share a driveway with another residence and the city recently tore up our driveway to install sewer lines) the last 15-20 feet of the driveway was not completed. Still we were satisfied with the quality of their work.

A little messy when they put the sealant down...sprayed up onto the garage doors. They did come back after it was dry and powerwash garage doors to get the black tar off of them.

It went well. Scheduling was good. He was flexible – we delayed him a few times but he worked around our schedule; it worked out real well. It took him a few hours to do the job and he did it while we were at work.

Never heard from the company after purchasing the Big Deal.

Poor communication. Once I received an email saying the service would be pushed back by one month due to family emergency. However, when I called back a month later to follow up it was difficult to get a clear answer if they were going to perform the service. Then after waiting another 2 weeks I received empty promises. Then finally after calling 2 weeks later the service was performed 4 days later. Many excuses given but job was performed with excellence.

It was fine. I had them do my rental property and I was not there when they did the job. Scheduling went very smoothly.

It went very well. They got it done promptly. He did everything he promised to do.
