First Choice Asphalt Sealing

Job went as expected. We had been battling rainy weather and provider was able to get the job completed on weekend to ensure it was complete before rain. Well done and good job! Saved me the time to do it myself and turned out better than I imagined!

They came around 10:00 a.m. and sealed the drive way in one hour. Did a good job. This was the third time I hired them. Definitely I will hire them again next year.

1st Choice was great. After purchasing the deal I realized I had a project that would delay sealing my driveway. They worked with eventually doing the job several months later. In that time the previewd the job, estimated the total cost, stayed in touch and did very thorough job at the end.

We bought the coupon from Angie's List on 08/04/2014. 2 whole months later, after many phone calls they finally came out on 10/18/2014 to do the work and it was 53 degrees that day. The coupon was for $89 but because we have such a large driveway and there was a lot of cracks it was $250 more. Not a bad price. The work was good but because of the weather it did not dry as quickly as it should as a result some of the crack filer peeled off. Overall they were nice and the work adequate but the timing was TERRIBLE.

They came and did the work. There were some touch ups that they had to complete.

Took awhile to get it scheduled, but once they came they were very quick and did a good job.

Did very nice job. Hhowever, I had was not expecting them on the date when they arrived. I had set up on line and gave them 2-3 dates and times. After that, I hadn't heard from anyone.. Therefore, I was surprised when they arrived to do the job. They did a good job..

Excellent prep and coverage of driveway area. The responsiveness and punctuality were marked down slightly only because I understood that the weather was playing havoc on their schedule. Otherwise great service that has been repeated year after year for our household.

The team did a good job. They arrived and blew off the driveway, sealed it right away. Overall there was little/no splatter. Very happy with the results.

They were slow to contact me...very slow...and then when I called back they must not communicate between partners. The second person I spoke to didn't know that I had spoken to someone else. It took a very long time for them to actually be able to do my drive after they had my money and finally contacted me. It was a rainy summer, but there were plenty of days it could have been done. Then they left me a bill for an additional $45 saying my drive was over the regulation size...which I have had A1 do it for several years and it was never termed larger than the regular price. Also said they had to weed...they did not edge my drive as it said in the description.

Service was fine. Just wished I could have chosen the day for service. Coupon was not really helpful since driveway was bigger than amount allowed. Would use them again though and liked how professional the sealer was.

Every thing was very satisfactory. Their speed, quality of work and they are very professional.

Outstanding. On time. Courteous. Plan to use there service annually, and will request an annual reminder from provider.

We had a very worn and cracked driveway that looks great now! The technician, removed the dead weeds from the cracks, and sealed them before he put on the top coat. He did a wonderful job!

Pretty good communication, arrived on time, measured driveway and assessed additional charges which seemed more than I expected. Overall very good, just a bit of sticker shock.

That service turned out good. They did the sealcoating to our old home. I remember when it was done, it improved the curb appeal and we sold the home a less than a month later. The service took them a couple of hours.

I think it went well. I would have liked an itimized bill since my driveway was over 600 square feet I would like to have seen what the additional $90 I am paying went towards. However, I feel the overall price was fair considering my driveway is large.

I purchased this service from one of Angie's List Big Deals in June and asked that the work be done in September which they honored. I knew up front that it was going to cost more than the advertised cost as I was going to have cracks to be filled. The technician did an excellant job and I was pleased with his work and professionalism. The only thing that I was disappointed in was they just showed up after telling me they would call first. The technician was apologetic. I would recommend them and will use again.

Everything went well I reserve Excellent Ratings to situations where I feel my expectations were exceeded, i.e. every facet of the experience EXCEEDED my Expectations. If I used a criteria of "rating on the curve", i.e. compared to the norm of other providers I would give an Excellent rating. So, please Do Not interpret my Good rating to imply something other than good, God's rating when He created the universe, i.e. Very Good!) Thank you! The only reason I'm opting out on sharing this rating to the public is because I do not want it misinterpreted which is a risk when dealing with the unreasonable and ill-informed..

Details of the drive way situation was explained before the coating.

Did not go very well The job was not done to my satisfaction. There were still some pockets unsealed. The owner went next day and said that that is all he can do it fror $ 69. He was quoting $ 800 for complete repaving. I would not have spent $69 if this is what he is going to provide. He could have told me before the work ,

Altho it took him a couple of weeks to get to us, as usual the young man that did the seal coating was very meticulous in his work. A few years ago we tried another company and they were messy and left black foot prints in our yard and on our sidewalks and tar in the street. This is our 3rd year using 1st Choice Asphalt and we won't use anyone else. Their service is worth the wait... A BIG THANK YOU for doing a great job once again!
