First Choice Asphalt Sealing

I arranged for my driveway to be sealed while I was away, and when I returned, everything was done as promised. The owner was very easy to work with in making the arrangements ts in advance.

I would say just a basic driveway sealing job which looked good when it was done. I wanted an early contact so to set the date in the future. I received a text saying they could not do it on that date. Then I got a call on that Sunday saying they could do it the next morning. I said that would be fine. Only 2 issues. First I would think the application would go into the edge cracks between driveway and sidewalks but the seal came short of that. Second, I asked the applicator what the mix was of the sealant he was using he said, "100% sealant and 1/3 water". HUH? 100% then 1/3 water? I am not a math wiz but hummmmmm. I guess the future will tell as to how well this sealant lasts. The applicator told me I should have it resealed annually. Hummmmm

They were doing a neighbor when I approached and asked if they had time to do another! I should've scheduled ahead but I kept forgetting! The team was great and they honored the Angie's Lost price even though I didn't make an appointment ahead of time! We will be using them again!!

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for sealing my driveway knowing I would pay more than the deal price of $89 because my driveway was larger than the 600 sq. ft. stated in the deal. I also had cracks that needed to be filled. When I purchased the deal, I selected the option of scheduling the appointment at a later date. The owner then sent me a message via Angie's List that he would be contacting me. I left a message via Angie's List that I would like him to call me before my appointment to discuss some things. He eventually called to leave a message that he was coming the next day. Knowing it would rain the next evening, I called him on his work phone and left him the message that I wanted to reschedule due to the rain. I did not receive a response, but he must have received my voicemail because my driveway was not sealed. I then left a another message via Angie's List that I would like him him to call me before the next attempted appointment so I could move my vehicles and also to discuss estimates for the filling of the driveway cracks. He did leave a voicemail for me about the next scheduled appointment, so I was able to move the vehicles, but I didn't get an estimate about the cracks. No one was home when the driveway was sealed, but my husband and I were very impressed with the finished product. The workers filled the driveway cracks fairly well, and the sealing was smooth and precise.The bill was left in my door. Because I had a question about the price, I called the owner that evening. He asked me about my satisfaction with the job and discussed the price with me, which he then finalized with me in a friendly, professional manner. My husband and I thought it was a great price. I will use this company again, but, next time, I will call the owner to ask all my questions rather than using Angie's List messaging.

They did good work, however I wished that the quality of their materials would have been a bit better.

I am happy with the work. Everything was done properly and there the company was easy to work with. I would use them again.

It was good. It went well. They had a crew. All were good. They're better than average.

I needed the job done sooner than they could come. He was excellent in communicating.

He responded to me when I bought it and asked for some dates that might work. I sent him some dates and he responded he was ill. I found someone else in my neighborhood that could do it.

Was a delay in provider responding to my request but work was eventually completed satisfactorily.

Prompt, professional and courteous and did a good job.

I was happy with the service. Did what was requested to my satisfaction.

Me and my wife bought our first home last October. In an effort to try to freshen some things up, we contacted 1st Choice Asphalt to come over and seal our driveway that appears to have been neglected for some time. My wife contacted 1st Choice in the middle of March to come out and give us an estimate. They quoted the job at $180.00 and told us it would be the first of May before they could get to us. We agreed. They contacted us on 4/20/15 and told us that they would be coming out on the 23rd. We were happy that they could come out weeks before we expected them. As for the job... We were not home while the work was taking place so I cannot comment on their professionalism, but the driveway looks great and the interaction we've had with the company over the phone has been wonderful. We have a large gap at the end of the driveway (where it meets the sidewalk) that required a little more work that just applying sealant - but they filled the gap with sand and sealed over it. It will need additional repairs, but we appreciated their wiliness to provide us with a temporary solution until we get around to fixing it. Overall, I was really impressed with the smoothness of the transaction. I've never had this experience before, so I can't comment on pricing or anything else - but the driveway looks really good. The owner even said that I could easily fix the driveway myself and if I went out an bought the necessary materials that he could walk me through the process. I probably won't need the help, but its nice that he offered. Very impressed with the overall experience. Thanks!! (P.S. - they were also very clean)

He estimated $178 additional over the $89 for the deal. My driveway is not that large.

They didn't contact me for WEEKS after my purchase. Then they did not give me an estimate as to when they would arrive. This spring I am already seeing their work chip off. Obviously they use cheap material. I am not impressed.

I bought an AngiesList deal for $89 for resealing my asphalt driveway. We had one problem with footprint marks after the the driveway was resealed. They came out the next day and resealed the entire driveway again, this time leaving no footprints.

...now that it has been through a winter I can see that they did a really good job on a driveway that needed some help and I am very pleased!

Your basic driveway sealing. Looked good when it was done. Company never met with me to discuss the additional services I wanted, which was along the line of driveway repair in addition to the sealing.

They did a top coat on my driveway. They did an ok job for the price. They were prompt, friendly and did what was included in the deal.

They showed up unannounced at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon with no notice. I was expecting a phone call, but they never called. I had other things I had wanted to do that day, such as moving things across the driveway into the garage, but I was unable to now. They also trapped my car in the garage. They put on a very thin application of sealer. Within two days after they left, it didn’t even look like it had sealed. They said they had some problems at the office and they were trying to get everything done. They were very much unorganized. I would not use them again or recommend them to others.
