Recently bought a house with insulation and mold issues in a very tight crawl space. Called the specialists who first thought they would need to remove flooring to go in through the first floor. Actually completed the job by James and his crew squirming through for abatement of old insulation, detoxifying, insulating and placement of vapor barrier. Saved us the cost of new carpeting and vinyl flooring. Adam also refunded us some of the quoted price due to some work and materials not having to be done or replaced. I highly reccomend this company and wouldn't hesitate to call on their services again if needed. Professional, neat, courteous, and timely service with an excellent outcome.

had almost 40k in work done last year with ohio basement systems. My egress window is put in completely wrong and I still have major drainage issues. I have water literally coming through the window and causing the pump alarm to go off. The company has had people come out multiple times over the last few months to take pictures and NOTHING has been done to fix my issues. Supposedly they're THAT booked that my catastrophic problem can wait months to actually be worked on and I dont have faith it will be fixed on the ONE day they scheduled to "fix" the issue. Very unsatisfied customer to say the least. I have NEVER left a negative rating in my life, until now. I added pictures if you can find them of my mess. Perhaps the reason for their high rating is because its asked that customers rate BEFORE work is performed or maybe it's just my luck with them. Dont know.

Punctual, knowledgeable and helpful

I had lined up another company to waterproof our basement but decided to get one more estimate before the commitment. Josh, from Basement Authority convinced me to choose them. Josh showed me videos and explained how the water guard system works. The crew that came out were very professional and courteous. Midway through the job the guys showed me what was being done and asked if I had any questions. I would definitely recommend Basement Authority to anyone having water issues!!!

Staff were excellent!

Poor customer service. Salesman was the used car type. Convincing and personable up front but non-responsive and would only respond via text after we signed our contract. They don t follow up with you-you have to constantly call them. They also don t respect your time because they can t keep appointments. Installation crew also backed into our house, ripping off our vinyl siding and phone box. They did repair the siding but it looks like a patch job as new siding next to older, weathered siding is noticeably different. Our job still hasn t been completed going on 4 months now. $8,000 plus dollars is too much to pay for one huge headache. Beware of this company. Just because they re one if the biggest doesn t mean that they re the best.

The crew was professional, on time, explained process well. Josh, Andy, and Mike were fantastic! Our overall view was incredible, from beginning to end of the process.

I hired this company to replace a sump pump. The cost of $400 was quite high but given that I am not plumbing capable i had to do it. The installation was quick and the technician was good. His work was less than excellent as he did not secure the power cord or dispose of the old unit.

I had a great experience with Ohio Basement Authority. The man who came out to give a quote was friendly and local to my area. He took the time to explain to me why it happened and how we could fix it. We landed on a solution that was $12,000 less than the Basement Dr. quote! The issue I had was the front of my foundation was slanting in 3.5inches twisting my support beam, pushing out 2 other walls and the back wall cracked do too last winter. It was a scary mess, but they we kind, helpful and didn’t make it more anxiety stricken then it already was. Great company!

I had OBA replace my 60+ year old sewer line which was being eaten away by tree roots and a drainage pipe that had collapsed under a new driveway that the former homeowners had put in. From the associate who provided the estimate to the two crews that came to perform the work, I was thoroughly impressed with this company. Not only did they provide a better quote than two other companies I had take a look, but they also provided great recommendations about what to fix and what was unnecessary padding. They were able to schedule the work within the same month and I stayed around during the construction to watch them work. They were very polite, mindful of the neighbors and checked with me each time they had to do anything off script. Even the city inspector who stopped by to inspect the work indicated to me privately that the crew knew what they were doing and was performing good work. No one wants to dig up their yard to replace a sewer line but if it is something you have to do, you want to someone you can trust. I couldn't have been more happy with my experience with OBA and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a similar repair.

My installers of a new, bigger, reservoir and 2 new sump pumps were Gene and Jerimiah. They were careful to not damage my carpet on the finished side of my basement and even scrubbed the floor where they were working before they left. Good job guys!!!

The office was fabulous. The gentleman that we worked with that did our estimate was professional and a pleasure to work with. The 2 man crew that was sent to our home to fix our waterlines were not as friendly or as easy to work with. Lots of miscommunication which led to unnecessary work and cosmetic damage to my lawn. I should add that this took place while I was at work and could not oversee the project. I accept some of the blame of this. They were given a drawn map of directions from their office and I also received a copy. These directions were not followed. Once we returned from work and could assist, the work was completed and the men stayed until everything was cleaned up. This was well past their normal hours.

Very polite, professional and on time. The manager that did the estimate was on time ( unlike some from Home advisor i.e some no shows) Explained exactly what they would do at a reasonable price! The consultant that came out did not really examine the job completely. The technician came out but could not fix the problem I called them about. But, they did do work to keep the problem from getting worse.

Was a good experience and they were very up front about everything and very friendly.

We had an emergency main line break in our front yard. They were amazing and got everything finished and cleaned up in one day

Our salesman, John Becker was very knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. The workers were very neat and cleaned up our basement nicely. Very little dust. Basement looks and smells great. Very responsive to calls and concerns.
