I will never, ever use this company again nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. Went with Crown because they were doing the maintenance on my A/C system previously. Crown told me I needed a new Condenser coil. I felt their price was high and I wanted to get a couple other quotes, but hey, it's August and it's like 90 degrees, so I had them do the job. They made me pay half upfront for the part -~$1600, even though the part was $1200. After completion I asked for a breakdown of the cost in terms of parts and labor. The techs made some lame excuse as to why they couldn't do that. I called their office several times, they hung up on me twice, and never called me back. Also, I meant to tell the techs I wanted the old coil but forgot. So in my discussion about the bill, I asked for the old coil back since it has copper scrap value, they in essence refused, so they basically stole the part from me, as they never asked me if they could take it. Do yourself a favor, go with a smaller, local independently owned contractor. Ask for an itemization of the cost and keep in mind that some parts of an AC unit have scrap value. If they don't give you an itemized cost don't go with them....lesson learned.

Let me start off and saying they installed them system not to specs. This came from the owners mouth. The owner did take the system out and install it again. I have had nothing but issues. They cut the heater bottom out, they set my system to one stage even after I told them I wanted it om 2 stages. They had to come out for the pump leaking water all.over the basement.They had to come out for no heat in my kitchen they had to come out for no heat in my kids room 4 times. Then they had to come out for a few other things. Then on the 23rd I had to call the emergency line because again the unit is leaking water all over my basement. It caused so much water it ruined alot of things in my basement. They called back ok the w3rd at 1127 pm and said they can't get out till Tuesday the 28th. I waited and waited today and no call or no owne showed I called the office about 4 and asked why. The owner Scott said he didn't care that they didn't show today because the techs were overworked. Now mind you my system was installed the end of October 2022 not either 3 months old and I have had to have this company out over 11 times to fix issues with their install. I have been lied to and nothing has been simple with this company.the only good thing I can say Don the main tech honestly cares and will try to do it right

Had Crown Heating and Cooling Uniontown come to my house to repair my air conditioning unit and was charged $99.00. Technician determined coolant was low. Put 2lbs of f410a coolant and charged $260.62 for the coolant. Technician quoted $131.00 to come back and perform a level 2 electronic leak test which I agreed to have them perform. When technician came back to perform leak test he went directly to the evaporator coil and found the leak.(I did some research prior to the leak test and and found Lenox had a problem with their coils) I was informed I needed a new coil and since the unit was installed 8-2017 the part’s only would be covered under Lenox warranty. Was quoted $1128.00 to replace the coil (coolant would be extra). Based on my prior research I knew this quote was outrageous and declined their quote. To get warranty work it requires an authorized Lenox dealer to perform the repairs. Requested quote’s from other authorized dealers and all quotes were much lower than CROWN HEATING and COOLING. Got the service done by an authorized Lenox and was very pleased. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price and would highly recommend them.(Will gladly provide the name if needed) In conclusion I would NOT recommend having service performed by CROWN HEATING and COOLING unless you enjoy PRICE GOUGING . Get quotes from other dealers an see how bad CROWN HEATING and COOLING really is.

They are excellent! They provide good value, they are highly trained and technically astood. The technician name is Don and he is excellent.

Crown Heating and Cooling price gouges customers. They steered me towards a Lennox air conditioning & heating unit, that had a known defect in the evaporator coil. They charge $150 a lb for coolant. I had the units installed in 2018, this is the 3rd summer using the unit, no refrigerant. I had a company recharge the refrigerant and all leaked out within 1 week. Now the unit is frozen, Crown charged $99.00 to tell me the unit was frozen, then wanted an additional $130.00 to diagnose the leak, which is commonly in the evaporator coil, as it's defective in this unit. The technician let me know that this is the 3rd one he's replaced this month, and it's half way through June. I have a 5 year warranty on parts with Lennox, so no charge for the evaporator coil, but Crown charges $1,048.80 to replace the coil, plus $150.00 per lb for coolant. So my $8,500.00 unit, is an additional $1,600 for coolant and labor on the 3rd summer use. This company is so overpriced, it's absolutely ridiculous!!! Will never use again. Please steer clear!!

They are very reasonable, very thorough and the Techs re service oriented.

Salesman showed up on time the day of the appointment. Went over the particulars of our home's existing defunct air conditioner, answered questions I had and gave me some literature on the brand he represented (Carrier). All in all he seemed very professional. However, as opposed to two other vendors I got quotes from, he left w/o leaving one. He said he'd send me one, but after 2 business days none had come. I therefore had to track him down and press him for the quote. He finally came through with it, but when I called later with some follow-up questions he was again slow to respond. In the end I decided to go with one of the other two vendors even though his price was lower. This was partially due to fact he said they had a 3 week backlog of work whereas the selected vendor was able to come out in a week; but it was also partially due to the unresponsiveness we'd experienced with the salesman - figuring it might be indicative of the whole company's approach to customers.

We're happy with them.We're on an annual program with them, so we're preferred instead of standard. They're responsive. They're professional. They are very respective of your home interiors. It takes about an hour to complete the work. The workers were great and cleaned up well. They do all of our work and have for the last ten years.

It all went well. The installers were on time, the install went smoothly and they cleaned up everything.

The work went smoothly. It took about 50 minutes to complete. However the cost was astronomical. The parts themselves were less than $300. I found this by looking at the prices online. Crown does not break down their prices. I can see why.... This hides the fact that they can charge over $600 per hour for labor. I spoke to the service manager several times regarding this. Before the work was done, he assured me it was because the work was going to take approximately 4 hours. He initially dropped the price as the original quote was over $1,100. He stated that they would do it for the price of someone who has a service contract. And I had already paid them $89 for the initial service call. I agreed to this thinking this job was going to take 4 hours or so to complete. I was surprised when the service rep was done in less than an hour and the price was still $900. I called to discuss again and the manager called his rep and basically told him to take more time and do some normal maintenance on my furnace (which took another 30 minutes), hoping that would pacify me and make me feel like I got more value for my money. So, they did work I didn't ask for to justify charging me this crazy price. I find $600 an hour for labor to be abhorrent and will not have Crown do any further work for me. Although they do good quality work, there is just no way to justify the way they do their billing.

Crown's pricing was in line with other quotes I received. They also installed a gas line for a new stove at a really reasonable price while they were on site. The service guys were nice, showed up on time, etc. I also have them signed up to do yearly service for my ac and heat.

All appointments that were scheduled were confirmed the day prior to the visit and they arrived on time. I cannot say if their price was good or excellent because we did not compare. We have been happy with Crown's services in the past so we used them again. I would say they are good with their services, I cannot say they are excellent. The installation went very smooth. I have had some minor clean up work since they left, but nothing to be concerned about. To me excellent is above and beyond, going the extra mile, no flaws, no glitches, etc. Being a previous teacher, I know what deserves an A thus my B ratings and by the way I would give it a B+ if that were possible.

They came out for a service call at the end of May but the repair was going to be 50-60% of the cost of a new unit so we went with the new unit. They were able to have the representative come out the same day to review all of the information regarding a new AC unit. They were very thourough and informative and seemingly honest about all of our choices and the differences in products, etc. They installed the new AC within 10 days, which was good given it was during a heat spell.

I am a disabled person who rents a home. I was released from the hospital only to find out that I had no air condition; which is crucial to my health and my Landlord was out of time. I called Crown Heating and Air Condition and asked them to come as soon as possible. What an incredible Blessing! The service man was here within a half hour. It was 90 degrees outside and to my great surprise and tremendous relief the central air was up an running within a half hour. Thank You, Crown Heating and Air Conditioner. Best Provider!!!!

We've used Crown Heating for yearly maintenance since we bought our condo 18 years ago. They have been nothing but professional in all that time. That is why we had them install our furnace and air conditioning systems. From Shaun coming to give us options to Russ and Walt installing the units, everything went great. We upgraded our equipment, plus put in a humidifier and air cleaner. Walt even pulled out our plants and replanted them in other areas because the air conditioner needed more room. Russ explained everything about our furnace to keep it running most efficiently. We are very pleased with the experience.

We had them replace a furnace earlier in the year when one of our office building's 5 furnaces quit working. When the second one needed replace we were happy to call them again. They were prompt, courteous and did a good job. We have had no problems and would definitely call them for any further heating and cooling issues for our business.

It went great. The techs are always pleasant and do their job effectively. We signed up for maintenance on our furnace and air conditioner and paid a flat rate for the year. It is great!

what can I say they didn't even tend to the problem.

They're very good. They're here on time, you made a phone call, they get back to you. We were happy with them. They did more than what they have to. I would use this provider again in the future.
