First Choice Asphalt Sealing

It took a while for them to get to us because the weather was bad. Initially they went to my neighbors! but it all worked out in the end. They did a very good job and the price was outstanding.

He came when scheduled. The driveway was larger than the Big Deal allowed for, so we paid $20 more for the project. It looked fine when completed.

They did a good job. They came when they promised. There were no additional fees associated with the deal.

The service turned out good. There were no issues with the visit but I had a hard time reaching out to those guys and getting response back from them. It was probably a month or more before they could come and do it. They came within the day they promised.

It was wonderful. They did a great job. We were not home when they did the job but it was done when we got home. They followed up on our phone call and they were very nice. There were no extra charges. The price was good. It was a good deal. I did not have any complaints with them.

I was very satisfied. They were affordable. They were on time. They did what they said they were going to do. When I scheduled them, they came out immediately.

My experience was wonderful. They were professional. They did the job right and cleaned up well. Scheduling an appointment was easy.

It went fine. Good company and met my expectation.

Quite late arriving but completed the job as promised.

My wife and I recently moved into this home, and on one hand, it was great that we finally were able to have the painted on shamrock from the local high school finally covered up on our driveway. On the other hand, I was disappointed to find tar spilled on our lawn in a few spots. Additionally, the service was performed when we were not home, and we were expecting a handout/handwritten note about instructions e.g. when are we able to talk on the driveway, when can we drive on it, etc.. I called them, left a message and did receive a courteous call back. However, I would assume this to be a common question amongst customers, therefore having this information readily available would have saved me the trouble of an annoying google search while I waited for a call back. Lastly, I have now noticed a large crack right across the middle of my driveway. It actually looks worse than before we had it resealed...and we're not even 2 months out and have had a relatively mild winter thus far.

They did a great job. They were quick, clean, and communicative when, due to all the rain we had, they had to delay the service a bit. Good people.

This is the third time I've used 1st Choice Asphalt Sealing. I called them much later than usual to see if they could schedule me before it got too cold. They were able to fit me in which I really appreciated. They did a very good job as usual.

Had to reschedule because of rain. They showed up right on time on a Saturday and completed the job in a timely manner.

It went great - no hassles. They set a time, did the work as described when scheduled, and that was that.

Polite and professional over the phone. He said that he wasn't going to travel the distance to do the job.

Everything went well, and I had no issues with the service.

1st choice got in touch with me in a reasonable amount of time to schedule- I think it was a day or two later. I scheduled with them for a time I thought was going to be good for us, and then forgot about it. I was not prepared when they showed up and they were extremely nice and accommodating about the fact that I had to cancel on-site. Eventually I passed the task off to my husband as I was out of town for 6.5 weeks. He scheduled with them and they did the work. It proceeded to rain heavily, washing away the sealant. I am very concerned about the environmental effect of this incident as the storm sewers in my town run right into the river! Next time we will be more conscious of the weather forecast. In my opinion, they are the professionals and should have been more conscious about the weather forecast and the fact that this stuff can wash away like that. That said, 1st choice came back and re-did the work at no charge and the driveway looks pretty good. There are a few places where the driveway has some seams/ cracks and the sealant did not properly bridge so it is coming out. As I have never had a driveway like this before (my other two houses had concrete), I was unaware that this could be a problem. I would have appreciated advice on how to prep the driveway better for sealing, or even better, if they could have suggested the work that needed to be done, we probably would have paid them to do it for us. Overall, the driveway is in much better shape now than it was before. Next time I will do more extensive preparation of the driveway before sealing it. When that time comes, I will certainly call 1st choice to do the sealant for us again. They were very nice and responsive.

The company has closed for the season and is no longer taking service calls till May of next year. I have now requested a refund.

I recently moved into a new house and wanted to get the driveway sealed in preparation for winter. I purchased an asphalt sealing deal from Angie's list, however after purchase the company contacted me and stated they would not be able to perform the service until Spring, five months from now. Unfortunately I cannot have my money tied up that long so I requested a refund.

Spoke with Gene on the 16th of September to get my driveway sealed - 150.00 service advertised for 100.00. He said they would do the job within 10 days and let me know shortly before they planned to do it. Gene sounded like a great guy when I spoke with him on the phone but that was the last I heard from him. They never showed up to do the job and did not return my phone call when I sought to find out what was up.

Purchased deal but company stated that work was done for the season and proposed I wait (with them holding my money) six months until April.

I had no problems scheduling. The service was fine. They did the work while I was on vacation and it was all done when I came home.

It took so long for to back to me and then they told me they would do the job.

I purchased this Big deal on July 10, 2014. I exchanged a few emails to see if they were still going to do the job at the end of August. They eventually came to do the job but I had logs and shingles in the way. They left me instructions on what needed to be done before they were able to complete the job. ( I grew up with a gravel driveway, so I didn't know what needed to be done before hand.) Then I was left to wait until October. I know their business is weather dependent but if you're not going to make it on the day you told me, please give me a heads up. I did not enjoy the lack of communication on their end. I will no use this company again but after the work was finally performed, they did do a good job.
