Mid-Ohio arrived at our home before 7 AM and immediately went to work prepping the driveway. It was clearly evident that they were a professional, no nonsense team. They applied weedkiller to the edges of the driveway and then edged the entire area. They removed all the badly broken and alligatored areas, Then ground down , for new asphalt and removed all the debris. The crew was very detail oriented and were careful to blow, and sweep to ensure the area was clean before applying a tackcoat adhesive. A new layer of asphalt was applied and a sealer applied to the outside edges of the driveway. It never looked this good the first time we had it paved! It was also impressive how careful they were to protect the street from the equipment and debris.

He was prompt and explained that we did not even have to remove our old crumbled driveway because we could use that as our base and save money. Jason scheduled our work earlier than expected. ?The owner and his son were here along with six other professional workers. ?They brought about 7 trucks that looked very well maintained and arrived right on time. ?We were very impressed by how friendly and professional everyone was, great customer service,?they were meticulous, paid close attention to details?and did a great job cleaning up. ?We don't have a very big driveway so they were all done in 2 hours. Double check Angies List for a coupon when you get your scheduled date. I found one after the work was completed as I was ready to write this review and they said they would send me a check in the mail.

We were nervous about choosing a provider for the resurfacing of our driveway. I know very little about the process and it looked like the prior homeowners stalled in completing the project. Mid-Ohio was simply amazing. I like to wait a while to post reviews to ensure I like the lasting quality of the work. One year later and our driveway continues to be the selling point of our house. They paved the driveway, mailbox area, and an extra packing spot. They were punctual, respectful, professional, and the project length was exactly as quoted. We continue to recommend them to everyone in our business and personal lives. We renovated almost every inch of our house over the past two years and this experience was the best. I wish we could multiply this experience with other contractors.

Last year we had the driveway sealed by this company. We typically seal it every two years. We noticed in July that the drive was starting to look like we'd expect it to look after two years. I called the company in August and Jason called me back. I explained the situation, and asked what he would recommend. (I didn't ask for a refund - I asked him for his perspective.) He didn't ask any questions about the driveway. He didn't offer to come out and assess it. He didn't apologize for the product. Instead he said "basically this is paint for the driveway. After the bad winter, the paint just didn't last as long this year." I understand that the weather may be a factor, but I would still expect that the product used to "paint my driveway" would last longer than 10 months, and living in NE Ohio, the company would anticipate bad weather.

We were extremely pleased with the service provided by Mid-Ohio in installing our new driveway. The old driveway was long beyond its service life and crumbling, and there were other drainage and settling issues with an adjoining patio and private sidewalk. The guys came up with a plan to replace the old driveway and sidewalk and to repair the drainage system. The old driveway was demolished and removed and the site was prepared for paving all on the first day. The new drive was completed on the second day and looked amazing. Considering the size & complexity of the job we were impressed with how fast it was completed and especially how well it blended with our home once finished, just as though it had always been there. I was actually excited to see it rain hard several days later and watching all of the water flow exactly like they said it would with almost no puddling once the storm passed. They say you can tell a lot about a man by the way he takes care of his tools. Suffice it to say that all of the equipment was perfectly suited for the job and in like-new condition. Pride and professionalism were evident everywhere. All in all, this was a great experience with no surprises other than being pleased beyond expectations with the final outcome!

As I am out of town all arrangements were done by phone and the staff was very accommodating. They sent a proposal, which I compared to 2 other companies. Mid-Ohio was not the cheapest, but based on Angie's List reviews and some of my own research, I went with them. We set up a tentative date and They were there on time (early AM) and had made all of the arrangements. They were in and done in one day. I had someone present while they did most of the work and they stated that the crew was excellent and very friendly. I didn't have a chance to see the work until a few weeks later and it looks very good. I'm not sure what excellent would look like. I'm surprised at what a difference it makes. They do charge extra for paying by credit card, so sent a check, which as fine with them.

It was fine. They were neat and they did what they said they are going to do. I was 100 percent satisfied. They were available.

They do not use an approved type of sealant. They only use a carcinogenic sealant. I will not use them again because of that. But their service was fine. Their service was okay. They stand behind the product that they use which does not work by the way at all. It was installed at the wrong time of year and it pealed off, but they were fully willing to come in and re-do it. But they do not use, they only use coal tar based sealant and that is carcinogenic and it's actually banned in most states. I could not recommend them because of that. I don't think anybody should use a coal tar base sealant. But they stood behind their work. They did the service and they next spring it was clear that it had not stuck over the winter. And they said that they would immediately come out and re-surface so they stood behind their work. I would have been pleased with that except that about that same time I discovered that the installation of whole tar based sealant is banned in many jurisdictions. That's the only thing that they used at the time. I don't know what they use now, but I don't think it's petroleum based. The only thing that you can use in many places. Their service was first rate. Everything they did was fine. Everything they did was perfectly fine. Very professionally done.

That was fantastic. What stood out was their professionalism. They didn't make a mess. After they were done you couldn't tell that they had been there other than the job was done. There was no mess. There was no screaming, no yelling. They showed up, got it done and then they were gone. And they were quick too. They called me back an hour after I called them. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

The quote was over my budget, he quoted above $5,000. The guy was okay; he was professional and everything I would expect. I wanted to have an idea of how much it would cost; I am not doing business with him or anyone else either. I might consider calling him back when I am ready to do the work.

Spoke with Jason re options for driveway. He was very professional and gave me his opinions re what was needed. It took 2 phone calls to get a response but once he came I was happy with the result of the estimate.

Edged lawn, complete sweep with walk behind blower. Uses tar to strengthen edges all the way around. Very nice job. Driveway installed last year by them.

Removed and hauled away existing driveway. Applied fresh gravel base. Paved several layers of asphalt and rolled. Applied finish coat and rolled. Complete cleanup. Waited for the winter to pass to be assured of quality. Excellent Job at nearly 30% cheaper than the next best quote. Even cheaper than a resurface only quote.

We had a pine cone fall on the driveway on a hot day and it sunk in. They came to remove it and do a small repair as soon as we called them. We are planning to seal the driveway next year as recommended. The driveway looks great after a bad winter.

A neighbor recommended this company and we actually got a quote 2 years ago. They honored the same quote and finished the job in one day.

The owner came out promptly after I called them for an estimate, and was very professional, explaining the process to me. We had them resurface our driveway, and there were in and out in less than a day, leaving nothing but a brand new driveway to show for their troubles. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for any driveway or parking lot work. A++!!!

Rick,the owner, came out promptly for the estimate, followed up with a phonecall and answered all of my questions. His quote seemed very reasonable as one company wanted $9500 to replace the driveway and another wanted $5000 just to resurface it. We also chose this company because they have worked with our city a lot in the past-- which was a good thing when the project was stalled for a couple of days because of the city inspector (not Mid-Ohio's fault). The crew paid attention to details and even trimmed branches from my neighbor's tree so the dump truck did not break them. We are very pleased with the results. Lots of people are asking who did our driveway and we are happy to recommend this company.
